Did we like the more flowy edit for the mukbang part? No more “chomp” sfx??
Oh Yes, Irish Girl! It's almost like sharing the meal with you. I enjoyed it a lot. And i bet ED finds this trope less work.
The "chomp" sfx fits nicely with the upside down fork. And then seeing you eat the cake with the fork the right way has me confused.
I do like the more flow edit give Editor Diane a thumbs up. 👍I like the chomping sfx
I enjoyed it.
Thanks Diane! Yes, I did like the new format better, although there was nothing wrong with the original. (How is that for playing it safe?) 🤪
No avacados were harmed in the making of this video! That was spinach artichoke dip.
Right?!
*avocados
lol, I was totally thinking the same thing. I’m embarrassed to say how well I know their menu. 😝
@@badgodsit tbf spinach and artichoke dip is on the appetizer menu at practically every "American cuisine" restaurant in the country. So delicious. though.
@@acegh0st
Oooh, I just thought of something! Just started keto a couple weeks ago. Is spinach artichoke dip keto friendly?!? 😝🤤 I mean…probably like a million calories, still maybe? 🤣🤣
Diane went to Cheesecake Factory and was very well fed
She got a plate of pasta and chicken that was bigger than her head
Plus a giant bowl of artichoke dip and some tasty brown bread
And the chocolate cake was so big, she took half home to eat in bed
I sure did!!
is this chatGPT summarizing the video?
lol@@borisbalkan707
You're a poet and you didn't even know you were rhyming those words.
Worth noting that in the US appetizers are generally intended to be shared by the whole table.
Not a table for one though.
Actually 2-3 appetizers constitutes a dinner. Share? Maybe, but be careful...hungry Americans bite! lol :)
Yes! The food in Louisiana is THAT good - better than anything you can imagine.
🤤
It's a game changer Diane! The food in New Orleans will change your life or your money back!!! lol@@DianeJennings
She definitely needs the authentic cajun/creole experience. Easily the best Southern food in the US.
The food in Louisiana is amazing but make sure you make restaurant reservations about 2 weeks in advance if you do make the trip
Been to Louisiana a couple of times. Had a buddy who knew the city well take me to the back of market where they made sandwiches. Never would have known it was even there if he didn't tell me. They made us a couple of fried oyster Po'Boys wrapped in brown paper. Scarfed them down outside by the riverbank. Still one of the best things I have ever eaten in my life.
Every time she said avocado I was like that is Spinach Artichoke Dip
Diane, please don't feel the need to apologize. We love you just the way you are. 😊❤
185 year old Diane with a British accent is everything.
Uhh, 185 year old Diane, about 7 years ago they added another 56 pages to the menu...
Sorry about yur🍀luck, not😂❤
New Orleans has the best restaurants. When I lived in Houston, Tx., I would go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, Christmas, New Years, & 1 or 2 more times per year. My G.F. was born & raised in New Orleans. My favorite restaurant is Mr. B's Bistro on Royal St. in the French Quarter. I always order "Gumbo Ya Ya", a chicken & sausage gumbo with rice. And I drink my dessert, a "Brandy Milk Punch". It's made with the best vanilla ice cream & Brandy. Picture an excellent milk shake with a kick.
I read an article a few years ago about the first Cheesecake Factory in (I think) Hong Kong. The portion sizes were the same as any other Cheesecake Factory and the Chinese locals were losing their minds. The article talked to locals who starved themselves for two days before going to the Cheesecake Factory and then still took food home to eat later. It was kind of funny, actually.
I like how Cheesecake factory alot of pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, salads, soups, tacos, pastas, steaks, fries, quesdaillas, eggrolls, taquitos, wontons, eggs, omelettes, waffles, pancakes, ice cream, smoothies, flavored hot drinks & coffees so much variety of meals. A world of food on a menu.
Diane, I absolutely love a woman who isn't afraid to eat and enjoy every bite. :)
I'm totally gonna use "Stop the lights, turn down the clocks" from here on out. Love it!
ED, you did it again. You managed to make a coherent video that flowed smoothly.
Diane, doing great. Just read those lines and smile. ED will take care of the rest.
😍❣
Excellent!
