Lots of fun, Thanks for joining me. 👍
Always fun bashing with buddies 👍🏁
Kysho Please bring back the big brute!
Nice running video!! 👍
Awesome vid I’ve got the red rtr version but hopped it with the metal skid plates , Proline 1.9 Rockshooter wheels ( part number pro278105 ) , Proline 1.9 class 0 BFGoodrich Krawler T/A tires ( part number pro1017103 ) , Rc4wd King 100mm shocks ( rc4zd0031 ) , 50 wt Team Losi shock oil ( tlr4013 ) , Venom 6 cell nimh pack ( vnr1539hxt4 ) and a Killerbody cockpit set ( 48513 ) shoegooed to a scrap piece of lexan and velcroed to the sides and under hood area of the cab . I absolutely love it and it handles great . The tires really hook up ( almost too good I ease up the throttle a bit entering a turn ) . Again awesome job on the vid and I love Tanks paint scheme 👍🏻
Two of them painted bodies looks very good!
Great looking rigs, a bit crazy in the handling dept, lol. 👍🏻👍🏻👊🏻👊🏻
Take the foams out in the back and cut aprox 6mm of the outer diameter and reinstall them, it makes quite a difference in grip
as mentioned, the stock spur is molded bad and subject to early destruction. There's chatter on forums about it. The Losi and AE spurs are direct replacements. My outlaw is silent with the lost spur installed.>> Reference/info: 107
Thanks for the info for a better quality spur gear.
2s Brushed is really fun you should run them at your local skate park👍👍
Stinks about the breakage but it happens. I think that loud noise is the 48p gear. Gary from korh had the same noise
Too bad about the stripped gears, as this looks like a cool truck. Also I heard ppl have had better traction when they replace the stock tires
After watching several vids, I will install a Gyro when I build my kit.
It's definitely increases the fun factor on this chassis. You cannot hold power slides without it IMO.
i have a non pro rtr and it has the sam problem but i fixt it with some silicon glue on the edge of the slipper cap and som lithium grease on the gears.
hopfully you find is helpfull.
Love the outlaw rampage pro!! I just got to get one :) Great video!! but whats with the chevy grill? haha jk ;-)
and you schould also move the screw to the customizable mesh
i made the mistake of letting my brother drive my rampage with his friend and i got it back caked in sand. there is send everywhere in the gears and the car wont move any idea how to fix?
Top
It is a fun car to drive. But be careful whit the transmission when it can get sand in it and ruin the gears. Happend to mine. IF you want something fast you get a slash 2wd
Might be a dumb question, but what is the difference in performance between this and a SC truck? I have 50 acres of rocky/dirt/tall grass terrain, which type would you recommend for the best maneuverability and speed?
Short course trucks are way more capable and faster. Fully independent suspension and bigger size too. A 1/10 short course truck is actually 1/8 buggy size.
@@netcruzer thanks for the reply! Speed and range are my main focus. Any major difference between both for long range driving? And does the sc truck have capability to upgrade to a long range set up?
I just bought one .. so I can used lipo battery 2s on stock motor?
Yes, just check the ESC settings first to switch to lipo mode
I have a few of these and changing to a 32p gear made them almost silent. The stock spur is out of round
Good to know. Can you recommend a 32p spur that works with stock slipper pads or did you change those too?
@@netcruzer the stock slipper will work but I am using axial 56t and I already stuck the axial slipper on.
Axial AX31027
How long does the battery last?
Well that completely depends on the battery capacity you run. I think I had a big 7600mah 2S in this it would
Run for 30min+. You run into motor overheating before you run out of battery.
lemon rtr
@BEAR TRAX RC 🍋🤣😂😭
Wow it can't handle sand. What a treasure is that.
There’s a fix, just takes some work. If you improve the gearseals and add a gyro rx it’s a fun drive. Not great out of box for the RTR setup.
Fun factor is through the roof on that truck, you want better handling get a SCT or buggy with A-arms front and rear. As for that God awful gear noise, it screams not gapped properly into my ears, nothing chews your gears up faster than an improperly gapped spur gear.
See my video of fixing the gears. Definitely things to do to improve the way it was built at the factory.
$309cad for a truck that breaks the first run? No thanks I'll stick with my 13yo 1st gen slash that's all original except esc and motor. (Still rocking the FM radio too)
It happens. Sometimes people just unlucky. Rc's can break any outing. First or last.
