Video still loading in HD for some reason lol, tks UA-cam. Links to all art in the description.
Slight editing goof on the last one, looks like forgot to change the text layer for Jan as Denis's name continues through
Ello eck what would you say is a possibility of these art works getting plagiarised?
An idea that might work with that AT-AT transporter is that the picture takes place on a periphery world whose Imperial forces have been forgotten by the collapsing Empire, so alone and without backup they've been forced to make do with that the available infrastructure of that worlds native people to fend off the pirates moving through that area of space under the "Rebellions" banner.
The transporter seen in the image was originally a heavy ore carrier that has since been repurposed to carry AT-AT's (in atmosphere only!) along with other vehicles&troops in modified cargo pods from landmass to landmass to strike against any pirates and slavers seeking a foothold on that world.
hey Eck i wanted to know what you thought of Jake Bartok?
for the future, in most Slavic languages sz is pronounced sh
I never understood why they used the same ships of the OT in the sequel trilogy, it would be fantastic to see completly new ships like in the prequels
At least we got some, like the resistance bomber. It gets a lot of flak but I think it’s really cool. More new ones could have been really cool though.
@@themanwhowouldbebrick Wait till someone asks you how bombs can have gravity in space...lol that has gotten so old for me
The Resurgence class star destroyer was pretty epic though
the reason is because most average moviegoers recognize and have nostalgia for x wings and tie fighters, and disney knew they would be able to capitalize on that rather than take a risk on designing new ships. jj abrams was lazy and creatively bankrupt.
@@themanwhowouldbebrick I feel like the design would work best for a capital ship and not a fighter.
"Of course, every single piece of art that I discuss in today's video will be ripped off by Disney without giving credit to artists themselves."
I was thinking the exact same thing, how long to Disney claims them.
There's one of Greedo/someone of his species riding a hoverbike made of a podracer engine, which is exactly what Timothy Oliphant's character in the Mandalorian used. And the artist is still a freelancer who did not get hired.
"Build me a second Deathstar...but build a Stardestroyer around it"
"A Stardes....?"
"YES ! A BIG STARDESTROYER"
"As you wish, Mylord"
😁
I hope someone adds that in empire at war.
@@cameronprice4922 was already done in legends with the eclipse and the conqueror which was LITERALLY a star destroyer with a mini Death Star laser dish
This is warhammer levels of crazy
@@xaviercaldero8631 just your standart Astartes Battle Barge
@@codename1176 No I meant that thing. I already know that the eclipse is in it. They did other fanon ships too, as in mods.
I know the focus of 5:55 is the Vertical Star Destroyers but those TIE Fighters look amazing!
I really liked Krystof's take on the Tie-fighter, it looks like a square at first until you take a second look.
I agree it didn't make sense to use the same ships
I really like his vertical Star Destroyer type ships. To me, it really looks like something the Chiss might use.
I would love to see more art like this! That one about the rebel soldiers actually killing Vader has me very curious of what it would look like! Who was the artist for that?
Morgon Yon, I meant to include the last two references in the video.
@@EckhartsLadder Awesome, thank you!
LOVE that D-Wing.
Denis Loebner's vertical ship has Homeworld vibes. Quite nice.
^
Anytime you wanna talk about concept art, I'll be here for it
I cant imagine the look when luke doesnt get any future encounters with vader and gets told he just got offed by some guy with a helmet
I can only see the vertical star destroyer as a shield ship for military planets or large fleets. Have them lock together as a wall with ships working as the attackers
I always thought the Jade's Shadow would be an incredible addition to the Star Wars franchise if it got a live-action adaptation.
It's different but fits in so well, as at it's core it's almost what if Naboo made a Millennium Falcon.
Roberto Robert is my personal favorite!
I’m deciding to add the D-wing to my New Republic fleet in the reimagining of the sequel trilogy. All acknowledgements will go to the artist, of course.
The D wings look like B wings with a lower cockpit, maybe it is a more advanced version of the B wing?
They look like one of the B-Wing predecessors. The H-60 Tempest, but given that extra wing.
Last art showcased has the wrong label to it. It still reads "Denis Loebner" instead of "Jan Rozanski". Also, the audio jumps a bit at 8:09.
The ships at 2:46 remind me a lot Aurora-class battleship in Stargate Atlantis.
