Will : Thor because he’s a sorcerer who kills myths
Mike : Captain America because he’s a great leader and a great protector
Eleven : Iron man (woman) because she’s everything.

I agree except replace Noah Schnapp (Will) with Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas) and maybe swap Gaten and Caleb around.
I would have the six be Joe Keery/Steve, Winona Ryder/Joyce, Sadie Sink/Max, Caleb McLaughlin/Lucas, Gaten Matarazzo/Dustin, and Millie Bobbie Brown/Eleven - that's because I think all three main age groups ought to be represented in the six.
I'd put Noah Schnapp/Will where Joyce was - that's the Nick Fury spot, and it's Will's disappearance that assembles the various parties.
Natalia Dyer/Nancy to where Steve was, and either Robert Englund/Victor Kreel or Paul Reiser/Owens to where Nancy was (in the Avengers titles, that slot is Gwynneth Paltrow's, which I assume is because she is a big name, and they are big names.
And Finn Wolfhard/Mike first in the sequence (I know it's surprising not to have him in the six, but I don't think he has as big an arc as the other kids, and it mostly revolves around Eleven, so it makes sense to put him in the Rhodey spot).