I 'ave read this and imagined a fabulous impersonation of Charles Montgomery Burns. with fingers steepled
And here I didn't know that you did impersonations. Cool.
New Orleans, Louisiana is world class in terms of food. Probably the most important place in the US to travel to for food reasons
Louisiana has the best food in the whole country, I moved there for the food, music, architecture, and history!
This is how Diane achieved a 5 pound, or rather a “5 ⭐️ “ vacation
I’m like 95% sure she is mistaking spinach and artichoke dip for some kind of avocado dip!! Do they not have a lot of spinach and artichoke dip in Europe?!! If I’m wrong, then that is the leafiest avocado dip I’ve ever seen!! lol
You should have ordered Steak Diane.
I think that was spinach and cheese dip, not avocado dip. The dip you got also has artichokes in it. If you ever have a chance, you should try some guacamole, which is made from avocados.
Yes, you should definitely visit Louisiana. They have the best food in the country. It's also very culturally interesting.
That cake looked like chocolate with more chocolate and added chocolate. It's no wonder you liked it!
My favorite cheesecake is lemon, though I also like strawberry. I've even had savory cheesecake. Palace Cafe in New Orleans has a crabmeat cheesecake that's quite good.
You might be right! I wonder now… I actually asked for the balls, but they didn’t come, so… I think they got confused about me something different
Yes, definitely spinach artichoke dip.
That's what I was thinking! Spinach artichoke dip is delicious though.
I just started a new job in the last few weeks and this upload came a day after I was helping to make a food delivery to this Cheesecake Factory. Crazy how small the world is sometimes.
I loved everything about this. My dad helped build that building with the tilt, the John Hancock building. I am from Chicago and always love to see people enjoying it. And that artichoke dip at Cheesecake Factory looked amazing.
This is one of those times you need a travel buddy. You can double your sampling by sharing (you can split it up before any fork has hit any mouth)😁
Good tip!
Definitely visit New Orleans if you can. They have a huge St. Patrick's Day Parade. Plus, the food is pretty good. 😁
The last and only time I had a full piece of cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory, I woke up with a food hangover. That stuff is rich. Diane, you are a stronger man than me 🙃🤣
Chicago has been voted Best Big American City 7 years in a row by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine readers. Chicago is amazing! Hope you enjoyed our beautiful city!
I LOVED it!!!
@@DianeJennings Come to the state of MICHIGAN NEXT and see the GREAT LAKES!! You probably saw the Southern Tip of Lake Michigan when you were in Chicago!.. now see the REST OF IT!
Very cool. Hope you come back during the summer, it's a blast. Thanks. Enjoy your night.
@@DianeJennings Exceptional weather for early March.
Come back in Summer - go out sail boating on Lake Michigan.
It’s okay for a few blocks the rest of it is just not safe I used to go there yearly cuz i loved the vide downtown it it’s gone straight downhill the past 1 years and Detroit where im from has one the opposite Detroit is now somehow cleaner more safe and full of life now like Chicago used to be never thought I’d say that but Chicago seems to be using the San Francisco play book, so sad
I sometimes go to the Cheesecake Factory just for Linda’s Chocolate Cake. Its is my favorite desserts of all the restaurants I have visited worldwide. Now try the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake.
You crack me up. Laugh out loud video today. Thanks Diane. ED is amazing!
Aww shucks! Well, that’s the optimum thing for me to hear. Thank you.😊
I really do hope you enjoyed your stay here in Chicago. I am Chicago born and raised (I live out in the 'burbs now) and I think it's a pretty awesome place. And I always liked the John Hancock Center more than the Willis Tower observatory. So, good choice.
LMAFO "I don't think they're eating all the food because how are they so tiny?"
NO ONE TELL DIANE ABOUT LEAH SHUTKEVER
You definitely need to go to New Orleans, Louisana. It's a food-lover's paradise. So many delicious things there. Plus, it's a great city. But I love Chicago, as well. Great city!
Sounds great!
Great video! I always thought the Cheesecake Factory wasn’t exactly the most accurate name for it, with the full menu that they have! Also, I really think they gave you spinach and artichoke dip, not avocado dip, but I could be wrong. God bless!