Would love to see some of these animated especially the vertical star destroyer
5:32 That totally does look like something that'd come outta the Unknown Regions after gaining technology from the Death-Star Debris. The Beings Construction portraying what They thought to be the "Whole" Original Object.
5:53 That thing would be a HUGE target for everything that fights that thing
I can't really believe that these weren't stolen by now
Soon
Aaannndddd it's stolen.
I give it 3 days, tops. : )
How does one use art in a story and not claim the art itself? I’m genuinely curious.
There's one not in the video of Greedo using a podracer engine as a hoverbike, a concept that was used in the Mandalorian, and is by an artist who was not hired by Disney.
Enjoyed the vid, thanks Eck. For the vertical star destroyer my main comment on "why not" would be the structural stress you'd place on the frame as a bending moment when under thrust from those central engines instead of having most of the mass creating a compression column. Star Wars doesn't typically concern itself with following any sort of good structural design as a hard rule but that would the major drawback I think, even for Star Wars magic materials and systems.
Don't forget the stairs and elevators litterally everywhere
Probably some of the best Star Wars fan art i've seen. These people have a serious amount of talent. Great work people!
I sure do hope that you'll do more videos about the different and unique artworks in the star wars community. And as a small artist myself, I really like seeing other artists share their love and appreciation for star wars.
The back ends of the ships at 2:22 look like the emitters of the Halo Spartan Laser. Maybe that's where the artist got their reference or idea for them? Really cool designs
I like Krzystof's TIE-oids in the image with the two vert-SDs from the front.
I love that Star destroyer carrier and AT-AT carrier. Now I’ve come up with my own design for a Star destroyer carrier.
Those vertical star destroyers would make ridiculous ships, as they present a huge target. Spacedock has talked about this sort of design flaw.
It does look very Rakatan though, doesn't it
I love ship concept art, especially knowing that most will likely be made canon eventually
without crediting the artist of course
Yes please, more ship stuff, more concept art.
Those vertical star destroyers are hands-down one of the best fan art designs I have ever seen.
The end of your videos with your dog always makes me smile. Thank you.
3:50 Looks a lot like a super beefy GAT-12 Skipray Blastboat, sans rotating rear wings.
5:40 I love those TIE Fighters
3:50
It gives me the feeling of a System Patrol Ship more than a warship
even after seeing the battle of the dreadnoughts over fifty times, it still looks so good and is so entertaining!
1:42 i like to imagine it has windows in that little cut away section so the crew can see the laser
Great video Eck! Would love to see your commentary on more Star Wars art!!!! Thanks! And more versus!!!!
This kind of videos is the stuff I originally subscribed to! Amazing!!
Wow. Those are some cool looking ships and concepts. The vertical star destroyer nails the balance between alien-ness and staying faithful to Imperial design aesthetics.
The transport with the two AT-ATs is using what is known as a ducted prop, a technology not used that much in the real world, but was used heavily in James Cameron's Avatar for the gunships. I think that drop ship looks damn cool with the two AT-ATs slung underneath
It's got blades. That's NOT Star Wars.
Honestly modern sci fi ships don’t make sense in Star Wars as everyone and their mother could get a ship with money. So date war ships are all about robust ness first
Your intro is incredibly nostalgic to me. I used to watch you after school consistently for a few years and the song you used in it just reminds me of those times :)
These we're REALLY cool to look at!!
This was great! Thank you!
Please show more concept art, I think would be a great way to shine a light on unique designs and artists so they can get even more recognition
You should definitely do another one of these videos. Was cool to see all those ship ideas.
The Deathstardestroyer was the WTF moment of this week.
Fan art is often really awesome.
Yes more Star Wars art Please & Thank You!

Would love to hear/see your review of more of these fantastic works
Wait a second here, the Imp Star Destroyer carrier has potentially 24 slots for Star Destroyers. It also looks like the carrier could use the SDs as propulsion. Just on the ships, it looks like you can house 720,000 people. That's not even including the number of people in the carrier itself. That's basically a moving space station. that can has more people than some states in the US.
Would be awesome to see more concept art man this is some really cool stuff to see
I love those 'flat' ISDs, if you take off the engines they look like they'd make cool and ominous space stations.
My mental health would be worse without my love for concept art and art itself.
