I'd venture to say she shares that title with Marta Gabriel of Crystal Viper. I salute any female power metal singer who wants to sound more like Dio than Tarja.
This is what happens when Iron Maiden, Helloween, and Judas Priest have a love child, only the singer is a female version of Rob Halford. And by god it's beautiful.
Wish they'd make music videos for this entire album, I'd settle for animated. Story of an immortal warrior under service of The Matriarch. Ten Thousand Against One would be especially appetizing to watch.

I have no idea what people are talking about when they say the cleanse the bloodlines isn't upbeat enough. It doesn't need to be. That not the point of the song. Cleanse the blood lines is epic, grand, and a little bit sad. That the point of the song and it's amazing. The Matriarch is about an insanely powerful ruler and so the song is full of power, energy, and intensity. You all are doing amazing. Don't listen to these people talking shit on cleanse the bloodlines. If you follow their advice you'll end up like every other power metal band that fell into the trap of making all of their songs sound the same. TBH I wouldn't classify y'all as strictly power metal. If anything y'all are a combo of death metal and power metal. I can hear a lot of influences from a lot of different genres. Like CCN said a while back the future of metal is fusion metal and I think UTA and Æther Realm are a perfect example of that. I can't wait for my preorder to come in. Love y'all. Keep up the great work.
I very rarely listen to power metal apart from the odd ensiferum song. Too often the instrumentals as well as the whole structure of the song falls into cringe worthy cliches in this genre. I mostly listen to death/groove/prog and variations within that, and if you told me about this awesome band from canada with a female vocalist I'd give you an arrogant smirk. However throughout this whole album the guitarists & drummer are playing their brains out and the vocals (apart from the growls imo) work so well over it.
I know everyone usually listens to Awakening or Tonight We Ride as their "intro to UtA" but this one is my personal favorite, and honestly the one I'd recommend to anyone just getting into the band.

+Guzwar Yeah mate. You know what is good :) Daniel and Brittney are my favorite singers! Also Brittney said in one interview that Daniel is some kind of idol to her, because of his power when he sings. Since then I like her even more :)

