+TheFashiongirl23 because it will take more time to set his drum since his drum set is actually consists of more parts, while to perform in this kind of music performance they don't have enough time to prepare --also the reason why they are hand-sync in music performance, they mentioned it a few times on their interview about this
+TheFashiongirl23 hand sync is when the band act like they're playing their instruments but actually the instruments are not connected with the amplifier and other stuff like speakers etc..

KINGS OF ROCK
This is not a negative thing, but FTISLAND should be really be performing on a completely different type of platform to a different audience. I don't really want to see rock music butchered on a mainstream stage in Korea like it is here in the west because a lot of the time the music becomes worthless and it's all about the celebrity of the band than what they're playing. FTISLAND are free to do what they want, but if they insist on writing their own songs and identifying as a rock band, they need to cut all ties from the kpop culture.
They composed their song by themselves. It's really hard to see them performing in tv shows. So I don't know what to say but I feel happy to see them in tv shows like other fans.
As a big fan of FT Island and k-rock in general I can say that is a good thing if they perform at music cores or similar programes because this is how they get more popular. This is the only way they can show their new stuff and to make people get into them. And their company puts them on the same stage as kpop artists, even though they are k-rock artists, for this, to promote their music and to help them to increase their popularity, this way making money and from those money FT Island to be capable to have another comebacks. Because they have concerts and things like that, but they can't perform to different platforms because this is the most seen in Korea. It would be such a pity not to promote such an amazing band and in my opinion is good to have a diverse music at this kind of programes, this is how you open people's minds and make known a kind of underrated type of music.
Diana Pups I understand where you're coming from, but being a musician isn't about getting more popular. Music will always reach the right ears eventually, regardless of a platform to showcase it. Alas, it's an unfortunate thing that we live in a world where artists have to sell their talent in order to live and continue to create their art, but what can I say, we live in a capitalistic society, so regardless FTISALND and other musicians are screwed from the get go, so there's no real point in me complaining anymore.
I never really thought about this, but you made a point. I guess if they perform in music shows it will help with popularity and sales, because obviously their label is more fixated on that. I think they could go like Hyukoh's route, more underground yet very well known because of great music, but since they've always been on this platform, I feel like it doesn't matter where they perform, as long as they still make music they'll survive.
They said once they wanted to perform in a rock event or else, but they were just waiting their moment. Some musicians outside popular genres still see them as idol since their background for years, so I think it's just a matter of time hopefully..
Anyway, I dont see it's just about FT Island who needs music show to sell music, but also about the music shows itself that needs FT Island (and other band) to light up the stage other than many dance groups and soloist.
