【Eleanor Forte】The Unending Storm 【SynthV Original】

- I wrote this song based around one of the DnD campaigns I DM, and decided I'd make it my first proper song with Eleanor. The story of a world trapped in an endless storm, from before its people can remember. But what of those who dream?

Lyrics:
The rain falls down,
I watch it flooding the town.
A stormy sky,
over a world that's waiting to die.
I wish that I could say that I had ever known
anything else but this
dreary churning sky that presses down upon us
filling our dreams and our
lives we live,
quietly wondering,
what we’ve done
to earn this sky as waters run.
So I watch it raining,
falling all around me,
and I start to think that
I might drown.
Everything I know,
everything I see,
held up in the sky,
falling around me,
will there ever be,
will there ever be
an end to this torrential misery?
Falling from the sky,
falling from my heart,
is the storm to blame?
Is it just a part?
If I were to drown,
gone before I start,
would it even matter to this
sky that holds
our very world in shadow?
I don’t know
and over the wind I can’t hear!
If I could have known,
if I could have seen,
brilliant blue skies
right in front of me!
I can only dream,
still I only dream
of the world the sky has taken
from me!
Tell me why!
I would die
just to be free of this sky!
Yet still I watch it raining,
still I sit in silence,
and I think to myself,
I could drown.
Watching it flow by,
far as I can see,
if I were to die,
make no more of me,
maybe then I’d be,
maybe then i’d be
truly and totally free?
Say that I’m a fool,
I know that it’s true.
Living in this rain
what else can I do?
Pouring from my eyes,
it’s inside me too.
Maybe this is how I'm meant to
be.
Aaahhh-!
This is my type of music!!!!
I like it a lot!
Wooow that's beautiful 🥺 well done! It's a sad song but it gives off a sweet sadness ❤️
Thank you so much! I tried to get as much emotion out of Eleanor as I could, I'm still learning but I'm glad it came across!
nunca lo llegue a decir pero esta fue una de esas canciones que me marcaron, el año pasado no hubiera sido lo mismo sin The Unending Storm
completamente hermosa canción, del as mejores que e escuchado nunca
Absolutely adore the piano and all the subtlety in this. Great work! ^^
Thank you!! I tried my best to sort of work the feeling of sitting quietly in a slowly building thunderstorm into the instrumental. I'm glad to know that it came across well!
I really like that. Thank you.
Nice song! It deserves more views! ^_^
One of the most masterful uses of Eleanor I've ever listened to, her voice is oozing emotion
Not gonna lie, I am 1 minute in and Im already here writing to say I have a genuine tear in my eye.
You tuned her really well.. and the rest of the songs dynamics connect really well with whats going on with her voice.
Yes yes yes the dynamics are fucking amazing
The tear has fallen
Theoretically, the person in this would have to be of reincarnated but with memories only being as dreams kind of origin, because they literally couldn't know that the sky is blue behind the cloud cover.
Also they recognise the storm as having taken the sky away from them, which they'd have no reason to think if it had always been raining.
Did you make the piano background using SynthV as well? I'm in awe of this song, I'm really curious about this DND campaign now
Ah, no, the instrumental was made in GarageBand! I've since upgraded to Logic Pro- SynthV is only the vocals! But thank you! The campaign has been on a bit of a hold lately, but I'm hoping to be able to explore the land of Miza and world of Lufte more soon- Although, I should hopefully be releasing another song set in this world (though not within the storm) in the next month or two!
Its saddening how your creations are just overshadowed with other's people's creations...
At least you are doing actually great and I love it!
Have a nice day and don't give up doing these songs, they are great!
(I noticed it's a lyrical version of your own song, and that's even cooler!)
Cool
First off this is amazing, it genuinely pulled from my chest a deep and moving sadness. I felt the internal conflict of wanting to be happy and yet the external condition stopping that from being possible, or at least easily possible. I love this song. You did great! I felt so much emotion for a singing software. Secondly, how do you make this song, what's your method of creation and tools to make such a great song? Thank you for the music, have a great day hopefully filled with sun instead of storms lol.
Oh, thank you! Goodness, this song is a bit old at this point, and I’ve admittedly changed what I use to make music- The instrumental for this song was made in GarageBand, and the vocals were made in SynthesizerV R1, the old version of SynthV. I’ve since upgraded to Logic Pro X as my primary music production software (and occasionally FL Studio), and upgraded to SynthesizerV Studio Pro for my more recent work!
@@CompanionJams Thank you so much for the reply and helping me out too. Even if the music is a little older it's amazing! Thank you so much! I hope your channel grows feverously!
This is great. Autotune gets a bit too excessive around 2:10 - 2:35, strikes me very odd and out of place.
I actually didn't use any extra autotune outside of base SynthV in this piece! I added growl effects on the high notes to get Eleanor to scream a bit more, but otherwise that's just the program and how she sings! I'm still new to the software, so I'll keep that in mind when tuning her for future pieces though! c:
@@CompanionJams I wasn't familair with SynthV at all! Did some research afterwards, so, about that criticism, I guess it comes down to taste in the end.
The song is really nice, I'd say spectacularly, even. Found your video on reddit, would love if you posted anything about the campaign there. Seems very interesting
Well, the campaign is still barely off the ground, but the players HAVE been rescued/abducted by sky pirates who intervened when a giant storm elemental was about ready to wipe them out, so! That's fun. I'd probably write up a proper summary of the setting if I wasn't worried that wouldn't be valid to post on the DnD subreddit. Ah, well!
Can you post the lyrics in the description, please? :)
Adding them now!
Dude, do you have a Spotify?
Not yet, but eventually I'm hoping to get that set up!
@@CompanionJams great, because I love your music and I also love Spotify. Tbh your my favorite producer:)
