- I put higher voltage on more toys primarily using a 0-30V bench power supply. But some toys required even more voltage to die! I used a Variac with a full bridge rectifier (input 230V) when I needed more than 30V.
Enjoy some high voltage toys!

@@haydnplus Some toys still have their eyes covered. This is because if a video of the toy is uploaded on youtube and the toy is set to youtube kids, the video in which the toy appears is likely to be automatically set to youtube kids.

Can you somehow measure the current when it's on the variac? That would be nice.
Yeah I'm trying to find a simple display that shows volts and amps simultaneously, there are plenty cheap ones on amazon etc but they generally can't handle 300V. Next option would be just a second multimeter but that would probably look a bit cluttered...
@@Cskirt Or maybe a clamp meter. That way you don't blow multimeter fuses when something shorts badly.
