I have this turntable, and it’s great. You’re right, it looks like some nice living room furniture, and performs like something more expensive than it’s actual cost.

I love this table, but time and again the deal breaker for me on many tables is NO AUTO LIFT OR AUTO STOP, for what these tables cost I just cant buy the minimalist excuse for not including this MUCH WANTED feature its built in and invisible in the table. My forty year old Harman Kardon T40 cost $325 and it came with auto lift and stop and the only time youre even aware it has it is when it lifts the arm at the end and stops the platter - no big noise just a click.. I should not have to buy an extra overpriced gadget just to lift the tonearm at the end when cheap ass suitcase players do it.
Nearly all audiophile grade turntables don’t have auto lift or return anymore. I am with you we need a top of the line TT with auto lift and return included! The AT VM95ML is rated for 1000 hours of playback and you can upgrade the stylus to any of the 95 offerings from AT. If you get a 2M Blue and want to upgrade to the bronze you'll need to purchase the entire cartridge not just the stylus because the bronze utilizes and different motor housing
I can't understand why so many vinyl lovers like DJ turntables. Do so many work as DJ's?
Anyone who buys this turntable should know that it has issues that have left consumers forced to send it back to AT. Mine failed after four months. Buyer beware.
Was it LP5 or LP5X? I’ve had mine 4+ years not a single issue. I wonder if you got a bad motor
@@Music-for-Miles LP5, not the X. Dropped a channel. Instructions from company were that it's a known thing, change out the cartridge and look for tracking force problems. Didn't fix the problem. Sending it back is a painful process as they won't let the retailer I bought it from send it in. I have to. I had to find a box (threw out the original as I didn't expect to send it back) and pack it.
@@timquerengesser1561 bummer!
Noone has the 5x to buy now. Sigh.
...only repentant sinners are winners.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve left records playing lol I guess the market wanted the ability to change or mod the tone arm and others say it affects performance having these on the TT. 🤷🏻♂️
You can add the Audio-Technica AT-6006R and your problem is solved :)
@@kenspo Based on what he wrote...I don't think it would. The issue is comparable to buying a luxury car that doesn't come with AC and automatic door locks standard.
