To be honest, I like the way they handled this. On my first watch, I thought Trish was written terribly in season 2, but when I rewatched the whole show, I realized it was written with a believability. Trish has always been abused by her mom, producers, drugs, and has always needed Jessica to save her. She takes self defense classes to not need Jessica as her protector and it still fails and she falls victim to Kilgrave. The only time she was able to stand up for herself and save Jessica for once was with Simpson's pills. So, she has it in her head that powers are the only way to fend for herself. She's tired of being the victim and wants to save people, but her drive and obsession takes her down a dark path. It's a story of becoming the thing you want to stop. And it's a good story idea to give to a character that was loved. I don't think it was handled all that great in season 2, but I've seen a new perspective on it. I think season 3 really drove home what Jessica and Trish mean to each other. Throughout the whole show I was felt everything Jessica felt. I was still mad at what Trish did to her mom up until she finally admitted that she was wrong and started to slowly enjoy her again the way Jessica started to regain that sister bond with her. And then I felt remorse for both of them when Dorathoy died, feeling the way Jessica felt regarding her passing. Then when it came down to taking Trish out, I was completely in Jess's mindscape of feeling sorry it had to come to this, but knowing it had to be done. When they saw each other before Trish was taken away, I think it was Trish acknowledging to Jessica that she did the right thing. I saw a small nod and smirk, as if Trish was saying not feel bad. Ironically, I'm happy the show left me feeling depressed. I meant that I grew to care for Trish again and was sad to see this outcome. Had there been a season 4, it would've been an interesting story of whether Trish was in it at all or if part of it was her seeking redemption for her crimes and how their relationship evolved. All in all, I'm pretty satisfied with how the writers wanted to tell a story of how a good person can unknowingly turn bad.
Such a beautiful video! I hated the show's ending. What made this tv show different than the rest was the fact that is based on their friendship, always choosing each other over everyone else. And the writers ruined that for us, trying to make Trish the villain when in fact she was just avenging the death of her mother and hurting bad people.
@@evermoreisamasterpiece people always say that because they don't wanna try to make the world better, it's because of most of the people that the few ones that are trying to make the world better can't do it.
I didn’t think they ruined it. Their relationship was complicated and real and needed to go through what it did. I just wish that hadn’t been the end. I hope one day they bring Jessica back and Trish along with her.
Nice video. Really... you got my feelings about this heartbreaking final episode. Well... I think the ending was really consistent with all we have seen since the first season. Trish became out of her mind, unstopable, and Jess did actualy save her..... from herself. Her greed for power were obvious since the begining so this wrap for her it's not exactly a surprise. But I think writers should have made an emotional ending for their relationship. Trish would never try to kill Jess, that was out of her picture. You can't stop loving someone so abruptly enough to be able to kill that person. Maybe if she could just drop that knife and say sorry to Jess, make the deal that Hogarth offered to her and go to a common prison. The raft? That was too much in my opinion. The helicopter scene. We saw Jess suffering for her, for what she had to do, but Trish was just there staring her as an ice stone. Really? After all the love they profered to each other and that it's was what they had left for them? Not even a remorse or sadness expression by Trish to Jess on their last meet. That's it... I finished the serie with a "missing something" feeling.
I don't think she was the most unlikely character in the show. I found her annoying in season 1 and 2. Thought she was brilliant in season 3. I also don't think Jessica and Trish are now enemies. Trish certainly not happy with Jessica but nothing permanent I don't think
I loved when they had each other's back too, but there's a history there and Trish didn't come out unscathed. How she was raised, fame, etc. Deep down Trish was always jealous of JJ's powers and when she got the opportunity to be powerful her emotions went into overdrive. I think it would be brilliant if Jessica Jones gets more seasons and Trish gets redeemed
Thanks, I hurt now. I mean I was hurting before but, ugh, dammit. This was so good, and I'm mad at Netflix, but this is awesome. Thanks for sharing with us.

Their story hurts so much but makes so much sense. Maybe it hurts so much because it makes sense. Annoyingly long essay on a 4 year old video is below but TLDR: Trish's character arc may seem sudden, but it has been building since season 1. This was always within her. And yet- she was never truly "evil" or sociopathic as much as she was unstoppable. Trish always loved Jessica, truly loved Jessica. The only time she ever harms her is when she feels she is getting in the way of her "duty". Jessica always prioritized Trish over her heroism, but Trish was addicted to "heroism" and she couldn't let anything get in the way of the greater good. yeah well if they were friends not basically sisters then yeah that'd be great. But they're sisters. hypocrisy and betrayal were precisely on Jessica’s part. Throughout the entire series, Jessica aggressively beats people, does what she wants, but when Trish punished the criminal, she turned out to be the worst villain?