Aww, I actually ended up watching this on Chewie's birthday! 🥳 Happy birthday, Chewie! 🎂
"Oh ........ That's Sparkly! Oh, that's me!" Made me snort laugh.
you can see why we're all so.... gravitationally challenged.
Aww Editor Diane actually likes Diane. That's so nice. Her comments were practically a bouquet of flowers.😉
I put $20 in a cheesecake factory waiter's shirt pocket before we got our food because my group was being obnoxious. Pleasanton, Ca. It was jumping.
If you're still in Chicago, you ought to make a stop at the Shedd Aquarium...and visit Sue at the Field Museum
that Cheesecake Factory is fun in the summer, they have a large and lively terrace with table service outside in the front (a bit cold right now)
Cheesecake Factory has pretty good quality standard American comfort food.
It's as if every one of them has copies of "The Joy of Cooking" on shelves in the kitchens.
You'll never get *great* food at Cheesecake Factory, but it's a good place to go with a large group because it has something for everyone.
Here on Long island, we have no shortage of Cheesecake Factories. Just about every large mall has one and we have a lot of large malls. Matter of fact, we also have a Cafe Lux. The Cheesecake Factory owns it and it's a fancier looking restaurant but the same prices and large meals. But with a smaller menu but the same popular dishes as the Cheesecake factory has. And usually smaller waits. For years after the Cheesecake factory opened here, if you went during dinner time on the weekends, it could be a three hour wait. But like with you, if you went from between say 1pm a 4pm it is virtually empty. More people than at your restaurant but maybe a dozen or so groups at best.
Yes, we have very large portions, but we can bring them home and have 3 more meals. That's a win and very economical. I love when restaurants have a huge menu to choose from. Isn't that the spinach artichoke dip, not avocado?
Great ending: You really can have your cake and eat it, too. Ah, Kerrygold... it's not just the cheese, it's the butter too! Watching your dining experience reminds me just how huge portions can be at many restaurants no matter whether you're in Chicago, New Orleans, Austin, or elsewhere (unless you're enjoying nouvelle cuisine of some sort where one gets modest portions for high prices). Thank goodness for "doggy bags" (which are not to be confused with other canine fashion accessories).
I think this might be my favorite vlog so far on the channel! Well done, Diane! 🥳 The jokes during the Tilt vlog and about finishing the Cheesecake menu completely sent me 🤣
If you like Louisiana chicken then you'll love New Brunswick Lobster. The Cajuns of Louisiana were originally from Acadia, now called New Brunswick Canada.
The view from the CN Tower, in Toronto Canada, is awesome. At 500 metres, the glass floor will give an experience you won't forget. No worries, the glass is thick enough to support an elephant.
Most restaurants have down time , even though they’re open between 2 pm. - 5pm. Then they’re set up for the evening guests / there’s a time break between meals that’s not busy as most people work and a business lunch is a half hour mostly to go food
Liked this so much that I'm going to make my husband take me to Cheesecake Factory in Pittsburgh (since I live in WV and we don't have one) for our anniversary this month.
I ate there 1x per week for 2 years. The Tuscan Chicken from the menu is like 500 calories all in and filling!
I used to drive 6 hours round trip to the Cheesecake Factory in Kansas City to pick up 14-16 cheesecakes for myself and family and friends back home. Haven't done it in a while since we i can find pretty good cheesecakes here now, but it brings up fond memories.
Come down to New Orleans. We have lots of Irish pubs and multiple St. Paddy's parades in March. Even a neighborhood called The Irish Channel.
The Irish Channel has changed a lot since I was a kid, last time I was there it looked more like the Puerto Rican channel. Still, New Orleans is a great city!
Diane "in context here's the size of my hand" Jennings. Also 12:22 that 1975 song in the background is one of my FAVES!!!
Closest Cheesecake Factory is 140 miles away. Good Thing is Grocery Stores sell Cheesecake items so still can enjoy some good Cheesecake. Thanks for giving a idea what to have for Dessert Today.
That manicure has BIG Lady Deathstrike energy. LOVE IT.
Another excellent and entertaining reaction. How can watching someone earring at The Cheesecake Factory be so much fun?
