  • Tips on minimalist beauty routine with a focus on antiage. Things that you can do/DIY at home without expensive cosmetologist procedures and fancy skincare products.
    I’m a low-income minimalist and therefore, I try to find ways to pamper myself on a budget.
    My skin is not perfect and, in this video, I’m not wearing any makeup except for a slightly tinted lip balm.
    Thank you for watching!
    From Siberia with love,
    Ana

    You certainly don’t look your age Ana and you could pass for 10 years younger. Whatever it is you’re doing is working very well, I also believe that your state of mind can have an effect on your skin, clear mind clear skin (to an extent). When you used the pretty scarf to take your hair away from your face in your bathroom it really suited your face shape, you have lovely bone structure and not having hair onto your face shows how elegant you look. Hugs from England my friend 🤗💛🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

    Have you ever tried a honey mask? I really enjoy them periodically. Just regular honey, thick honey if you have it. It's all natural, and antimicrobial. Draws out oils and impurities from your pores, and feels really nice afterward. If you have crystallized honey, it's also a light exfoliant. I'm no dermatologist but it feels luxurious and smells delicious too.

    You are absolutely charming, it's so refreshing finding you. I've been through a very irrational spending spree recently and I realized how much of a capitalist cub I am. People can sell me snow in the winter if it's nicely packaged.
    I can recognize the stories about the ex-communist block, I am Eastern-European and we're close in age, so...yea, forced minimalism is putting it mildly. I remember my mom saving on everything, doing everything by hand, teaching me how to mend socks like it's forever going to be a lifeskill. she even had this little device to mend nylons. and then the world changed and socks and nylons were less of a damn commodity :D jesus, our poor parents...
    so now I spend like crazy. absolutely like crazy. I am going to watch your channel a lot cause I think you might be good for me.

    i never skimp on sun protection. even in winter, even inside, cloudy days, every day. this is both about skin health (preventing the big C illness) and best long-term defense against wrinkles. i'm not sure if i can sell you on it, but if you decide to buy one make it a top quality. if your skin is sensitive go for mineral-based so that you don't have to throw away and experiment. sun screens are generally uncomfortable on the skin, even the good ones.
    pro tip, buy in winter. best sunscreens are up to 50 euros in the summer and 5 to 15 in the winter, so stash :D
    Cheers!

      О, какой чудесный комментарий! Спасибо огромное за него:) Сижу, улыбаюсь. У вас такая замечательная, нужная позиция по поводу внешности и красоты... Да, наши тела - это такое же чудо, как и наше мышление, наша личность. Я так рада, что встречаю тут прекрасных, умных людей 💚 Спасибо

    After moving from my balmy home country (Samoa) to New Zealand, I've struggled with eczema on my face. But in the last couple of years with some dietary changes and stopping all skincare products with the exception of moisturiser, my face skin is back to being clear for the first time in forever. I know that not using cleanser (except an oil cleanser to remove makeup which rarely happens) is a cardinal sin nowadays but cold water is what works for me so I'm sticking to it! ☺ ps the tape for frown lines hack is so clever!

    Your honesty is refreshing. As a minimalist man, I struggle to take the time to care for my skin as I would like to. Perhaps I should take a simple routine to start and form the habit. I’m so used to simply splashing warm water over some facial soap that leaves me feeling so dry and irritated, especially during the winter. Any tips?

    • @anagoldberg
      @anagoldberg  2 роки тому +7

      Thank you so much for the comment!😊 Men usually have thicker and more oily skin than women but it also badly needs hydration, esp in colder months. My brother is in his mid 40'ies, and I recommended him using a mild cleanser in the evening (not a soap though as it can be too harsh) and then applying a water-based serum. Aloe vera often works well for male skin. Anyway, I'm not a cosmetologist or a skincare professional, just sharing my personal knowledge:) Hope this will help! 🌿

      Maybe try a good quality coconut oil or rose hip seed oil while you’re skin is still damp. If you apply the oil before your skin dries it won’t feel as tight and dry.