This song has me hyped for this album to the tenth degree!! I wasn't completely sold by "Cleanse the Bloodlines," it's still a great song but it lacked the upbeat energy that the Time Stands Still Album had, but thankfully this song has it in spades! READY THE ARCHERS!!!! LONG LIVE METAL!!! FOLLOW ME TO APEX HYPE!!!
There is a time when a band hits that perfect point in their trajectory where they still have the passion and raw energy of youth and are also building maturity in their craft... and this is the result. Tremendous album.
I'm from Alberta Canada so happy that we have this caliber of Metal music in Canada I love this band I really hope you guys will come and play in Alberta sometime I would love to see them live keep rocking you are awesome 😊
Awesome stuff! UTA are trying out something a bit different than the kind of stuff they were doing before with this song, playing more towards the style of mainstream Power Metal by making up a powerful riff and repeating it throughout the whole song. It's really cool that they have at least one song like this in the album and it really works to hype the crowd up in a show, but it's also good that they keep doing their own thing with their slower and more epic songs like "Cleanse The Bloodlines". I still haven't heard something that's both upbeat and unique to the style of UTA from the Apex previews we've been getting. A good example of what I'm talking about is "Tonight We Ride" from the "Time Stands Still" album or "Realm Of Tomorrow" from the "Demons of the Astrowaste" album. I do hope that there will be plenty of surprises when I do get the album on my hands.
Oh the gods of power and heavy metal are once again turning their smiles to Unleash the Archers! Hitting hard and proud, their newest album "Apex" is doing nothing but releasing a torrent of amazing hype. I was already dead set upon hearing "Cleanse the Bloodlines"and I absolutely can't wait for the rest of the album. The Matriarch works for so many ways, from the badass rhythm guitar build up and iconic U.T.A. style in your face vocals, to the way the lyrics really set a great foreshadowing and stage for this evil character within the story. (Honestly, just how the way the lines are spoken in a perspective of some another foretelling you of how dangerous the "Matriarch" is simply cool shit). Keep it up guys! Definitely pre-ordering this work without a doubt.
It's a good song, but to me its not a GOOD song. It just doesn't have that emotion and heaviness that come with GOOD metal songs like Metallica's for whom the bell tolls, Dio's Holy Diver, or Candlemas's Demons Gate . Now grant it I'm comparing this band to three legendary legendary bands, but they are great examples of Emotion and Heaviness in a perfect symbiotic relationship. Also all three of those bands have their own unique style Unleash the Archers has very little new and unique in terms of music. They have above average instrument players, generic lyrics. The Lyric's almost seem to be generated by SteveTerreBerry's lyric generator. In conclusion this band has a lot further to go before I start adding them to my play list.
Well to be absolutely fair as a composer and musician , I'm not critiquing it in the aspect of classic heavy metal to current power metal (genre difference and production differences). Dio and such were and still are fan-fucking-tastic in their respective genre and times. And to be absolutely blunt, there are TONS of current bands on absolutely different levels from the classics. Not just on vocal styles, but compositonally, emotionally, and technically. Those big 3 were of Heavy Metal from the 70s to 90s in their primes. But there's FAAAAAAAR more out there, ranging from genres not just at the basics of "heavy metal". U.T.A. are within a mixture of Speed Metal, Power Metal, and Heavy Metal. And take great aspects from each genre respectively. Personally, some of the best stuff I've listened to ranges in the Melodic Death Metal and Progressive Metal department, not saying I can't enjoy myself a few good brutal slams or heavenly neoclassical power metal riffs. Every band is unique, and does their own dances. So congratulations to U.T.A. for reaching past their previous marks. Since music isn't about who's simply better or *ahem* who makes it on your holy playlist. It's about how well a band or musician can progress in the world, and if they love what they're doing. Being a revolutionary band doesn't automatically make your band the best ever. And using that as a means of "this band isn't this other band" doesn't work for critique my dude. In conclusion, this band is doing just fine. if you wanna listen to Dio, listen to Dio. And understand that preference and nostalgia doesn't define genre and technicality. I recommend listening to some new things my friend. Like what you like, but there's so much more to try out. Maybe try Yngwie Malmsteen for your tastes, or something like these to expand your world a bit: (Power Metal/Symphonic Metal) Helloween - Keeper of the Seven Keys Ryu 5150 - Beyond the Shine Civil War - Last Full Measure Light Bringer - Scenes of Infinity (album) Dragonland - Starfall Iron Attack - Perpetual Nightmare (Progressive Metal) Vektor - Collapse [Progressive/Technical Thrash metal masters] Demetori - View of the River Styx [These guys only know how to write masterpieces] Unexpect - Words [Avant-Garde] Persefone - Aathma (album) (Melodic Death Metal) Mors Principium Est - Death Is The Beginning Thousand Leaves - Flames of Sorrow Whispered - Upon My Honor Kissing the Mirror - Words Left Untold Bloodshot Dawn - Smoke and Mirrors These are just a few to list off. Ultimately, no matter what, keep on listening my dude. You might find some other things to meet for your playlist from this list, who knows?
Kuro Blood I'm am going to leave it at this point there is no insetive for me to listen to this band compared to many new metal band such as Avenged 7 fold, Ghost, Tyr, Rasskagan, and many others I can't think off the top of my head. There is nothing unique about them.
I think it's just what you get out of the music, I'd way rather listen to this than anything by any of the bands you mentioned, I think the lyrics are really awesome and that riff is gonna be in my head for days. Also about them having their own style, I can kind of see what you mean, but I've listened to all their albums and I do think they have a very definite style of their own, it just might not be obvious on a first listen.
Ok, won't lie, I haven't listened to anything by this band yet because I thought the name 'Unleash The Archers' was dumb. That is irrelevant. This is fucking awesome. Napalm Records knows what the fuck is up. Carry on.
Saw a thumbnail for another vid of this band. On a whim, watched it. That was 4 videos ago. I'm now ordering this Album and will go see them the next time they are within a 200 mile radius of me. Can't believe I'm just now finding this band! It's like a beautiful mix of most things I love about metal. THIS is why it's okay to post your label's bands' songs on UA-cam (suck it, SME). The exposure leads to fans, who buy shit. ROCK ON! \m/
A great capture of the '79-82 style of metal here. I'm not much of a 'power metal' guy anymore, but i love this band; bc they do it so very, very well.
Cleanse the Bloodline was a nice throwback to the sound on the first 2 albums. This one has that traditional vibe going on like Time Stands Still. Really looking forward to hearing the rest.
Amazing vocals and instrumentals. I listened to two other songs before this. As this is my third, i can pass judgement. This is an amazing band and highly underated. They easily found their way into my buy list.
Shit your music is up lifting & inspiring . Fuck motivational speaches . I just need to listen to you guys & im ready for any thing i just had a double shot flat white at home combined with your music im pumping sydney australia 🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘 12/11/2023❤❤❤❤❤
Ridiculously good song, I love this. This is Demons of the Astrowaste cranked up to superb level, lyrics fleshed out, sound better harmonized and organized.
Everytime I hear this song I can't help but imagine a music video set in a Lord of The Rings esque fantasy world. Where the races of men' elves'and dwarves are fighting against this womans legion of demonic creatures while a volcano explodes in the background and a reddish sky glows.