Louisiana and New Orleans is a great visit and a natural tourist destination. There is world class and unique food to experience, fun sites to see, and one of the birthplaces and remaining preservation places of American Jazz. Bourbon Street may be very touristy for many snobby Americans but you can find in a concentrated area clubs and venues that still have Jazz musicians performing. Outside of Louisiana is another world of swamps, alligators , and Cajun culture. It’s an experience like no other in the world. It’s worth a trip. There are plantations, Mississippi Riverboats, and also Voodoo shops. It is a very unique place.
The elder Diane makeup/persona was very unexpected, and welcomed hilarity! Tracy Ulman vibes!
Diane, you would have liked "Steak Diane." And not just for the coincidence of the name. It's on the menu. And it's delicious.
Yes! Please come to Louisiana! New Orleans, yes, of course, but also Lafayette. The best authentic cajun food is found in the Lafayette area.
Yes, Lafayette/Breaux Bridge has great food, but anywhere in the Atchaffalya basin you'll find good stuff!
You need to go to the Sear Tower at night , for the best views of the city. During the day just isn't the same.
My favorite chain restaurant . Great food, and the cheesecakes are amazing. Their prices are very reasonable, and the menu is crazy huge. Nice video👍👍
Did You know? Cheesecake Factory caters too all that good food. They sell on the catering menu items that serve 6 to 8 people though You can order multiple items when serving a bigger crowd.
Love your nails 💅 Enjoy all the food….nom nom. I have only been to the Cheesecake Factory twice, once was lunch the other time just for the cheesecake.
Happy Birthday Chewie !🎉
And you get the ‘Yep, she’s my mom’ award.
Have a great day on the 10th
Hey Diane, next time you're at The Cheesecake Factory, try the Steak Diane. It's pretty good.
I’m so glad you came to our beautiful city, so many UA-camrs never even consider it. But I have to question your idea of coming in February! At least it was a pretty warm (for us, anyway 😄) one. I really like the Cheesecake Factory, I’m glad you did too! Enjoy your visit! I’m looking forward you your Irish Pub tour. I don’t think they are very Irish, so I want to see what you find.
No tourists and fewer people out in general in Feb... but no fun visiting the parks, lakefront, beaches etc.
Mark Twain said that the food in Louisiana was as delicious as the less criminal forms of sin.
Kerrygold butter is far superior to regular butter. Love your videos, they truly make my day better.
Aww 🥰 Glad you like them!
Just recently added your channel to my feed - saw you on 'Lost in the Pond'! I've only been to the Cheesecake Factory once, about a year ago. O M G. And of course I'm trying to lose some weight right now. I was drooling! 😄
Living here in America, I absolutely agree with you when it comes to Kerrygold butter, it is the best.
Sorry I had to leave during the stream. Rum/raisin is my favorite cheesecake. And yes, you should go to Louisiana. One of the more exotic places to visit. Swamp buggy alligator viewing. Jazz clubs in New Orleans (Zydeco in the country) . Steamboat on the Mississippi (inner workings will amaze you). And New Orleans is a Foodie city along with many other Louisiana places having very unusual food.
I love that you really enjoy food. As a bit of a "foodie" myself, I know it's great to discover wonderful flavors that you've never tried before. I think I need to try that chicken/pasta dish myself sometime. It looks (and sounded) wonderful. And as a chocoholic myself, that cake looked like pure heaven.
In downtown Chicago Rick Bayless and his wife own two mexican resturants side by side. Fantastic food.
I use to live down the street from the Hancock Tower, right off Lake Shore Drive. It is a tad creepy on the observation tower. Cheese Cake Factory is a fat and calorie bomb. Great for a last meal.
Chewie would like cheesecake for his birthday. He says he may even share it. 😃
Haha i’m sure he would. He’d also be violently ill for a month afterwards unfortunately 😆 I’ll give him some good meat.
Today is Snacks Day goes perfect with the Cheesecake factory menu
Louisiana food is the best in the US. Definitely worth a trip to New Orleans. !
Definitely!!
You're right once I bought kerry gold as it started to show up in the US, butter was just never the same.
Diane in eating Heaven while the Cardigans play Lovefool.
