      Very true. I’ve lost friends and my Girlfriend for this and I just can’t stop. It’s been three years now and I’m just starting to taste the success of all that work, time and sacrifice.
      So many especially my ex told me I was delusional, that I couldn’t do it, or ask why I think I’m special. Nobody wants you to succeed because they will be left behind is what I discovered.
      I’m making the world a better place, saving lives, and building a company AND career for myself.
      They laughed and put me down but they didn’t realize that it didn’t defeat me it FUELED me!
      I started homeless with a broken smartphone, if I can succeed anyone can. Every empire starts with the first step.

    Hey, you- the one reading this. Things might be tough now, but as long as you keep your head up and your heart calm, you'll make it through the storm. We pass by so many people in our lives that we forget they're experiencing so many trials, happy moments, grief, regret, love, and hope- just like we are. Among those people there are those that believe in you. I know it doesn't count for much, but I believe in you too. Keep going! Keep going!

    This is really helpful! Thank you for that awesome advice! :) The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing. Wake up with determination. Go to bed with satisfaction. This is how we started our business, Cookie Munchers. Let me just share a quick story with you guys. :) We own a cookie shop business in our college town. When we first started it, we just graduated college and were living in our car with very little direction, just a huge passion to be successful. I started it out of a local bagel shop in their off hours at night with my boyfriend, Bran. It was a crazy experience but it worked! We became a success! And how we have our first storefront location (a second one currently under construction but launching soon!) We started it to fund a year long backpacking trip around the world and to be successful while living the life of our dreams.

  • @drewsson
    @drewsson 4 роки тому +161

    If you find yourself not motivated to get started. Emotionally connect with your goals. If you visualize the feeling of reaching your goal and see it before you, it WILL motivate you to push further and make it MUCH easier to do so. Get real specific, the joy inside of you when it happens, the people congratulating you, the things you can give back to your family. Be imaginative! That's how I stay motivated to reach my goals. I've just started my UA-cam Channel and even though I go practically unseen I know WHY I'm putting in all the work. Cause my goal is a part of me, it drives me.

    The lesson I learned from this vid which I think is the most important lesson I can learn:
    Its so easy to look at success as the top of a mountain. But what success really is, is what it takes to climb it.
    If I don't concentrate on what it takes, my goal will never come no matter what. It will only fume disappointment.
    Love the process just as much as you love the prize.

    So here’s my personal story, not that anyone will read this but if you do read it, hopefully it gives you inspiration. 3 years ago I got married, I had no money to my name, I owned nothing but a 2004 truck that I bought for 4 grand (hell I didn’t even own that, I took a loan out to buy it) my wife and I were barely getting by and times were hard. We got married in October of 2016, in January of 2017 I got recruited by a company overseas and I was making about $210 a day for 6 days a week. They were about 16 hour long days. The money wasn’t great but for someone who had nothing the money was awesome. Well a few months into my employment I was tired from working so much and tired of being away from my wife (mind you we were still freshly married) so I quit. I had about $4,000 saved up. I got home and we burned through the savings and ended up moving back to her home state (1,200 miles away). I took a job as a car salesman and did fairly well but it seemed as though we could never get ahead in life. A year went by and I got lucky and was recruited by another company overseas. This time making $450 per day, 5 days a week and 12 hour days. I told my wife that we really needed the money, our credit cards were maxed out, we were renting a trailer to afford housing, and I had $135 to my name. We weren’t going to make it. I took the job with the expectation of doing it for a few months to get ahead again in life and then just come back home. Fast forward and about a year later our debt was paid off. I still didn’t have a savings account but our debt was paid. I wanted to stay another year to build up some savings and even though my wife wanted me to come home she understood why I stayed over here. I’m fortunate enough to where my company lets me collect overtime, so for the past 6 months I decided to buckle down and not take a single day off, (Partly my choice by mostly due to Covid we are understaffed, I saw an opportunity and took it). I am dog tired and I have seen my wife a total of 60 days in the past two years BUT I now have no debt and I have 40K in the bank. I am also building my own house (otherwise I’d have much more money saved) and I’m doing it all in cash. I also purchased 3 acres of land in cash. Not to brag about myself, but the point is, with hard work and dedication you may not be a millionaire, but you can pick yourself up from nothing (in my case $135 and massive debt) to something spectacular (40K saved so far, owned outright 3 acres of land and 60% of the way done with my house which will be mortgage free when it’s done later this year). There’s no shortcuts in life, there’s no cheat codes. I go home and my friends tell me “it must be nice to have money” (I don’t consider what I have to be “having money”) and I tell them, it wasn’t handed to me, while you’re at home partying I’m at work, while you’re in bed next to your girlfriend every night I’m 7,000 miles away from my wife, while you’re fine accepting a minimum wage job because you don’t have any skills I’m using my skills I learned from the military and putting them to use. I’m not living life, I’m living a depressing life so I can get ahead and enjoy my later years. There’s no substitute for hard work, and my company realized that in me, I just got a raise to an annual salary of about $155,000 a year. In 10 years time I’ll be better off than the majority of people in my town and I’ll be able to live a good comfortable life.