That one in the thumbnail on the left looks SO cool
Some damn good looking artwork like honestly every damn one of those were amazing
Wauw these are beautiful
VERY INTERESTED IN SEEING MORE!!!
These are very cool
The AT hauler concepts made me think of a Battlefront game mode similar to the Operations game mode in the battlefield series. Top is the first game where it's a starfighter Assault style game and depending on how well your team does you get an advantage/disadvantage in the next round where the second concept comes in.
I'm really digging the bespin dreadnought
Hoping Visions contains some stunning art like what we see here!
I really like many of these concept images and would love to see some of these brought to the big screen in some form.
The Empire is so massive and militarised. What did they create? So many ships we didn't see, weird and secret projects. This is one thing that I love to think about, I can't do this with HP or LOTR. Yes! Please talk about the others, maybe interview some of the artists, hear their thought/drawing process.
Love the art, great inspiration for space enginners haha
@6:00 I sure hope that hull plating is strong, because that's such a huge target ever Gunner's Mate First Class Asshole could hit it.
So amazing. Bravo to the artists this art is absolutely stunning and just brings out what is so awesome about Star Wars when genuine creativity is put into it. Maybe one day stuff like this can be brought to life in a way us life long fans truly need after these dark years of the Emperor mouse running the show.
Thea are really cool!
Those vertical star destroyers are breathtaking.
6:16 imagine how much fire power the surface canons would have on that thing if focussed on a single ship.
I would have been fine with ships like the Nebula, Endurance, Mediator, and other new class ships. Just an opinion, as I like the new class modernization program in legends.
Instead the sequels went with nostalgia baiting the OT instead. To be fair, it's not a bad idea from a marketing standpoint.
Disney didn’t understand why people hated the prequels. The art direction, costumes and music were praised. Everyone just hated the writing and acting/direction.
People fucking love the ships, planets, and creatures of the prequels.
Nice art.
Very cool 😎
Lmao Loebner's sideways ISD carrier looks just like a sideways arsenal bird and I cannot unsee it.
*(873)*
*Faction versus battle:* "The Forerunners vs the Imperium of Man."
the vertical destroyer looks like the empire trying out some rakatan designs. very nice
2:59 reminds me of the Twilight (that ship Anakin stole in the TCW film)
They are cool dude
so nice
My favorite ship concept it's probably the proclamator ship
8:03 looks like the front bit of an EVE Online Hurricane. the middle / back bit, minus the silar fins, looks similar to the Ghost.
the previous one is also nearly a copy of an Eve capital ship
That "Vertical Star Destroyer" reminds me of the Rakatta
7:40 if you look
closely its carrying star destroyers on it
cries in the video as of now being 360 p
I think those Halo-esque ships were cool... and also look kinda like blaster rifles that just need grips on them
*The Death Star Destroyer!!*
To me, fan designs made for the sequels were always much more better for me than the final/official designs we got in the sequels.
The sequel designs were hot trash, and the ships were just rip offs.
@@Darth_Xionn Ikr
moar, Moar, MOAR! MOARRRRRR!!!
5:48 'Why wouldn't you want a vertical star destroyer'
Just imagine the torques at the top and bottom of the ship when it accelerates. That ship looks like it would tear itself in half. Those TIE fighters are awesome though.
Pronunciation:
4:15 Shtaba.
5:41 Kshyshtof Biel *e* nin
The fans are light years beyond anything Disney does on this front.
Wow these concepts are really cool!
You should definitely go over more epic fan art
The last ship kind of reminds me of the Pelta Frigate used in TCW but with the front half of a Hurricane-Class Battlecruiser.
I really wished they employed Ansel Hsiao to design for them.
Those Vertical Star Destroyers make me think; what would happen if Kuat Drive Yards were acquired by the Chigs from Space: Above and Beyond.
I will never not be amazed at the ability of Star Wars fans
The one @2:22 trait up looks like halo with the ships, the soldiers, and those spires or pillions in the background.
5:25 I absolutely adore this shot. What ship concepts. We rarely see vertical ships in sci fi so when i do see them im usually blown away. The hex fighters are slick as FU&^ and yea I would say. If this were cannon id put it in the outer rim and have them be some break away human civ. Thats what they look like to me.
Wow
