- As much as this is a showcase of the beauty that is Guatemala, it's also a piece of pure nostalgia for me. I carried my cameras through two months to capture as much authentic footage of the country as possible. This is the end result, shown in slow motion with some added sentimental music.
I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to experience this beautiful country, both the good and the bad sides. If you ever get the opportunity, don't hesitate one bit taking it!

hay muchos videos de mi Guatemala en donde se muestran los paisajes, lagos, volcanes y todos los lugares turísticos y bellos que podrán visitar cuando vengan, pero hoy que tuve una actividad cívica con los alumnos de mi escuela se los compartí porque los shucos, las tortillas, tamales, y mi gente tratando de salir adelante día a día es lo que realmente verán cuando nos visiten. Jordan Mathis Thank you Very Much. It's a place called Semuc Champay. Not quite sure of the history of the place, but it's an area consisting of some beautiful blue lakes. You definitely have to go there. It's a 6-8 hour drive from Guatemala City.
Willswill just wanted to assist with some information, Semuc Champey means: a river that goes under a river. If you walk up the river not too far you’ll see the river comes aggressively towards you and disappears beneath your feet and then reappears down the path waayy down there.

Thank you. It's not the safest place on earth, not gonna lie. If you plan to go as a tourist, then stick to the tourist activities and places. Spend as little time in Guatemala City as possible, stay at a hostel in Antigua and use it as a "base camp". Safe travels!
