When lanes are tight and i need tight control of speed, i use 5 steps. When i need more speed, i use 4 steps from the same starting point but i also bend my knees, hips more in setup, take a longer first step, longer yet power step and a nice long powerful slide. And yes, muscling the ball is necessary. It took approximately a month and over 1000 shots to really get control of it. It helps i bartend in a small center and can bowl when its slow.
Thanks for this tip! I'll definitely try this when I practice on Saturday! 4 step from farther back, can already see my feet being forced to move faster. 1000 shots? Long way to go for me but all good cause its fun! :)
@@carlosmunoztv400 I bowl the equivalent of 60 games a week practice because I work at a bowling center for 1 of my jobs. When it is slow I can bowl on the clock. I wish I had a coach to fine tune things a bit more, but for now just putting in the time.