So I was watching your old Shaw & Root videos when I stumbled upon your Trish & Jessica ones... I’m not sure which relationship hurts more. Root dying alone or Trish becoming the villain in Jessica’s story. Now I’m just really sad. That being said you edited every video together perfectly in an annoyingly heartbreaking way! Edited: I just found your Clarke & Lexa videos, and are you trying to destroy me?!
Trish was always jealous of Jessica. Honestly, in the first season and Defenders, she came off as creepy, to be honest. Her constant "Jessica is amazing", when conversation wasn't even about Jessica, was just weird. It was clear in season 2, that it was all about hiding her insecurity. Every abused person would never want to feel powerless again, but she did feel powerless near someone like Jess. She was beaten, used as a puppet, and pimped out to people far older than her by her own mother. Add to that drug abuse, and you have a perfect example of broken individual. I'm glad they went here, no one with that kind of past can be as perfect as she seemed in season 1.
Yerp, with cases like that, its not about beating your demons but about learning to live with them with your head held high and putting one foot in front of the other. She saw the worst parts of the World over and over, felt helpless and then as Hellcat got her powers, I mean for those who do hate Trish or at least the writing for this arc,, just ask yourselves what you would do if you'd been abused, kicked when you were down, and made to feel like shit on someone's shoe and everytime you tried to rebuild..someone broke you again..and then you got powers and the possibilities then rushed through your head, imagine that rush and what you would honestly do.
I know it'll sounds bad and there Will be people wo will insult me, but when i saw the entire show i realised that almost every problem of the show was jessica's fault so i started to hate her (Jessica, not krysten, she is a honey ❤️)
Never watched this show before. Why they didnt kiss each other? :/ Are they just friends? So why she loves her so much? :/. Shes more than a firend for her i think :/
Very close friends, so much so even that they refer to each other as sisters, its kind of like one of those rare once in a lifetime bonds that just doesn't need a label really.

long version
:
Trish and Jess have both suffered abuse, been made to feel powerless, at the hands of forces beyond their control. But their response to their traumas always conflicted. Trish grew up made to feel special and important by Dorothy. That her role in life was to change lives. In Dorothy's mind, this was just through her influence as a celebrity, to create jobs for others and uplift audiences (and really that came from a self-absorbed/ arrogant way of thinking). But Trish took it differently, Trish has always since season 1 (and really the show seems to imply since she got sober) wanted to change the world in a significant way. In season 3 it becomes more prevalent that Trish doesn't only want to be powerful and help people, she wants to be recognized for doing so. She grew up in the limelight, she likes not only the influence but the attention that her platform gives her. But it's not enough for her to be loved for what she sees as "frivolous". hypocrisy and betrayal were precisely on Jessica’s part. Throughout the entire series, Jessica aggressively beats people, does what she wants, but when Trish punished the criminal, she turned out to be the worst villain?
ok so i never watched jessica jones but now i
am
So I was watching your old Shaw & Root videos when I stumbled upon your Trish & Jessica ones...
I’m not sure which relationship hurts more. Root dying alone or Trish becoming the villain in Jessica’s story. Now I’m just really sad.
That being said you edited every video together perfectly in an annoyingly heartbreaking way!
Edited: I just found your Clarke & Lexa videos, and are you trying to destroy me?!
Ahah I see we both have a thing for doomed relationships
Thank you for watching them
Trish was always jealous of Jessica.
😭😭😭😭
There sisters?
Never watched this show before. Why they didnt kiss each other? :/ Are they just friends? So why she loves her so much? :/. Shes more than a firend for her i think :/
Very close friends, so much so even that they refer to each other as sisters, its kind of like one of those rare once in a lifetime bonds that just doesn't need a label really.
Trish always seemed selfish, arrogant and power hungry brat to me, from the beginning. Not really suprised how she turned out to be.
I though s2 ending was bad. Damn
Does anyone else get like supergirl Danvers sister vibes
Jessica and Trish sister
I AM IN PAINNNNNN GOD THEY MEAN EVERYTHING TO ME IM CRYINGGGGGG
Jessica is heterosexual or bisexual? She had relationships with men on the show, i'm in doubt because of that...
