I wish I had the money to get the boots for my 25 year old Tb. gelding. He is trimmed every 6-7 weeks conditioner used + feed for stronger hooves help.
Great video, as you stress that when the boots are new they are a bit snug on your horse Boy. One of my boots is the same on one hoof. I was ready to re sell them, until I saw your video. Thank you. Love the fact that you have oldies too. I watched a different video, and they stress that if it's a little difficult to get on, it's too small. You have given me confidence that my boots will be a good fit, as all the other pointers are correct for my pony.
You said you took the gaiters off. What are the gaiters like? Are they the handhold tabs at the back (don’t see those) or something that comes up and wraps around the pastern?
Hi Kathryn, we recommend using the trail gaiters on an ongoing basis. However, some horses do not need the gaiters once the boots are worn in. Take it slowly and check to make sure your horse is comfortable without the gaiters. If they are, then it is ok to wear Scoots without them :)
Yes you can use Scoot Boots on all 4 feet! Most of the time they are only required on the front, however please send us photos of all 4 feet and we can advise if your horse needs them on the backs as well. You can send them to us at scootboots.com/pages/sizing-hoof-boots
Danke , sehr schön gezeigt !

it would be helpful to show a poor fit, to see the difference. A size smaller, and a size bigger to be able to see what is not proper.

I'm glad the videos are helpful for you and you have more confidence in knowing you have the correct fit. Thanks for the feedback Gillian!
Thank you very much for the video. Why was the pony's worn boot toe gap smaller than the new boot?
Goode question. The reason is, as the Scoot is broken in, they slightly stretch. This intern will in turn bring the front together a touch more. :)
Die Hufe sind relativ frisch ausgeschnitten, sollte man eine Größe höher nehmen oder weiten sie sich sowieso?

The Scoot Boot Trail Gaiters come in the Scoot Boot pack. Here is a video explaining how and why they are used ua-cam.com/video/pCyI0f2zfB8/v-deo.html
I have read on the TryScootBoots website that gaiters are only till your horse gets used to the boots and then you stop using them. What's correct?
