Ahoy, Mateys! If you like this boat tour, I've got a lot more. Here's a whole playlist to enjoy! ua-cam.com/play/PLLkTJbQ6z3-La0YYMyTZRtfUJQ33UnwTQ.html
A big thank you to Mark and Vanessa for their kind hospitality and sharing a tour of this stunning boat with us. The interior is so much bigger than it appears and the elegant simplicity of the layout exceeds many newer boats this class. Just an incredible boat and wonderful owners, who would be a joy to get to know in person. Thanks CC for making this possible, great channel !
For anyone that has owned a old Chris Craft and worked on them can appreciate the level of craftsmanship the old timers put out and this one they have is a gem.
Cool boat, nice couple. The mid-late 60's were certainly the glory years for Chris Craft. The steel/aluminum Roamers, the fiberglass Commanders, the mahogany Constellations, the marine plywood Cavaliers, and the mahogany lapstrake Sea Skiffs all being built at the same time by one company.
I'll be damned...it is a small world afterall. I've been aboard this beautiful Chris Craft and have had the pleasure of showing her to several people in my Yacht Brokering years on the Chesapeake before these fine folks made the purchase. Her name is the same, and what a legacy she has. She's the only Roamer you'll ever see with that custom swim platform which, as Mark stated, also serves as a full beam trimtab. So nice to see she's been in good hands all this time. May the tides be with you, Captain Mark!
It’s a GREAT boat. I personally like the retro designed boats better than the modern ones that seem to be so full of manmade materials. The layout and spaciousness is excellent. Boat ownership is a lot of work, myself almost 59 years old and I find that I must push myself to do the necessary maintenance when I used to look forward to accomplishing those tasks. It could be that this wonderful couple is simply moving on to the next chapters of their life. 7 years, they’ve definitely lived it!
Awesome video! This is not just the typical description of everything on the boat. This instead talks about lifestyle, and how those features integrate with a great life on the water. This is about real people who live the dream, not someone who has purchased a boat and one day plans to live the dream.
Beautiful Boat! I didn't even know Chris Craft even built aluminum Cabin Cruisers! Wood & Fiberglass Yes! Aluminum? No! As one old captain once asked me if I knew what BOAT stood for? I said no! He told me "Bust Out Another Thousand" I own two small boats Bay & a Bass Boat! And the captain was correct about boats!
I love this one. This boat is my style, its a beautiful luxury apartment. And simple. Love it. Wow the space on this is awesome. Not going to lie. Out of all my boat videos over last year. This is my favorite. I'm no millionaire and this just seems perfect.
Your boat was made the year before I started working at Roamer , I worked at Roamer from 1970 till they closed it and went to work at Chris Craft just down the road a bit. My best friends dad was in charge of the joiner dept. and his crew built the inside of your boat. I worked at putting the insides of those boats together, from the 19 footers to the biggest yacht they made to date at that time, it was a 72 ft. speed boat with state rooms. That yacht was lighter than the 41 ft. glass boat they made, everything in it was made lighter, honeycomb bulk heads cabinets you name it, it was 1.5 million at that time. I wonder if it's still afloat. Glad to see some memories, enjoy.
Roamers are my favorite of all time. I owned a ‘62 and miss it sooo much. Continuous flow of people on the weekends coming down the dock to check it out. Kids came and boat parties had to stop.
@CullenCraft soooooo glad to see more vids from you!! My wife & I live right down in St. Augustine & we're in the process of buying a 53' Hatteras. We'd really love to chat sometime!!
Thank you Cullen great video,& thanks to the home/boat owners, very well decorated, very elegant. I'm soon to be uhuhwell,to the age I'd give anything to be the next proud owner.I'm partial to TN and clean water, but I definitely am a CC man. Thanks Again to the Owner's & Cullen
Is what an absolute great video and that is the perfect liverboard boat they were overbuilt ultra high quality and frankly a timeless boat it will outlive all of us especially in aluminum. The biggest thing is you have to keep them maintained or they will get ahead of you very quickly. Great video great boat owners are they buying another boat or going for the land?
What I experienced on our twin engine was to run only one engine at a time. You can keep your speed decent and save tons of fuel. Run one engine for an hour or two, then switch to the other.
@@CullenCraft Let me give you a sensory. I have a two wheeled horse drawn cart. I have 2 horses. I hook one horse up to my cart and we go around a track at 20 miles per hour. Then I hook up another horse to my cart, they both run at 20 miles per hour. Just because I added another hose, doesn't mean I can go twice as fast. I go the same speed, buit now I am feeding two horses to go the same speed. It;s the same with a boat. But now, I have the same cart by the same horse, but I am going up a hill at 5 degrees, I have top feed them more grain to keep up the same speed. It is the same with any energy driven vehicle.
This is a great vessel and a dynamic couple that live aboard and share the labor of love that comes with living life nautical style. This was a treat to see. Thanks for sharing!! BP
Love the Roamers. My Grandad had a Constellation. Detroit diesels are sweeeet. You could conceivably Loop her or take her to Europe and go up the Rhine then down the Danube.
I've been looking for either a Roamer or Commander, going on 5yrs now. I'd settle for a one of the larger 47' Commander's, but would do whatever I could to grab myself a 60' Roamer! Told myself, as soon as I find the right, that's it, I'm loosing my land legs & I'd be gone! Super jealous of your friends on their Roamer! Tell them I make a great Gillian ya know!! LOL
I grew up boating with my Parents from 9 years old into my early 20’s. Loved it. Would consider living on a boat, however my wife can get motion sickness sometimes. However I would love it!
my fam had a 1969 45 Connie at that time and it was a lot of fun. Slept great up in that front v berth. The restaurant at the Marina was called "Pompanos".
Ahoy, Mateys!

