I have one for only a $500. limit 18 months interest free. It came in handy & easy to pay off in 5 months. I still have 13 months no interest left that may come in handy.
They may not be putting it on your bill, but they're keeping track of it. If you're one day late or have $1 left to pay off, then they charge you the interest you didn't think you were going to have to pay.
yes, but what he is saying is that people are unable to pay it completely off at the 6 month date, or whatever, and they get slammed with a huge interest charge.....we must be careful...the companies are counting on people not remembering to pay it off or unable to...
Interest accrues immediately after the purchase. No charges, however, if you don't pay off the total amount, you end up paying interest from the beginning.

With regards to the low marriage rate, I was married for 4 years (1998-2002), then divorced. Did very well in the financial settlement. Was awarded a very nice house (and everything in it!) during the housing boom and sold it in a mere 5 DAYS. Have remained single ever since. Zero regrets. I’ve got my own house, two sports cars, and a dog. No kids. Recently retired. Enjoy my own company thus never planning to remarry. No way. I’ve just got too much to lose. It’s ALL MINE…. and I’m keeping it! : )
Once you leave a balance of even $.01, you incur interest on all subsequent purchases. So every purchase get a 2.42% interest charge every MONTH. That effectively wipes out your 1.5% rewards. The credit card issuer makes over 5% a month on every purchase between you and the merchant.
credit trap? A lot of people fall into the credit trap. It happens. In the world in which we live, people sign contracts without reading them, they buy impulsively, they don't save for retirement and quite a few are late on paying their bills. Protecting these people from themselves will come at a cost to you as well. Over 60 years ago, I read a story about a school principal who did not buy home furniture, appliances and similar items on "lay away". The story was in the Reader's Digest. The principal suffered from comments from colleagues and family who said that living within your means and buying only when you had the cash showed that you were dumb and unsuccessful. However, the interviewed principal who was now retired said that it was best decision he had made. He owned everything he needed or wanted, just bought it later while other people had less. Dan's warning is not new. How many of his subscribers are going to sign for future credit traps. I dare say it will be most people who are not already retired.
Hi Dan U.K sub here. There's a company here which advertises on some tv channels quick loans up to £16,000. The interest rate is 99.9%. No more to be said. Regards from Chester.
Look into 2-cycle cards, too! If a statement is not paid off, in full, whenever there is an amount on the statement, the payee will pay more than the stated interest rate on the card. 2-cycle cards are usually associated with offers like cash back, flight miles, etc., etc., etc. If a person cannot payoff a card in full, every time, he/she needs to find a non-2-cycle card to use.
Discover started them in 1991, or before. At one time, there were 6 ways interest could be computed on a credit card, and there may new ways, too. I'm fairly confident the most favorable 2 ways for the cardholder are no longer available ..., unless someone is a real big hitter, financially. The interest rate is important, but so is how the rate is computed on an outstanding balance. We're not supposed to know this ..., and this is how the banks slice into cardholders' pockets, without them knowing it.
If you don’t pay the balance in full, you are fair game for massive intertest. Don’t forget about the little pamplets they constantly send to let you know of your term changes..yes, I read them!
The reason I don't read the pamphlets is that I restrict my use of my credit card, and I pay off the restricted purchases off, in full, in advance of the due date. I purposely use cash wherever I can. When it comes to tipping at a restaurant, the servers appreciate this because they don't have to wait 2 weeks to receive their tip, and it prevents management from dipping into the tips.
I read them out of curiosity and it keeps me informed of what is going on. I got a very interesting one yesterday from Chase…might be why it’s even on my radar. In my area you do not have to wait on tips, nor do you wait on management. You turn the money in, balanced, at the end of a shift. Then again, these younger ones might not know what all of that is….Merry Christmas!
we keep telling him that, but no comprende. The data isnt on your device, its on theirs. so those must have been old loans that were in the mix. the company had a different name until about 4 years ago when they changed it to Mr Cooper. and they are NOT a mortgage company, they are a mortgage SERVICER, meaning they do the customer service for real mortgage companies
5 years ago I was driving from Florida to Nevada. Near Houston my pickup completely crapped out so I put a car from a lot on my credit card. I didn't pay much attention but the car that bought realized the interest was hurting me so it caught on fire 10 miles outside of Twenty Nine Palms . I was forced to file a " Much Disputed " insurance claim, but it all worked out for the best (my best).
The reaon so many people don't get married today is they have "partnerships" without legal marriages. You just live with someone without getting married to him/her. If you added up all the people who have been in "stable relationships lasting four years or more, it would roughly equal the number who weremarried 30 years ago, when marriage was still fashionableI think that the census bureau has actually collected this information.
I think the reason marriage isn't happening as much is because people lost their values. It is the same reason people have divorced more in past decades. Their need to see how the "stars" are living and doing things have reduced integrity, morals, and ethics. That combined with evil constantly trying to remove God from every aspect of people lives. The decay of civilization.
I think its funny, all the losers bitchin about marriage, their poor life choices, having credit cards, etc, etc, etc. This is quite the entertainment. It must suck to suck

@@williamlyons3947 I hired two female divorce lawyers and was awarded the house. Funny what a little strategic planning can do. : )
I'm sorry to hear you will die old and alone, and your body will not be found for some days.
Dan, all most to late glad you said watch out for that trap 🔊, wow i almost ate it thanks Dan love you much 🤗🤗
Thanks for the video good information
Once you leave a balance of even $.01, you incur interest on all subsequent purchases. So every purchase get a 2.42% interest charge every MONTH. That effectively wipes out your 1.5% rewards. The credit card issuer makes over 5% a month on every purchase between you and the merchant.
Angry! Paying it off each month is the only way to use a credit card.
Please do a piece on dating apps and what a rip-off. They are and how they literally scam people.
credit trap?
'Lay Away', Dan. YUP, Always one lay away from getting 'engaged' Easy to 'run' away.

Watch tells your insurance company too.
Never heard of a 2 cycle card
Thanks Dan.
What for ? 🙄🤔🤔
A VPN does nothing when your info is at the company.
we keep telling him that, but no comprende.
Yeah

5 years ago I was driving from Florida to Nevada. Near Houston my pickup completely crapped out so I put a car from a lot on my credit card. I didn't pay much attention but the car that bought realized the interest was hurting me so it caught on fire 10 miles outside of Twenty Nine Palms . I was forced to file a " Much Disputed " insurance claim, but it all worked out for the best (my best).
I see what you did there.