    • @anagoldberg
      @anagoldberg  2 роки тому +4

      @@CalmVibesVee Thanks for the advice! I hesitate to use coconut oil as I heard a lot that it can clog pores, and I have that tendency. But I will definitely give rosehip oil a try!

      If you don’t use make up, you don’t really need a face cleanser. Just water has been fine for me since years. My skin still wants more. I go for simple creme and not too much smell. Even a basic body lotion is fine. Currently, I’m using up sun screen. The trick is to try something and observe what your skin likes instead of listening to marketing.

      @@anagoldberg Hello again Anna: D my real name is Alba ("the dawn" in Spanish). Thanks for your answer! I visited Russia in 2018 with my ex-partner, Georgii, who is from Nijni Novgorod. We visited Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nijni Novgorod and Grandma's little village (of course we slept in the "дача" and I used a "Баня" for the first time!). It was a wonderful trip, I am very interested in contemporary Russian culture and history. Another unforgettable memory was the museum of aeronautics in moscow. For a girl from a few small African islands in the Atlantic, it all seemed like science fiction. I was impressed with the difference between "the capitals" and the rest of Russia. I remember a grocery store in Grandma's village! There was a portrait of Lenin on the wall and the old woman who sold me the food used abacus! She saw that I was looking at the portrait and said something in Russian. Upon leaving, my ex-partner told me "she says that communism has not left here." And everyone was looking at me on buses. One "дедушка" asked Georgii's grandmother who I was, where I came from and why I spoke French with Georgii (we met in France, I lived there for 5 years). It was very nice to meet a Russian family and Russian people in their natural habitat, you are very welcoming, familiar, kind and authentic! (when you gain trust with the person).
      I take the opportunity to comment here on your video "Why I left a good job in Moscow to go back to Siberia". I felt so identified with him! I also come from an outermost region 2,500 km away from the capital (although our history is linked to Spanish colonialism and our identity is very particular, the identity of the Canaries is a debate). In my case, I traveled to France with the intention of building a life there because the economic situation of the islands was and continues to be disastrous, but the big city consumed me! I was used to the sun, fresh air, exotic vegetables and fruits, the sea, people's smiles, to growing my food, making my clothes, making soap, knitting, making fermented foods, simple and authentic life! I was becoming someone else! I also have a minimalist vision of life, I like self-sufficiency, simple things and DIY, I love being able to create the things I need and not having to buy them. So the superficial, consumerist lifestyle of the big city is not for me. After going through depression and suicidal thoughts, I made the bravest decision of my life and went back to my roots to embrace them with all my soul

      @@AmesimovHi, Alba! Your name is beautiful 😍 And if we're talking about names, I use Ana for Anastasia:) A common short version Nastya can be a bit tough to pronounce, so for English-speaking environments, I introduce myself as Ana. WOW, what an experience you had in Russia! And I can agree with all the observations you've made about this country 😊 So happy that you decided to go back to your roots, you're brave indeed! It's commonly perceived as a weakness when you get back to your "old life", but... Life is only in the moment, and we always have the right to be true to our real selves, the essence of us always knows better. Your story is really so beautiful to me...

I use the following recipe: 2 tsp of chickpea flour, 1 tsp of white clay, 3 tsp of ground dry rose petals (I buy them from a cake-making supply store:)), 2 tsp of ground mint leaves, a pinch of turmeric. Mix everything up and use! You can use other herbs and flowers instead of rose and mint! And also any type of dry clay to your liking❤️🤗

    Is that stuff you put on your face to clean it (did you call it something like utuk?) almond meal by any chance? I've recently discovered your channel and enjoy it so much. In fact, I just recommended it to another minimalist UA-camr I love, and you remind me of each other. Her channel is ecofriend.lia. I think your honest and down-to-earth vibe is very similar. She is located in Berlin, where I am originally from although I've lived in the US my entire adult life. I can't wait for your next videos! It's so nice that UA-cam allows you a peek into other cultures, and lets you "meet" people that have a similar mindset, yet live far away and across the globe.
