Because I LOVE cheese and onion sandwiches, I clicked on your recipe. It looks pretty tasty but different to the way I make the filling. Heaps of Tasty/Vintage cheddar cheese, as much or as little grated/finely diced red onion as suits you ( I love onion so I put LOTS in) and a decent chunk of butter. I boil the kettle then pour enough steaming water on top of the butter so it melts in to the cheese, before thoroughly incorporating everything together. Don't add too much hot water, start off with a splash or two then add more if the butter hasn't quite melted or if you'd like the mixture to be a bit wetter. Tomorrow my 7 year old grandie and I will try out your filling together....oh the joys of teaching her to cook recipes from different UA-cam channels!😊Cheers from Aotearoa New Zealand.😅
