This scares people who could not live without transfusions. I had six transfusions in six months and had no adverse reaction whatsoever.

Jay Gamillione I was told last night I need a transfusion because I have severe anemia... but I feel good, except for dizziness.
I am so afraid of a reaction to a transfusion. It's not as if I need open heart surgery...I honestly do not believe I need a transfusion for anemia. The risks are not worth it.

I don't think hospital need that volume of blood drawn for test. some of it goes to blood bank once your blood is verify good

old video but because of that, it reinforces the BASIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS nurses must take. Not assuming they know the patient, pre-labeling tubes, not verifying the order. These mistakes still happen and if one works in a hospital without sophisticated EHRs or scanning technology, the risk is much greater.

I had a reaction from platelets and I'm trying to figure out why. I didn't know if being vegan was a variable. It was very scary.
