- On this day trip from Melbourne, I take a tour to Phillip Island!
I spent the first day exploring the best of Melbourne city. I've never spent longer than a week there and always wondered why it was so popular with Malaysians!
Phillip Island is about 2 hours from Melbourne, Australia. The guided tour starts early at 7am & takes half an hour to reach the first stop: Brighton Beach. We got to see the famous Brighton Bathing Boxes and spend some time in the sun.
We continued to the Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park to get up and close with Koalas, Kangaroos and other Aussie animals. This tour is perfect for tourists to Australia, it’s affordable and you’ll absolutely love it.
After lunch you’ll head off to Phillip Island, stopping at beautiful beaches. We walked around the lookout at The Nobbies and continued to the Penguin zone. I saw many wild wallabies along the way, very cool!
When the sun goes down… the penguins come out. Seeing the little penguin parade near Melbourne was the highlight of the trip. It was a long day so come prepared with jackets, power banks, water & snacks. I’d definitely recommend this day trip from Melbourne to tour Phillip Island. Check it out:

nice video thanks (btw, Phillip Island is, in fact, an island. It just happens to have a bridge. Many islands around the world have bridges connecting them to the mainland.)
Love this vlog ❤
Thanks Marco!
Lovely vlog💙
Thank you, glad you got something from it!
good evening. Super. incredible !
Evening, thanks for watching! Where are you from?
Been there to watch the penguins!
Awesome right!? Thanks for watching
What a beautiful island in Australia.
It was amazing, I hardly knew it existed until now!
@@JackAlderton Wonderful. There's a lot of beautiful tropical islands in Malaysia. You don't have to go to either Thailand, Indonesia or the Philippines to enjoy a beautiful island vibes. 😀
If you get there early before dawn, can see penquins go out into the water. Ie penquin parade in reverse.
Also you missed the pelican feeding at noon at San Remo pier, much better than seeing bathing boxes.
Awesome, thanks Geoff! Yes this was the timing of the tour so it is what it is.- good tip about pelicans, I remember them doing that up the central coast in Sydney when I was a kid. Recently I saw penguins come in at Stanley in Tasmania, honestly that was an even better experience.
Which tour operator did you hire for your day trip to Philip Island, please let me know. Thanks!
Hey Ash, it was Go West Tours - we booked it on Klook!
Could I ask which company you used for the tour? Planning my travels to Australia in October and deciding which operator to go for :)
Go West Tours! I also did the Great Ocean Road tour through them, both were smooth and amazing. Have a great time!
Hows the weather
Could be better but you're very south here so it's expected. A bit cold and windy but still pleasant since it's summer. I probably wouldn't recommend going in winter time.
