The guitar is really coming together. You can now get a feel for how it will look at its completion. Support: / rosastringworks Website: www.rosastring...
I have been following the progress of this beautiful guitar, and am waiting anxiously for the next part of the build video. Your video tidbits in the last couple of live shop talks are real teasers.
This has been my favorite guitar build session for you. I think this will be the finest one you've built yet. I can't wait to hear it. One day, I'll own a Rosa guitar.
Jerry Awesome, I really like the Paduke but your right its dust gets on everything.. I love that rosette that you made its simple yet stunning.. I can’t wait for the next vid on this guitar. Thank you & God Bless
My neighbour must think I lost it totally. I laughed so much with the heavy metal neck comment. This is a beautiful instrument. And just as much as any you made with love, skill and dedication
I'm not a friend of the (relatively new) YT message system, but when it announces one more hour of pure, undiluted Jerry... more of that, please. Goes for Caleb, too.
Man, I love watching you work, Jerry!! Good "incidental" music, too; I like it! PS: I love how you curved the end of the fretboard to match the soundhole.
Jerry, I really love the progress on this guitar, when you put on that light coat of laquer on the guitar, the padauk just pops it's just absolutely stunning.
There is a certain joy and deep pleasure in playing a very fine acoustic instrument. If you are a 'musician' and get to play several guitars, you will understand what I mean. That guitar, like all of Jerry's creations, will be cherished for many generations. An heirloom. Nice to see it being born. Thanks for sharing, Jerry. I feel lucky to witness your videos.
As always an awesome great video doing awesome great work. I think the guitar will be great. Thanks for sharing your video. I will look forward to the next video. Stay well & safe my friends.
Thanks for another great video bud, it's coming along grand. I'm getting a wee bit feart,, "scared" of how good it's going to sound. So respect and stay healthy all.
... Really Looking Great! I personally have never been a big fan of the look of those armrest spots on guitars But this is one I am liking a lot... your inlay work is exceptionally nice... Very Very Nice!
That beautiful guitar is coming on really well, all those quality woods look just fabulous! The binding bending machine works great and so did the new binding router, what a great investment. Your "weapon of grass destruction" shirt, I was expecting it to have a picture of a mower! :-) Super job again Jerry! Thanks so much for posting.
Jerry my dad passed a year ago. He had the same sense of humor as you. Example: I once went in a music shop with him. I needed some guitar polish. I asked the guy for some fender polish. My dad asked me in front of everyone why only get the fender polish.?Why not get enough for the whole vehicle? Lol
WOW! What s beautiful guitar! Nice job Jerry! Maybe sometime in the near future could you make me one? I know they are very expensive and time consuming to build, but I've got to have one.
A cordless brushless drill makes a pretty good makeshift lathe for sanding down tiny parts. That’s how I sand the fiberglass tips down to 1mm on the ice fishing rods I make. I’m not sure how productive it would be on ebony but it would be better than nothing. Your tip about sandwiching the material between the sandpaper is spot on! Just be careful because things heat up quick and you’ll burn your fingers. Don’t squeeze too tight!
The guitar is looking good, Jerry. I really like the diamond inlays in the fretboard and bridge. Just when we think we've seen most of Jerry's ways of doing things we see two new ones i this video. The ready made strips of tape was one. The other was using rubber bands and clamps to hold the end piece of the fretboard binding in place. I wouldn't have thought of that.
Heavy metal is probably going to be mentioned a lot in the comments! Excellent job as always. Can't wait to see the finished guitar, and hear it played.
i have to agree with you about wood binding . one more little trick i use when i precut my binding tape i stick it to the guitar side so its there and ready to go
Years ago when I worked in a retail store we had a desktop tape dispenser that cut your tape to a preset length by pushing down a lever, might be worth your time to try and find one with all the tape you use.
That reject headstock veneer could be a very expensive bookmark! I install frets the same way, rather than cutting them all out first - it's reassuring you also do that.
Every time i see you use padauk. I instantly want a padauk guitar. But cant seem to find them. Are the big companies afraid to use something that's not the "standard" or is it because it is harder to work with it? Great work on the guitar. You seem to improve every time. Even after all those years of experience. Keep it up :)
Jerry - Your builds from scratch are amazing and so much better than the mass produced instruments. I'm going to guess you can get $3000 - $5000 for your custom guitars?
@@RosaStringWorks i really should not ask Any more. Ive never made an acoustic, though i want to, im just imagining everything you do as you do it. My confusion is, if the neck is slightly angled to the guitar top so that a straight edge is slightly above the bridge, then it cant be flat where it meets at the neck joint? There must be a tiny angle there?? Sorry for asking. Im rivetted by all that you do, and this guitar is stunning.
do u sit your truss rod deeper than most? cause i didnt think most guitars i have repaired the truss rod was right to the top level with the neck so u didnt need filler strip before glueing on finger board? just wondered why if that is the difference in two way to single action truss rods or different styles or just what u do it that way always love to learn more about what other prefer! thanks for video and reply!
You stick a piece of tape to each surface then you put super glue on the tape and stick the 2 pieces together then when you're done you Can pull them apart
Man. It kills me that people question your methods on this channel and yet you come out with beauties like this.
This is true craftsmanship at work. The customer will be a very happy and proud owner. Great job and video Mr. Rosa!
I have been following the progress of this beautiful guitar, and am waiting anxiously for the next part of the build video. Your video tidbits in the last couple of live shop talks are real teasers.
IMHO , this may very well be your most magnificent 6 string creation!! Bravo Doc!
Melissa, could you please edit in a drum fill (ba da bum crash) whenever Jerry shares one of his corny jokes? 😀
I think Jerry’s getting better with each build ! I think this guitar is cosmetically coming out a little better than the Carolina Rose ! Looks great 👍
This has been my favorite guitar build session for you. I think this will be the finest one you've built yet. I can't wait to hear it. One day, I'll own a Rosa guitar.
I love it,beautiful work.
That padauk back is absolutely gorgeous. WOW.
A round of applause for Mr. Rosa !!
That is one gorgeous guitar!! Love your bolt-on neck joke, too!
Love wood binding. So much nicer than plastic.
Jerry my friend you make it look so easy and indeed it is for you but us mere mortals have a slightly harder time , well done another great video
you made a lot of headway on this video, some really nice work. hearing this beauty just became a whole lot closer.
That is turning out to be an incredibly beautiful guitar, Jerry, and I know it is going to sound just as good as it looks.
The fastest hour on UA-cam! Beautiful Flat top Mr. Jerry.
Nice to see the binding router in action.