Loved the "Diane's channel in the future" bit. Made me laugh out loud. And I hope you get a giggle out of this, but when you held the little bit of "meat" up to the camera, I said out loud, "No, that's a mushroom." Don't ask me why. 😆
After trying the Creole resturants of New Orleans, you should travel two hours west on Interstate 10 to the Lafayette Louisiana area to experience the French Cajun
cuisine. Your tastebuds will thank you.
The food I ate in New Orleans was the best I've ever had.
Diane's new channel, Diane muk bang cheesecake factory edition.😂 BTW, love the background music. THE CARDIGANS, LOVE FOOL, great song.👍🍀
Cheese Cake factory started in Michigan two college students who open the first one in California Michigan didn't get one until 2000's
Fun times, Diane! I'm glad you enjoyed another trip to the USA and enjoyed the food. 🙂
cheesecake is one of those foods that i really hated when i was a young child but a switch flipped in my brain at puberty and suddenly it was amazing
That’s so funny! Me too
Now, I want Cheesecake Factory, but there isn't one close to me.
Louisiana has one of the most famous cuisines in America. Well really two. Creole and Cajun.
Also, it's not uncommon for restaurants in downtowns/business districts of US cities to have happy hours for food. Those areas tend to have more foot traffic 9-5 so they can be pretty empty on weekday nights.
I love the Cheesecake Factory and my favorite meal is the Jumbalaya. Love cherry cheesecake.
I don’t know what that is! But great name
I've never had anything there but the jambalaya pasta because I love it so much! I googled a recipe for it once and found a pretty good dupe.
Everyone should go to New Orleans at least once in their lives. I've been twice, once with my family and once for business. I got hooked on chicken and sausage gumbo. I can't have seafood.
You absolutely need to got to Louisiana I e. New Orleans. The food, the music, the people. You'll love it
I've been to that exact Cheesecake Factory 3 times. I love Chicago. My favorite city. Been to the Tilt and the Sears Tower (Willis Tower) walk out.
So cool!
You should try the Rainforest Cafe sometime. There's a great one here in Nashville, Tennessee. Nashville would be a great visit.
Aw I miss Lenny. It was good hearing his voice again. Do you guys ever still hang out or stay in touch? I periodically go back and watch some of your vids together. Fun times. I love Cheesecake Factory! If you're bored for 2 minutes google search Chicken Reisling from CF. It's sooooo good. Buttered noodles with some marinated chicken pieces in sauce. It's the only thing i order lol
been there done that on my last time in chicago unbelievable view! my friends would not walk up to the windows scared sh-less
New Orleans is a bit of rough trade but the food is beyond reproach....amazing....surprising. They simply won't tolerate bad food. Plenty to drink as well.....and Frenchman's Street for lovely jazz.....
Cheesecake Factory should certainly have comped you the meal as you're doing a free promotion for them!
😂😂😂
I could have easily said it was horrible too 😂
Portions in the US are very large to give you value. Eating out is expensive and its easy to give you a larger portion without increasing the cost that much to the restaurant. How americans deal with it is that we expect you to take the extra home. Eating leftovers that night , the next day or whenever is considered completely normal and nearly expected. You can go to some of the finest restaurants in the US and say 'may I have a box' a the end of the night and they will be happy to give you one. Higher end restaurants will often use foil to sculpt it into something nice, like a bird. Often Europeans think this is strange but its a better way to reduce food waste and not feel guilty about ordering a large meal. Americans are big into left overs, there are complete recipe books on what to do with thanksgiving left overs, turkey pizza with everything from the meal (yams, cranberry, even gravy as sauce) is clearly the best option.
I'm so happy that Editor Diane made her appearance!! 🤣
I thunk Diane would get a kick out of New Orleans during Southern Decadence.
Happy to see you came to Chicago!
The tragedy of Cheesecake Factory and myself is I've been there but haven't tried their cheesecake!
I'm all about the avocado egg rolls!
Tragedy!!! I think they brought me the dip instead of the avocado egg bowls. I’ll need to try it next time.
I loved the video, now if you had the time you’ll be able to finish the rest!! There is a lot of good food, but honestly that is almost most menu’s!! You’ll probably take a while to finish most restaurant menu’s!!!
