So much respect for Michael J Fox. He's never lost his sense of humour despite everything he's been through. A true inspiration to the indomitable human attitude.
You know, the very first movie Michael J. Fox was in that I ever saw was Stuart Little, where he voiced the title character. He did such a fantastic job in that role, in spite of what he's been going through!
@@sexobscura That's not what the original commenter was driving at. His point is that MJ Fox is modest and accepting enough of his state to actually make comedy out of it.
My dad got Parkinson, he is highly depressed.. I took a shot in the dark and showed him this video, unsure on how he would react. It was a success, he was actually shaking from laughter!
Sorry to hear about your Dad. Parkinson's is a truly terrible affliction. I'm a medicinal chemist, and I used to do research on Parkinson's and other neurodegenerative diseases. What medications is your Dad taking ? How long ago was he diagnosed ? The depression emerges from the degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in the brain, and dopamine is the neurochemical responsible associated with concentration, attention and a range of emotions, often happiness or, even euphoria. But when those neurons degrade the dopamine ligand has fewer places to bind to, to elicit the stimulatory response. Hence the excitatory neurotransmitters become less impactful on mood, and depression is a common symptom. It's a real bastard of a disease. Similar to Alzheimer's in the way it destroys brain tissue. There are new chemicals being researched that are available for Parkinson's, although in most cases they are off label or haven't been approved for Parkinson's (but for other conditions, unrelated to that disease), and yet are still shown to be effective in reducing symptoms in some people, according to the medical literature. So if you tell me his medications, if you know them, I can possibly recommend some others; some medications which are the first line treatment currently, are useful, but others aren't, and can actually exacerbate certain symptoms. It's worth looking into. You can adjust specific medications to provide specific symptomatic relief.

Totally. He Is an Actor. No matter what, that who he is, talented, thoughtful, caring and brilliant human being and actor! This all cant be taken away by anything. And that's most important

I already thought Michael J. Fox was the man, just based off the movies from my childhood but... Man, this scene really made me appreciate him so much more as a human being.
Michael J Fox really cemented his role as a comedy icon with this performance. That complete lack of self-consciousness and willingness to go for the funniest bit is extraordinary.
I can be a selfish person. In saying that, just SEEING Michael J. Just watched "Still" Michael's movie about his life and thoroughly recommend it. This is one of my favourite Curb episodes ever and I'm so glad Larry had this idea
This strikes a chord with me because I have Parkinson's and kept my sense of humor like Michael.. I even pranked my neurosurgeon after he totally fixed my Tremors using painless sound waves. Miracle surgery. Check out Tremor Documentary 2022!

Michael still has perfect delivery and comedic timing. He's an icon
I won't disagree. Yet, a lot of great actors have had to do more than one take of their scenes for a variety of reasons.
He's hilarious in the Good Wife. Plays a lawyer who uses his disability to manipulate juries and judges to win cases.
