- Join me as I tour a different garden and talk with a special guest about all things plant-based and delicious. It was so amazing to visit this garden, and catch up with one of my favourite fellow foodies who happens to also be based in Wales. We had such a fun day filming for both of our channels, and I'm excited to share the 'inspiring gardens' video of Gaz's garden in Winter.

Thanks so much for having me on the show mate 🏴👨🌾
Great Collab both, I could listen to the two of you for ages!
My pleasure! Thanks for the delicious food that I have to keep a secret!!😍
@Gaz only a small garden you say 😀it looks great!
Wanted to see the pizza 🍕
Subscribed, might get more ideas on what to cook for me.
It's so good having two inspirations collaborating like this! I've been watching you, Gaz, and Charles Dowding for years now and all of a sudden you're all appearing on each others' channels! Amazing!
Same ❤
I could listen to these guys talk about gardening all day.
Lovely to see Huw, Gaz and Charles collab-ing this week. All such inspiring figures. #eatwhatyougrow ❤
The two of you together is a home gardener's dream come true! Thank you!
Yaaay, a collab of Huw and Gaz! How awesome! 😃
Love this collab! That is what you call an actual kitchen garden! You can grow and cook all in the same area, the dream!
Yes a Gaz and Huw collab! :) love these vids
Thank you so much!
The perfect combination: A Chef that likes to Garden! 😀
Gaz and Huw 🤩 My Faves ❤️❤️❤️
Huw, thanks for taking us on a visit to see Gaz and his garden. Great collaboration between the two of you. The outdoor cooking space is a great addition to any garden no matter what form it comes in. When the garden comes full circle like that it adds a layer of flavor and satisfaction that can't be compared to even your favorite restaurant.
I love Gaz's outdoor cooking space! Definitely love the idea of just cooking in the garden. Perfect combination 😃
Amazing to see two such inspirational young men chatting about gardening and cooking.
Thankyou both ❤
That was some beautiful, beautiful garden philosophy!
Thank you so much for this collaboration, it was the best! ❤️ You two are such amazing, inspiring humans!
Cheers
What a lovely person! This was such a treat to watch
Loving the collab videos. I have always wished more UA-cam gardeners would let us follow them into the kitchen to see how they use their produce. There is only so much watery roast courgette that a girl can eat Not to mention beetroot & kale.
Wow...these two in one in a video
Such a charming video and a gorgeous garden. I would love to have that outdoor kitchen. How amazing.
I’m growing Chard in Georgia, USA in a large terra cotta container, it looks just like yours.❤ it is beautiful with the stem of yellow .
Listening to you two, you sound like brothers. Lovely comeraderie
Some people are content with a kitchen window, but WOW! What a view!! I would have to say that is a "Dream Kitchen"!
Dream collab of 2 of my favourite Welsh gardener's. Diolch yn fawr 😊
Wow, Gaz is hitting the best gardeners..
Beautiful
Another great story heard.
Cheers to healthy living.
Go Gaz!!! Go Vegan!!! So great to see you together. Absolutely wonderful garden Gaz. What was it that was rich in omega-3?
Purslane🌱
So Happy to see the two of you (finally) get together on an episode, 'have been hoping for this for a long time. I've just watched Gaz's episode with Charles, and I know you and Charles have also worked together, maybe a Troika in the future of the three of you Lol, that may be asking too much.:) Great episode, All the Best from Canada.:)
That was lovely, and I like the final thoughts on gardening and cooking. It reminds me of the early @suburbanhomestead and I wish I had seen you eat!
Yes! Two ripper humans right here. 🇦🇺
Amazing! I love it.
I love my outdoor kitchen in my garden too! I try to prep as many meals there as possible... and yes, cooking there is very good for my mental health and equilibrium
Huw I like your Garden Dairies Series I like his Garden
Very inspiring.
Great combo to watch ❤️🇬🇧👍
Where's the pizza? 🤤
Another lovely garden tour. Wish it was a longer video. I could have watched it forever. Happy Growing 🌱
"Gardening as turned you into a competent cook"
Yes, it can do that. Because, once you harvest the produce, now you have to learn to cook from scratch!