Is there any chance this boat is still up for sale?...
One of the better presentations of a boat because you actually see the people occupying the space. Beautiful boat.
Indeed!!!!
They have that boat decked out, and two V92 Detroit Diesel those engines will run forever with proper maintenance.

Absolutely gorgeous boat! Really nice hearing the people who are living the life describing it. Nice presentation.
Thank you!

Beautiful boat, total respect. That will still be a nice boat in 30 years.
We all know the boat is a good boat but that interior is at a whole different level
Yes. Insane awesome 👌
What a couple of legends Vanessa and Mark are.
They have made such a gorgeous home.
I love this boat, it is brilliant. The size just right.
Wow ..that boat is beautiful and so are the people!

Thank you that was a very good job!
What a great looking vessel! You guys have done an exceptional job maintaining and making her a comfortable home!
What a beautiful boat, thanks for letting us aboard.
That ship has one of the best names I have seen in a while.

What a beautiful boat. Great tour and owners. Thanks for sharing.
I suddenly fully understand the meaning of the word ‘envy’...

Wonderful Couple! Thank you for letting us see the boat!

Has the classic Chris Craft controls...gears on the outside, throttles inside. Best set-up ever.
I am relaxed after having heard this couple speak! Seem like nice people!

Beautiful, you two. You both have great taste. Can't believe how much room you have on her. Some day, my wife and I would love to own a Crist Craft. 😊

Can’t help but wonder why it’s for sale? They seemed so proud and in love with that boat....in any case a fine live aboard!
Roamers are my favorite of all time. I owned a ‘62 and miss it sooo much. Continuous flow of people on the weekends coming down the dock to check it out. Kids came and boat parties had to stop.

Love the Roamers. My Grandad had a Constellation. Detroit diesels are sweeeet. You could conceivably Loop her or take her to Europe and go up the Rhine then down the Danube.
While my family weekended in Oscoda Michigan on a 24' Sea Ray my dreams were expanded when beauties like this docked nearby.
Congratulations you two. You seem so happy. Your lifetime of work culminates in your happiness and pleasure.❤️
What a boat. What a couple.
When I grow up…
Omg, I want them as my new neighbors!
