I just finished the install of the third valve assembly on my 2018 B2301. I got the Kubota kit, not the Land Pride kit. It took me two full days in the garage to complete the job. It wasn’t easy, but I preferred the kubota brand over what I saw from Land Pride. If you are not a wrench twister, then you might find it tough and a little overwhelming. But, it is doable. I’m a shade tree mechanic, and I got it. You might have to buy yourself a set of metric wrenches.
Just a note, this grapple also comes with a standard quick attach plate from landpride to fit all the smaller tractors and skid steers.i put one on my ASV RT 30 skidsteer.turned it into a real weapon, but you must use these with care, they are light duty,Ive picked up 20ft hydro poles,no problem.
Hi - I know this is an older video, but getting a used SCG0548 on Saturday and wondering how long the lines from the grapple to the tractor are? I ask this because I need to replace one of these lines and want to get things in the works prior to picking up the grapple.
Great video, thanks! I know this is an older video, but hoping you might be able to tell me what style (and size) quick disconnects are used on the grapple and third-function connection? I ask this because I'm fab'ing up a rear remote connection to this grapple and trying to make sure my rear remote connections will be compatible with the grapple.
I believe they are 1/4 inch pioneer couplers but honestly that is only my slightly educated opinion. It was all installed at the dealer when I bought the tractor, so I did not have to source any parts. Might check out Tony's Tractor Adventure, he just fairly recently did a few videos on the grapple and install I think. Tell him O&D Life sent you. Sorry I couldn't help more.
immolder yes, I did have to put a bolt in the lower pin holes. The regular pins did not work. I meant to talk about it in my video but forgot. I'll probably do a separate video on it.
Thank you, I am thinking of getting the land pride or The Everything Attachments one. My 3rd function kit should be here soon so the dealer can put it on.
+immolder sweet, well the land pride one works and I am pretty sure the Everything Attachments one would also. As long as it would work with the Kubota quick attach, it should work with the Ai2.
I've been very pleased with them! Allen who delivered was very patient and showed me how everything worked, made sure I could put on and take off implents.
+GY Solutions I guess my delivery guy was in a hurr, didn't show me and I forgot to ask haha. where did you get the quick attatch adaptor or is that on newer tractors? mine is 2012 or 2013
observation: Why is it there are countless videos for a grapple hook for tiny Kubotas? Hell, just pick up the twigs by hand and stick the twigs in a garbage can.
At least 3…. I don’t create videos. Man, I haven’t heard Feasel changed to weasel in 35 years (elementary school). I do need a grapple for my BX25D, though.
@Feasel'sWeasel - 25D? OMG. That would be maxed out with the attachment alone? See my video of 1500 boulders for my personal landscaping. Mine lifts 2200# about 3" and 1500# high enough to place over gnomes. Pallet forks is my ticket. And matures prefer green iron, not little org weasels.
You forgot to say the modifications that you have to do to to hyds plus the quick attach about $2500 before you can operate the Grapple. In contrast to what Kubota advertises, there is nothing versatile about this tractor. Not without pumping all kind of money in mods. The old 8N Ford also pulled all the rear implements and a belly mower which kubota calls versatile. Thank you for sharing but you could have told us all that goes into running a grapple.
no factory compact or sub compact tractor comes factory with a 3rd function valve they ALL CHARGE extra for it this is the only thing needed to operate this grapple so what is your complaints about Kubota?also a skid steer style front attach instead of a pin on is only about a 400$ upcharge from the purchase of new. not sure where you are getting 2500 at.

You'll enjoy it! It is the right tool for so many jobs.

Thanks for adding the info.

@@ODLife Thanks for the reply and suggestion! I'll check out the channel you mention - certainly will let him know you sent me :-)

Here's a link to the couplers that linked up to my BX2680 rear remotes.
I wish Kubota would improve on its standard bucket to be a smarter bucket. I don't like to have a whole bunch of implements around.
Have you tried hooking up the grapple with the AI2 quick hitch? thanks walt

I have been wanting one for my BX. Maybe it is time to get one. Did you install it your self? If so is the 3rd function hard to install?
+Herm Zinn Hey Herm my dealer installed since I ordered at same time as tractor.
Good video, very informative.
+High Desert Hollow Thanks for watching!!
Hi, is the 3rd function valve a factory 3rd function valve from Kubota or is it after market?
it is factory Kubota from dealer. I had them install when I bought the tractor.
Its not factory Kubota, its made by Landpride
Kubota owns Land Pride!
Nice vid bud
Thanks for watching and commenting!
sweet wish I had one!
thanks for watching!
I wonder how a pallet grapple would do in picking limes and brushes?
I seen people do it, I think it just depends on using what you have and making it work. Thanks for watching and commenting!
dude. I got my bx25d from Cahaba tractor too!

+Kevin Scurlock the quick attach came from dealer and purchased at same time as grapple.

I see your same comment on a lot of videos 😂.
@Jaymee'sWeasel - lots or just 2?
Do you have videos to share? No? You just sit on mowers at Lowe's ?
At least 3…. I don’t create videos. Man, I haven’t heard Feasel changed to weasel in 35 years (elementary school).

Observatio: My riding mower has 1hp more than your 25d.

never seen a belly mower on an 8n. If someone has one, You didn't tell how much work was involved to get it to hook up and operate
