Julia's voice in Cheer Up Hearts Up has a mesmerizing contrast with the the cutesy theme but also really complements its mellow and upbeat tone. All their voices balance well together as well. Shishinpenshin has contagious energy and is very fun, and I love how it's sung kinda goofy and mostly playful but when the prechorus hits they go ham for a brief moment. Especially Reika and Arisa, their VAs sing so well in character. It's also fun hearing Chihaya and Julia sing in songs I wouldn't expect them to sing in. All the other songs are great too, these two were just my highlights. Lol just wanted to gush a bit. Idk much about music either, I just really love the Lovers Heart album. Still gotta listen to the other albums but lots of great stuff as far as I know. Bless whoever had the four suits idea🙏🙏
No you're so right! Thanks for commenting I love to hear it. I'm glad you like Cheer Up Hearts Up so much! Julia does sing so softly and it's different for her. She sounds lovely as always. And yeah I am always blown away by Arisa's VA because I didn't expect her to have such control! Reika is always great too. Chihaya being in Shishinpenshin surprised me a lot and at first I wasn't too sure about how fitting it was but she did well and it is fun to see unusual casting. I think both songs do a good job of being cohesive while also having multiple different melodies.
Among all the sub groups I like Bright Diamonds songs because they are all high energy bops and bangers. Apart from that Shamrock Vivace, Espada, King of Spade, Shin Pen Shin and Game is Love is what I listen love listening to frequently. Overall , love the on screen commentary text.
I know there's a whole bunch of them plus no MVs to go along with it but I'd like to see your rankings on the Master Sparkle2 series with everyone's solo4s (besides the og girls), lots of really great songs in there.
"Can someone explain the concept why are they rabbits?" Well, the lead is Iori, right? While not anymore, she used to carry a stuffed rabbit everywhere. She could even be made to perform with said rabbit. Or at least that is my theory.
My theory is that the reference is to Arsene Lupin the thief from the Sherlock Holmes series, but adding a pun, Lupin -> Lapin(rabbit). If you've ever watched the anime Gochiusa or Is the order a Rabbit, the reference is the same, they call it Phantom Thief Lapin (although initially it was only made for April Fool's Day, but later they included it in the anime).
Wait King of Spade would've actually been such a cool moment for Iku! I think Akane did great too but I would like to see them switched now that you mention it
Never seen anyone comment pros and cons of idolmaster music so this so funny to me

Yeah that's probably it. Maybe it's a play on cat burglars as well? And the ears do look nice on them I think Miya suits animal themes
