I like how I already liked this video because I didn’t know how to use it before and now I’m back and still don’t know how and it brings me back to the one I learned from. This dementia is getting to me.
Thanks for vid, any ideas why via mylink app & keyfob I can't get remote starter to work. No codes pending. No error codes after attempt. Lights flash but never starts. Ever. Hood is closed. No check engine light. It just doesn't work beyond lights flashing. Thanks in advance for any input.
Dave Butch Thanks for the reply yes you actually can get away with it with one single click of the lock button. Just tested it and it works perfectly, so thanks for helping me start my truck sooner
@@ginoasci2876 Great question. I can create a video if you need help so let me know. Here are my written instructions to tackle this and extend your run time. The Remote start time may be extended by an additional 10 minutes by again pressing and releasing the lock button and then pressing and holding the Remote Start buttons on the transmitter. This feature is called a “Remote Vehicle Start continue” and allows a maximum of 20 minutes of engine running. If the RVS continue is performed at 7 minutes into the initial 10 minute time-out, a total of 17 minutes of engine running would occur. Hope that helps you. Let me know?
Tyler Mccloud sorry totally read that wrong Early this morning. Yes it’s a safety feature I believe to not have it run. You would need to have reset to Test and make sure it still works without it

Would the check engine stop the remote start from working
Tyler Mccloud yes. Just hold the remote start button again and it will shut off. It will go off automatically after 15 min as well
Ik that but it won’t start the truck if the check engine is on.

You don't need to double click the lock button, just push it once...
William Hollister : hi, how do i change the run time on a 2015 GMC factory remote start so it runs longer than 10 minutes?
@@ginoasci2876 I don't think it's possible. About the only thing to do is restart it.
