  • In this video, I make a case for the bottom two quadrants in the Eisenhower Matrix. I argue that they are just as important as the other ones to maximize your productivity and overall contribution. Watch the video to find out why. It is not just all about productivity and task management. What I propose goes totally against all the advice that time management experts give when they teach the concept of this time management matrix.
    Take it easy!
    Stay health! Stay safe!
    THANKS for watching!
    Tschuess!

I’m just learning this method and your short explanation has been incredibly helpful. I see now that the point is to prioritize in a way that leads to better balance instead of the constant pull of “needing to do”. Thanks for this!

Thank you for saying this. I have been feeling I needed to do this. I am such a hard charger.

Yeah I too had been thinking this every time someone acted like all leisure and fun activities were "not important" to the point of entirely deleting them I'm just like... Really??? People need rest/relaxation/joy/recharging

Thank you. You sound so empathetic. We need to remember to not have the money, $, measure, but also heart ❣️measurement… check our connections. I argue, ask all the time if what I’m spending my time on is making closer connections with myself or someone else?

Really great video and a refreshing new way to use a very useful tool that has been warped by time management gurus. Thanks for taking the time and effort to make this.

Balance, yes! Every quadrant is just as important. The whole point is to understand how it works and why it works. If not, we are using the matrix and still putting out hypothetical fires daily. Do you use a specific tool or app to utitilize the framework? I recently wrote a blog article on how to increase efficiency via task prioritization - zenkit.com/en/blog/eisenhower-matrix-increasing-efficiency-via-task-prioritization/ , worth a read if you were after best practice tips, advantages and disadvantages, and an introduction to a tool (Zenkit) you can use with the Eisenhower Matrix. Feedback is also greatly appreciated.

Obviously it's all subjective but I'm curious to know how exactly you allocate time to q4. Is there anything you read about that? Thanks

Just had a training on neuroplasticity. The brain needs time to process and form new connections, so you can improve skills that you might be learning or have new ideas.
