I’m a Wisconsin alumnus and I’ve been to almost every badger game for the past five years. I’ve been infatuated with the Flexbone since running a variant of it in high school and playing with it in college football video games. This game was something else in comparison to other badger games I’ve been to. You could feel the badger d and coaching staff become used to the running attack and Army was able to exploit that in the fourth with their comeback. It was an interesting game as you could feel the frustration from the fans and coaches with the fact you’d look up at the scoreboard in the second half and see a 13-0 score. The flexbone is truly a thing of beauty and Army deserved to beat the badgers that night.

It's a bit frustrating that Army couldn't figure out how to stop A-gap blitz from WI LBs. I also think the academies under-utilize Midline.

The fake toss at 11:39 is just beautiful. Love this offense.

Coming back and watching this again, I'm much less impressed with Wisconsin. Army simply couldn't figure out what Wisconsin was doing on defense in the first half. When Army adjusted in the 2nd half, the Wisc D struggled

Good showing from army. Tough game. Have to own the line of scrimmage.

LB #5 (Chenal) from Wisconsin is a beast... I don't follow B1G football too much, but I'm impressed play in and play out by this guy.

Great effort. Great game. L on the scoreboard but W in our hearts.

I can't figure out what is going on in this game even though I've rewatched it a few times. It really looks like Army is getting movement on the action key but then the Wisc LBs just appear out of nowhere to make the tackle. This is the most effective I've ever seen a defense look against a good flexbone running game.

It reminds me in some ways of watching when GT would play UGA and Clemson. The X's and O's look really good, but at the end of the day UW's size, talent and depth were too much to overcome

@@Flexbone101 Do you agree that Army seems to be getting movement on the UW Dline? It's just that holes seem to close as soon as they open. UW looked like an NFL defense out there.

Bit late, but - on a lot of plays, they have a DT lined up directly over the center, and then another guy gunning at the gap between center and guard. They sometimes look like they’re doing that, then pull back, or switch where it’s coming from. On the plays where they bust through and harass the qb in the backfield, that’s what was happening.

@@nicholasd.5017 so did they just shoot the gaps to shut down the interior runs and rely on their superior team speed to defeat the outside stuff?