Every guitar build gets better. Love the fretboard markers and the bridge decorations. You're awesome Mr. Rosa....a true master.
Your binding around the arm relief look more complex, then Taylor's. Well done.
Your heavy metal neck is a show stopper Jerry..😆
I'm not a friend of the (relatively new) YT message system, but when it announces one more hour of pure, undiluted Jerry... more of that, please. Goes for Caleb, too.
I love how human can be happy with little things, like this walnut piece. I Was smiling with You☺.

Glad I had the opportunity to see and hear it in person! Great job Jerry!
Loving the new binding fixture setup!
This is starting to look the the nicest instrument you’ve ever built! I want this guitar!
Your really getting it done now.

This series confirms that I need to save up and order a custom guitar from Jerry ASAP.
... Really Looking Great! I personally have never been a big fan of the look of those armrest spots on guitars But this is one I am liking a lot... your inlay work is exceptionally nice... Very Very Nice!
The armrests of many others tent to be large and obnoxious looking.

Love the videos, sense of humor, and the ingenuity. Keep makin' 'em, and I'll keep watchin' 'em!
Jerry those fret inlays are gorgeous.
Another masterpiece! I would buy one of your guitars over any other!
Chatoyance is the word Jerry is looking for when he’s talking about lacquered grain coming to life.
Beautiful guitar mr.jerry
best teacher on instrument making in my personal opinion,,keep on keeping on

