I got them off eBay - they are "gaming finger sleeves". I have also bought a few to have them in stock - I'll buy some more www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234130113426
Good to see efforts bringing people into roadbooking, I’m all for it. I do have difficulties scrolling on my devices in extreme wet weather. Is there any plan to bring in a functionality to scroll via a Bluetooth music controller?
Hi Burt. Great video to help clear a few things up! What tablet are you using? Struggling to find anything sim enabled for that sort of money at the moment
Hi Burt. Got the app working OK on the phone 👍 Do you have any sample roadbooks we could download and use? I can decide then if the phone is good enough or if I have to set up a tablet on the bike. Cheers
@@RallyMotoUK I downloaded it from your website! I have a few further questions about the app which Tony Ferrari is kindly fielding on Facebook. Cheers.
Hi, great work on the app! Just to clarify - does the app really require the device/tablet to have a sim card, or simply to be connected to internet (which can be done by creating Wi-Fi hotspot on your phone and sharing it to your tablet)? Thanks
Pity you can't just load in your own roadbook say from tulip and use for fun maybe a treasure hunt even just road based could be a good intro to using road books and maybe generate interest in rally's . Just a thought
How exciting.. I'm really keen to get involved over the next year.. this looks like a great way to dip my toe into the water 👍🏻
Awesome. The app looks great. Hope it’s a big success for you!
Thanks Mike - hope is well with you guys at RN
Hi Burt - can you let us know where you picked up the things to make the gloves work with a touchscreen?

Hi Burt, where can we download the software?

Yes, but early days yet
I bought a blue tooth volume control for $15 on Amazon and it runs the page up or down on the app from my bars just fine.

Hi, I added my spec to the web site:
rallymoto.co.uk/digital-app-specification/
I use a 2nd hand Galaxy Active 2 tablet with a cheapo GiffGaff sim... plenty of spec!
@@patrickmaloney6440 Check the Android version - needs to be 6 or above
@@RallyMotoUK Galaxy Active tab 2 supports up to Android 10 for anyone looking into it...
Now that Dakar has gone digital are paper roadbooks still considered 'proper rallying'?

Don't think our app is available for download yet.

@@garyevans5335 You may need to update to a later version of the app - instructions will be sent out.
Can you adjust the trip meter with a volume buttons? Also would it work if I would tether from my main phone to the tablet?
Current app version only has screen controls for now
Trip is not currently adjustable on volume buttons but this is the next upgrade.
Be keen to try it out at this weekend’s Cotswold ABC event 👍🏻

Yes, the app needs a SIM card for registration via SMS and also for GPS tracking - but only a minimum GB SIM card is needed as not much data is used.
Hi Burt, where can we get the finger things for the screen from ?
Do you have a link ?
Thanks
I have some - just email me. Burt
@@RallyMotoUK Will do thanks
How do I create a rodabook and how do I use this application?
Hi the app is currently only used for our events sorry.
where can i download this? as i cannot find it in the Android PlayStore
We are updating the app all the time and doing a new release just prior to events for participants - there is not a download available yet.

Can you bring landscape view to the app
Not yet but it is planned.
@@RallyMotoUK thanks for reply
Great news. Hard to believe it won't become the standard [with manual paper back-up].
I think we have a way to go before we can "race" with the RallyMoto app
