God bless Marty Stuart and the Fabulous Superlatives for keeping real country music alive. And how about Kenny Vaughan on guitar? These are some of country’s greatest custodians.
Wow i had Stonewall do a small venue for my Dads birthday in 2007 in our small town Tenino Wa. he did a awesome show and his jokes we gut busters .. him and wife are the nicest people ... good to see hes still got it...
He never seemed to come across that elusive hit song, but his singing and playing is worthy of the top of the charts. And there aren't enough fabulous superlatives to describe the Fabulous Superlatives!
Crikey, these Marty Stuart Show performances are fast becoming the last testament for a generation of country musicians taking leave from this mortal coil. They will be missed.
This video brings back fond memories of dancing - Two Step, Ten Step, Pony, Lindy, Waltz, Cotton-Eyed Joe, etc. - to live country music performed by the house bands, Beau MelGreen and Liberty, Private Stock, at what was the Sacramento area’s most popular country music nightclub, Renshaw’s Starlight Room, which became The Yellow Rose, circa 1984 to 1989.
A true country music icon Saw him several times at the Grand Ole Opry. Still has a great voice at his age. Wish there were more like him He needs support to stay on the Opry He is true Country
Yesterday I made the mistake of investing 2hours 9minutes,watching the 2014 CMA awards show....the only thing country was Brad Paisley's hat,the only thing steel, was the mike stand! As for the whining speaking voice of Carrie Underwood, thank god for Connie Smith! Thanks Marty, this show has restored my faith!
Agree! My favorite era of 🎵country music🎵 was 1984 to 1995. Why they call today’s country music, country music is an unsolved mystery that will never be solved.
My Favorite Country Music Show of All Time , I Wish it was in Higher Quality than 240p that kind of sucks , AAAARRRGGGH ! ! ! but thanks anyhow , Two Thumbs UP
Marty thank you for this great show big fan of yours and Connie Smith thanks for one of the greatest Artist Out there StonewallJackson love his singing listen to him still today 2021 Beautiful wow
The Superlatives with Gary (from Connies'band) are the best backup band that I've heard on UA-cam. Only the CFR band (Bill Anderson) come close. It doesn't matter which guest is on the show, they perform brillantly!
One of the originals, Stonewall Jackson. Too bad the Grand Ole Opry outgrew him. So much better than what the so called artists are featured today. It's amazing they have a crowd at all...
Sorry. but RIP to another great who has passed on. George Jones RIP.You were one of the greatest ever George. Country has lost one of the best in the last 50 years!
20:06 is "Life to Go" first recorded by George Jones in 1959 a true hit about a man who is doing life in prison for the murder of an other man He regrets his decision 18 years down the line He misses his daughter and wife most
I wonder if that's, perhaps, why she was never a big country star? I swear, every one of her songs sound exactly the same. She really only had one song reach No.1 - Once a Day.
StaceyDMify Maybe because she sang so many Bill Anderson and Dallas Frazier songs? Just a thought. That said she is still the best female country singer ever.
RIP Stonewall Jackson.
Marty, the history keeper of country music.
God bless Marty Stuart and the Fabulous Superlatives for keeping real country music alive. And how about Kenny Vaughan on guitar? These are some of country’s greatest custodians.

I always thought Marty was so-so, but after watching a few videos of his show, I'm a big fan. And the Fabulous Superlatives are just fantastic.

I think personally that in the old age Stonewall and Porter Wagoner sing a lot alike
20:06 is "Life to Go" first recorded by George Jones in 1959 a true hit about a man who is doing life in prison for the murder of an other man

every song Connie Smith sings sounds exactly the same. I do like her, though.
Your right
I wonder if that's, perhaps, why she was never a big country star? I swear, every one of her songs sound exactly the same. She really only had one song reach No.1 - Once a Day.
StaceyDMify Maybe because she sang so many Bill Anderson and Dallas Frazier songs? Just a thought. That said she is still the best female country singer ever.
I would never want her any other way. Could listen to her till the cows come home .
Anyone know why Marty Stuart keeps his neck covered?