a work of art = rosa
Coming along, almost finished with my guitar! (I wish) That thing is beautiful!
Loved this one too! Heavy metal and maybe a chorus of “Steel Rails”!
It's looking great!👍😎🎸🎶
Kinda wish i had wood binding on my guitars... damn it Jerry! 🤣
Bit of angle iron maiden music then Jerry 😉 the guitar is looking fabulous 👏👏👏👏👍👍🇬🇧
Darn I wish I had said that. LOL
Progress is very fine !
Love that peduke. Pls excuse me spelin.... such a Beautiful instrument. Glenn - Australia.
Loving this latest acoustic series
Another great video. Thank you for sharing.
I love that guitar so much already - and I don't even play an instrument.
i have to agree with you about wood binding . one more little trick i use when i precut my binding tape i stick it to the guitar side so its there and ready to go
Thats ok, but it picks up more dust that way verses a really clean surface like the chrome.
Been waiti'n on this for a week........
Years ago when I worked in a retail store we had a desktop tape dispenser that cut your tape to a preset length by pushing down a lever, might be worth your time to try and find one with all the tape you use.
is there a reason not to use a two way truss rod? Beauty guitar can't wait to see and hear it completed
Mornin’ from Lubbock,Tx!!
Good evening from Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany!😀
That reject headstock veneer could be a very expensive bookmark! I install frets the same way, rather than cutting them all out first - it's reassuring you also do that.
A true artist!
The orange hair on your arm is hilarious, being part gorilla myself, that damn sawdust is attracted like a magnet! Lol!
How often do you wash your hands to keep any dirt or oils off the raw wood? Or does the sanding cover any sins?
The only thing wrong with the gluebot is when it sets up in the spout, normally easy enuf to remove tho’. I like the fret markers - different
Great video again Jerry! When are you going to turn Caleb loose on a complete build? What is the glue you are using for the binding?
I see that it's Tite-Bond, but I've never seen that neat little bottle.
Mostly Titebond Original since it is all wood. I also used some Super Phatic when I wanted a faster "tack"
Did you have to glue in the frets?
Every time i see you use padauk. I instantly want a padauk guitar. But cant seem to find them.
Are the big companies afraid to use something that's not the "standard" or is it because it is harder to work with it?
Great work on the guitar. You seem to improve every time. Even after all those years of experience.
Keep it up :)
Just imagine if Jerry built rowboats , I would would feel confident to row to China .
And you wouldn't be up the creek, without a paddle, because Jerry could make those, also.😊

Thanks for the video!

I believe they start at about $6500.
@@zapa1pnt $6500 sounds about right. Thanks!
Maybe a silly question. Does the fretboard bend at the neckjoint?
They should NOT bend
@@RosaStringWorks i really should not ask

Jerry , could you use paduck wood for the inlays in the fret board? I think , that would look better than yellow
I'm doing that presently on a mandolin build
Being that you're colorblind...I wonder if UV/blacklight would allow you to see dust, etc issues?
So how do you cut the binding slots before you got the new binding jig?
Toothpick and binding factory video: ua-cam.com/video/vh7DQZ4ukxg/v-deo.html
Definitely very similar lol
Can't wait for jerry to play this one...
How much do you charge to make another California gold?
Heavy metal bolt on neck is a new angle on the Bluegrass genre!
More specifically, a new angle iron.
I think I’ve watched more than 100 RSW videos, but I don’t mind you telling that you need full glue coverage.
Jerry, I'll bet you make fantastic submarine sandwiches.
I would like to hear you play some heavy metal 😜
What I see is a reinforcement of what I do--I do use "fish glue." Time tolerant and when dried, very secure. Smells worse than Titebond II. Thank you.

On the modern 2 way truss rods that is true. On the older truss rods they were installed like I'm installing this 1.
Is that really 430 F? How does it not burn the wood?
Yes. Probably would if left on long enough.
Didn’t he glue in the neck last episode?
What is the tape and super glue trick? 😅
You stick a piece of tape to each surface then you put super glue on the tape and stick the 2 pieces together then when you're done you Can pull them apart
@@RosaStringWorks thanks!
Perfick Perfling!
You can call it Slot and Tallon
Jerry you don't seem you happy self on this build bud still brilliant but mate
Probably just the arthritis getting to me
Any body in rosa nation that knows how to cut binding slots let me know please thanks?
