    Thanks for posting.
The results are surprising, especially in regards to R1a and R1b.
A survey that tested Iranian Kurds found R1a at a remarkable 20.3%, which was highest in Western Iran.
And R1b at only 1.7% which is also remarkable, for the opposite reason.
In Iraq, Sunni Muslim Kurds also had an unusually high amount of R1a.
    17%. And a remarkably low amount of R1B, 4%.
Yazidis on the other hand had plenty of R1b and relatively few R1a.
A similar pattern was found in Turkey, where R1b appears to be much more common among Alevis than Sunni Kurds.
This survey shows smaller disparity between the regions. R1b is almost 3x as common as R1a in all the surveyed regions.
Perhaps due to a larger or more representative sample?
I'm going to do a Y-DNA test soon. My roots are in Kermanshah and Garmian. If I had to guess, I'm J2.

Both J1 and J2 are of Caucasus-Zagros-Caspian origin.
J1 spread to the Arabian Peninsula much later, through pastoralism, where it replaced E1b as the dominant paternal line.
J2 only became common in Western Anatolia and southern Balkans due to Chalcolithic migrations from south Caucasus and Upper Mesopotamia.
The Neolithic Anatolians were known for C and G2.

I have seen 20 percent R1A haplogroup in samples from kurdistan province of iran, kurds have 10%to 20% R1A haplogroup + 10% to 15% R1B haplogroup,i think your samples are not that accurate, also remember this fact that closest people to jewish people in the entire world are kurds, armenian and assyrians, kurds have ancestors from lost tribes of israelites according to a study from hebrew university and from writing in history books and old testament torrah bible,

I have hear a lot but I trust only my eyes.
      Can you post your source?
This source is from a Kurdish University so you don’t trust Kurdish sources?
