Just subbed! Great tutorial, only recently got back into emulation and Launchbox is a dream come true. If you've ever spent anytime ripping your hair out with Hyperspin in the past, you can truly appreciate Launchbox, didn't hesitate on a Bigbox full licence too. Can't believe how far emulation has come, it's saying something when games look better than on original hardware!
I feel so deterred using XEMU, as the compatibility list only list 4 or so games as “perfect”, so I wonder if there is any point in trying it, and I wish it was easier to make ISOs out of the games I own, as opposed to having to acquire them elsewhere, as I still own all my OG Xbox games.
Thank you for this video, but I have a few questions, that I deem very important, I have Windows 11, a Lenovo Legion, it came with (X-Box) already installed, so with this will I still need to install an Emulator in order to play games for fun or to be able to play these games in my job? Right now i have my X-Box game ware in the on position, should i keep it there?
It's sounds like you have xbox game pass ready as an app as all new windows carry it .this is pure emulation of the first xbox 2001 your xbox game pass has a store front if you wish to play very old xbox games then yes emulation is for you I advise starting from the bottom at having launchbox then go from there hope that helps you.... enjoy
@@davidmcgurty1691 Hello David, thank you soooo much for replying back, so will the Xbox i now have be enough to run any of the newer games, as i am trying to do gaming as an online job?
Make sure when you download covers etc you tick boxes for game info on the list if it's moved then with the mouse over near it and expand the side bar to the left or right at end of game boxes..... enjoy
Hey I just downloaded this emulator and for some reason everything time it's open my cpu temps are always around 75-80c I can run every other emulator just fine. Rpcs3, Xenia, PCSX2, Dolphin. I have a Ryzen 9 5900, Nvidia RTX 3080, and 32gb of RAM. Now it is an Alienware Aurora R14 prebuilt(I can see the hate comments now) but it does run these other fairly demanding emulators just fine, so I don't know why Xemu just spikes all my temps to hell(without a game even open)
You got me i never noticed this l have a lot of cooling on my pc .I noticed it get warm when I run switch emulators but thanks for the info I watch that from now
Hi David Another awesome video and thanks for making this. I looked at this emulator before but it did look complicated. Just a couple of questions 1: can you exit emulator with xbox 360 controller on big box 2: can you play games fullscreen to cover the whole screen. 3: do .xbe files work with the emulator as i have a mix of both .xbe and iso Thanks for making me famous Danny 😂😂🎉
As you see it stays on the top screen exit bit only way and yes do cmd path full screen now this works with iso if you stuck on a iso use a program called Quix ...... UA-cam xiso to iso enjoy bud

@@davidmcgurty1691 So, I went ahead and got DX9 ( even though I was already running DX12) I also got SDK for windows. Still having the same issues. any way to change the settings to a different drive. I moved launchbox to another portable drive and haven't found a way to change the drive designation withing the UI of XEMU. when I try to go to settings to change those system parameters it locks up.
