Great job bud. I have a suggestion to make it much more silent, as well as smooth running on the rollers: - Get "conveyor rollers" from Grainger supply. Since your platform is 30" wide, I'd get the "30-inch between frame" rollers (which, realistically, you could make the frame much thinner at around 20-22" total inside width, and cut costs a little and still have enough room). These are anywhere from $15 to $40 per roller, but they are metal and have sealed bearings that they ride on and the axle can be bolted right onto the frame). This'll meme it extremely smooth, and extremely quiet. :) - To deaden sound everywhere else, sniff get it crazy quiet, go to a horse-feed store and get a small "rubber stall mat". It's ridiculously rugged rubber that can take abuse. Any joints that creak, any movement on the legs on the ground, or anywhere else any creaking noise comes from, just cut up small squares to sandwich in between the pieces you screw together and they'll act as "bushings" just like on a car chassis, and it'll remove all creaking, rubbing, and movement noises (as well as absorb shock and impact stress on the wooden joints) without compromising structural integrity. If you need any help, I can send you some links from where I got all my stuff online. It was about $60 extra for the rollers and the stall mat. But, it was such a relief to have so much of an easier rolling mill, and a Godsend for how quiet it became, hehe. (Ps: the rollers, since they're on bearings, don't have to be as large in diameter either. You can get away with 1.5" to 2" diameter rollers, and they STILL roll 10x easier than the DIY pvc kind you've made, due to way less friction and more precise machining. So, it saves a little more money too.) Another really cheap way, if you don't want to go that route, is to just order bearings that are exactly the same size to fit onto the bolts you've used. Then, you can remove the copper sleeves, still out a snug fitting hole in plsce of the copper sleeves for the bearings to fit into, and then put a second nut on the inside of the bearing so you can lock your bolt inti the bearing snugly by tightening the had of the axle-bolt and the extra nut to sandwich tighten onto the bearing. Needless to say, I've done all of the above at one time or another with all of our carprt mills, haha. Now though, we build ours out to extremely nice specs and stain them and they look super professional. All for under $150 for our largest ones. (It sure beats spending $300-$600 on "professional" carpet mills.) Any questions, feel free to ask bro!

Shaved Weiss - I use "outdoor" carpet like you'd use for an outdoor patio, because the under-tread is the range as other carpets, but the carpet fibers itself are a lot slicker/slide better. I turn the outdoor carpet inside out (the dogs paws contact the underside of the carpet, not the actual part is humans walk on normally) and then I connect the carpet into a loop by using "iron on carpet seam tape". But, there's a ton of ways to connect the carpet into itself. To attach the rollers to the wood frame, I still a hole large enough for the end of the roller hex-axle to fit into the wood. Then, I take 2-part epoxy (like loctites epoxy kit or etc) and squirt it into the hole of the wood and then set the roller axle in it until the epoxy hardens up. Once it hardens up, you've created a perfect mold for the axle to fit snuggly inside of. Then, I did the other side the same way, and presto, you have a solid mounting system for the axle. To KEEP the axle in place, I just insert the rollers first, then put on the rest of the end frames to hold the 2 side parts of the frame togrther so they can't pull apart, and that keeps the axle/roller in place.

Sorry for the late reply. I used just some regular cheap loop carpet from Lowe’s. In all honesty a conveyor belt would have worked better. I am going to switch it soon when I get back to the states.
Any suggestions on if/would this would work in the water. The closest water therapy location is about 6 hours away. I have a small dog and if I could put it in a small kids pool, it would be perfect.
Yea i think u should build another one it's not really rolling it's having resistance the wood blocks shouldn't go all the way thru the pvc that will make the rollers lighter and able to spin better and u could just used nails instead of copper to make it spin it will spin perfect just make sure everything is level and use just a lil thicker carpet so it will stay in place but u got the concept down just perfect it.... good work 👍
very sad it makes me so upset to see dogs treated like that wearing a shock collar AND a pincher collar wearing one is bad enough but then wearing both is terrible for those of you who dont know a pincher collar has long metal prongs that DIG into your dogs NECK and PINCH THERE SKIN when they pull on a leash causing PAIN and FEAR of pulling not fixing the problem just scaring them and a shock collar or a e collar has to metal prongs that sit on the neck of a dog and when ever they bark if you have it set that way if not its when you press the button on the remote that comes with it it will send a ELECTRIC shock into your dogs NECK causing PAIN and FEAR WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO CAUSE PAIN AND FEAR TO THERE DOG people have thicker skin than a dog so testing it on yourself first does no good it is pointless just dont buy it do the research and work and train your dog the write way me and my husband have to dogs we thought my dog would never be trained but we stuck with it cause i KNOW ANY DOG IS TRAINABLE he is now a service dog in training when all he wanted to do before was shit in the house everywhere destroy all my art all my bras and all are furniture but he is good now no shock collars or any other form of torture devices so just think it threw send them to classes if you have to get help but dont hurt your dogs that way guys its not fair to them

Shaved Weiss for the rollers I just drilled out 1/4” holes and inserted copper sleeves. This allows the bolts/screws to ride roll smoothly.

tiiashiie on one side I hand sewed and the other I used carpet tape. I heated it afterwards to make the tape bind to the fibers better.