A great capture of the '79-82 style of metal here. I'm not much of a 'power metal' guy anymore, but i love this band; bc they do it so very, very well.
Perfect! Just in time for Mother's Day! For my 'mom' anyway! Rock on Archers, you are definitely & happily Unleashed!
I love artwork, cover, music and vocals. The beggining of songs already made me want to listen to whole record!
the cover art is so beautiful! Love how you made it 3d for this. Great song!
her vocals are effortless..
One of my favourite bands! 🤟🏻
Dear Lord that voice is just so powerful. I love it!
Cleanse the Bloodline was a nice throwback to the sound on the first 2 albums. This one has that traditional vibe going on like Time Stands Still. Really looking forward to hearing the rest.
Best metal band in YEARS. I haven't bought a metal album in probably 10 or more years. Until now - UTA IS AWESOME!!!
Digging the tune. Fun stuff.
I love unleash the archers so much❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Well this is becoming my new background music for battle times in DnD, dang.. cant believe I've never heard these guys before now!!!
Unleash The Archers,of many of your masterpieces, this one is best by far.

Man, that's a killer right there! Loving these guys more and more.
This song is what I imagine comes after A7X's "Strength of the World" and "Coming Home."
Love the Maiden vibes on this one!
My wall has a new head-sized hole in it.

The best Song after " Tonight we Ride " so far, awesome, love it!!!!!
Amazing vocals and instrumentals. I listened to two other songs before this. As this is my third, i can pass judgement. This is an amazing band and highly underated. They easily found their way into my buy list.
Best song on the album, imo
I agree!
My fav for ever and ever
UTA and Sabaton lead the way in power metal.

Awesome new album. Hope I can see you in Spain someday. Come to Leyendas del Rock festival next year!!
Que musica foda!!! Esse CD tem potencial pra ser o melhor da banda!!
This sounds like a good song to listen to while playing an epic video game and lyrics are very Power Metal esque.
Oh this is definitely going to be stuck in my head for days. Good job UTA!!!!!
The Vocalist Brittney... Slayes this song
The yell in the beginning sound a bit like this: "Meaaaaaaaaaow!"

This was a total surprise and I am so happy!
Conceptually, this song reminds me of Castratikron by Dethklok. I love it.
This is awesome ! I really liked Cleanse the Bloodlines but for me this is a lot better! Can't wait for rest of the album
You are the BEST!!!! QUÉ GRANDES SOIS CHICOS!!!!!!! ME FASCINAIS! LOVE YOU!!! From Spain: WISH YOU THE BEST!!!!!
Ridiculously good song, I love this. This is Demons of the Astrowaste cranked up to superb level, lyrics fleshed out, sound better harmonized and organized.
I can't wait to use the story of Apex for a badass D&D campaign
Vai me desculpar Hammerfall mas essa é MELHOR BANDA DE POWER DA ATUALIDADE, o Time Stand Still ja foi matador, esse Apex promete!!!!
perfect this voice , this instrumental .
I can't wait for this album!
As usual...epic job
Everytime I hear this song I can't help but imagine a music video set in a Lord of The Rings esque fantasy world. Where the races of men' elves'and dwarves are fighting against this womans legion of demonic creatures while a volcano explodes in the background and a reddish sky glows.