10:20 i enjoy gardening and especially harvesting more than eating 😂
Great video. I love Swiss Chard-any type- green, yellow, red. Nive photos of the grains and flowers too. I just picked some beets and the green tops are similar to swiss chard and spinach. Can steam tops and roast the beets for best flavor. Then pickle the excess for winter eating. I have also frozen beets.
Would love to see both of you picking and then cooking in the garden.
We want to see the pizza 😁 Fantastic collaboration! Thanks guys.
Hello, I was wondering if it would be possible for you to create instructional videos on how to prepare certain dishes. For instance, it would be helpful to know when to sow various vegetables and when they are ready to be used in a recipe, such as chilli and parsnip soup unless you guys have a book out like that already?
I was hoping for a Big Laught . I remember it from the last video with the other guy ..
💙💙💙
I literally JUST returned from an eye exam wherein I was encouraged to increase my Omega 3. I wrote a note to self to research a plant-based option and... lo and behold! Thx, guys! #purslane
Mackerel are incredible for omega 3 too
@@HuwRichards Oh! A suggestion to pass on to my Mom fo sho. Thank you so much, Huw! 🌿
Cute.
Ah, Purslane!🙂
Hi Huw, lovely video as always. Could you share with me what video editing software you use please as the quality of your videos is outstanding🙂
thz thought provoking
I wish I could grow chard. Leaves die and wither every time
Cute couple
you can make about 1,25 kg of firm tofu, out of 1kg of dry soybeans btw...
What was the crop that provides omega 3?
Purslane🌱
What was the plant with the omega-3?
Purslane
@@yinnikkumaThanks! Shit, I have loads of that growing in my garden. I was going to pull it all out 😂 I'll have to try eating some.
If you're sensitive to "oxalic" don't go overboard. Start with a tiny bit.
I'd love to be anti-glove. Sadly, I have the world's most sensitive skin and eczema on finger joints is no joke 😢
Wood fire hot tub any day
How do you keep leaf miners off the Swiss chard?
I couldn't hear, what was the plant with lots of Omega 3 please.
Hey, thanks for the vid! I was wondering what the name of the plant is that you talk about at 2.24? The one with a lot of omega-3. English is not my first language and I couldn't manage to hear it.
Purslane🌱
Which plant has more omega 3 than fish, as a vegan nutritionist and gardener I would love to recommend it, but so far I have not heard of any... pls tell me
Someone further in the comments said it's purslane.
I believe he said it's purslane. Grown as ground cover and food.
It does contain oxalic acid, so go carefully.
I did some research. yes, purslane conains a high level of omega 3's for a green leafy veg., but you would need to eat ~280g to get your daily dose. The high amout of oxalic acid, will be not good for you if you eat even more than ~ 50g.... it is NOT a reliable source of Omega 3's.... yes it is a source of other nutrients but eat only in moderate amouts
Fellas, what was the plant with Omega-3?
Could u plz give the name of the plant u were discussing in the video that has more omega-3 than fish? I would love to grow in my garden.
Summer purslane - and there's a winter variety too that also contains omega 3 (so the Internet tells me!)
@@chrisgartenn that’s why I was asking. Bcoz in general seeds r best source for it for vegetarians. Anyhow I don’t believe in individual nutrients, I believe food works in combination and if eaten in proportions the way we eat culturally, then we gonna get its benefits.
@HuwRichards Hi Huw! Love your content. I'm trying to reach your online shop about books I bought, but they do not respond to my emails. Could you please help? Cheers /Cecilia
Looking into now! Might have got caught up when transferring items, thanks for letting me know :)
What is it that has all the omega 3? You mention it, but not the plant name.
I see it now. Purslane.
purslane IS delicious, but the omegas aren't as bioavailable to the human body as fish
I dont understand why people harvest greens with a knife, its so much more satisfying and efficient to tear them off and it leaves a cleaner and more tidy plant.
Because knives are cool. Unlike boring hands. What have hands ever done for us?
Can you please even out the difference in audio volume between talking and music? The music is SO loud if I want to hear the speaking. Great video as always though!
Why Malabar?! 😂 Terrible gift. Spreads like crazy outside of a contained environment and tastes like slime!! Not terrible if you bread it and deep fry it like okra though… 💁🏽♀️
Huw was just trolling Gaz.
In Trinidad 🇹🇹 we call the amaranth... bhagi (ba-jee) @gazoakleychef
just found these 2 guys channels they have some great contents
