The only way I would ever own an e. V was if someone gave one to me. Or I won one in some sort of a contest, then I would sell it to the highest bidder as soon as possible.

I wouldn't touch a Battery Electric Vehicle with a Forty Foot Bargepole! Folks have wised up, with regard to the fact that
BEV ownership is far more stressful than that, of an Internal Combustion Engine Vehicle. Roland Singh, Canada 🇨🇦

The battery tech is destroying the used ev market. Nobody wants a pre owned ev because of its older and slower charging technology. So basically what you’re buying is an expensive massive depreciation.

The truth is, since WWII, the physical form-factor and energy density of batteries of today, have only been reduced to 1/5 of there original size (there are only so many molecules of materials available for anodes and cathodes). On the other hand, the smallest single function vacuum tube's glass envelope (the peanut tube) in 1945, will hold more than thirty billion transistors, batteries will never catch up!

Holy $hit, try driving a Semi cross-country when you are at GVW and you can only add 50gallons at a time or you will be Over Gross, so you plan on crossing the weigh station then getting fuel enough to get you past the next weigh station.

As long as the state does not plan to lower their income, they will make up for what they lose on petrol and diesel cars, they will make up in some other way. There may be some financial advantages with an electric car today, but those advantages will disappear.Socialist justice is that no one is better off, everyone should be equally worse off.

Brought to you by corrupt governments everywhere. Oil is what keeps the world running. EVs use more oil and coal than a comparable ICE vehicle. You are ignorant to believe otherwise.

  • @romdezhegu3501

It has to be said! EVs are not the answer to our problems! I see it this way: there are too many problems with EVs and a lack of information about them. It is unfair for any car buyer to pay for something like that. In my opinion, if US car manufacturers want to survive and compete in the EV market, they need to work together and not against each other. This is just the beginning, so they should collaborate to tackle issues related to technology, supply, quality, and many other aspects. They should move forward with buyers’ feedback, not political feedback, since both are totally different.

    • @ronz7046
      @ronz7046 2 місяці тому

If you could list the massive amount of problems it would be helpful! I know ICE cars are now 100% perfected with no blown engine , transmission failures, computer errors, expensive maintenance, but EVs are just getting started .

@@ronz7046 Sure! This is only my personal view1
      1. Lack of infrastructure
      2. Battery issues such as range and fire risk
      3. Software glitches
      4. A one-fits-all type of charging ports
      5. Rapid depresiation
      6. Lack of information regarding battery range
      7. Expensive battery replacements
      8. Higher cost compared to ICE vehicles
      9. Higher insurance cost
These are just a few of the problems to mention.

@@romdezhegu3501 1 Tesla has already done a great job on this and will be opening their chargers to all EVs by the end of
The year, all companies are rapidly putting in chargers because of Biden’s infrastructure bill. Circle
K as well as Shell and Sheetz are also installing chargers. Also beside all the apps they have for
Chargers ,WAZE map will point out all chargers at your location, or along your route .
2 I don’t know how many miles you drive a day, but average is 25 most EVs in recent years have 300 mile range which means plugged in every night you start out with 300 mile range every morning. The fire thing is more a negative talking point than anything , yes they are harder to put up, but other technologies are catching up such as the car blanket to starve the fire. Now the chances of a fire are rare but when there is one the news has a field day, end of the world and all. Fire stats EVs 25 per 100,000, ICE 1500 per 100,000, Hybrid 3000 per 100,000.
3 no more then ICE probably less plus most can be done over air.
4 NACS is what Tesla use and will used on almost all cars in the next coming year. CCS is the most common with everything else except for Leaf which uses the CHAdeMO.
5 Not really happening at least not compared to a high end ICE cars, they actually depreciate brand new on dealers lots.
6 believe me it’s out there if or when you become interested just google it .
7 No manufacturer has less then 8 yr warranty 100,000 miles in California they have to guarantee them for 10 years. Many Teslas out there with 400,000 miles still going strong. As more EVs get sold the aftermarket will definitely be jumping on that bandwagon.
8 you lost me on that one if you’re talking about initial purchase price EVs have reached the price point of ICE. If you’re talking about maintenance no engine oil changes, no transmission oil changes, brakes should last twice to triple as long. And once you’re done having fun with the instant torque the tires should last about the same.
9 you are right on that one but mine was minimal $50 more every 6 months compared to my wife’s same year ICE car.
