He’s so precious, Ale. A person who shows vulnerability is made of tough stuff, so good on you. When you were mentioning the sadness from DMER I wanted to give you a huge hug! I have no children but I watch anyway because you’re awesome 😎😘

Agggh that Post Partum period, when the excitement of impending delivery and meeting your little person is replaced by sleeplesness, moods, exhaustion and reality kicks in!! Im not even going to say "enjoy this time" or "take care of you" because its irrelevant when your simply existing day to day. But you are amazing, honest, and stronger than you realise. Be proud ❤

I was so glad you touched on self care. Part of being a great mom is taking care of yourself. My daughter had severe reflux. The pacifier helped with it. She would suck on it after her bottle and it would help some of her formula to stay down. Also having her sleep slightly elevated helped with the reflux at night. Please don't be hard on yourself. Weight loss and routines take time. You will get there.

You are such a sweet person. Thank you once again for being this honest and always keeping it real. I like that you have a very balanced take on it though. You do share the good and the bad, not only one or the other. You say that this helps you cope with the postpartum period but I’m sure this will help a lot of moms out there feeling less alone and feeling adequate so this is definitely a win win. I didn’t now about D-MER at all... My experience was totally the opposite, and when you read about breastfeeding and learn about it nobody tells you this exists so I can imagine how distressing it must feel when you experience that and how you might think you’re « not normal » or « going crazy » if you’ve never heard about and even your doctor doesn’t know about it. I think this is an issue that doctors definitely need to be aware of.

Pumping your breast milk is ideal for your situation and that little guy seems like he’s doing just fine! What a cutie pie 🥰 and keep in mind these tiny baby days are temporary and don’t last very long... before you know it he’ll be eating solid food and crawling around playing with his brothers. Sending love to you and your sweet family. ✨💖✨

I'm due May 2nd and had DMER with my past 2 boys. For me it was a feeling of dread, homesickness, guilt and sadness all at once. It was just during the letdown. I'm praying it doesn't happen this time around. It was such a sick feeling. It so weird because I LOVE to nurse and pump, I look forward to it so much.

Ale, I work in a pharmacy (26 long years lol) and not all Zantac (Ranitidine) was recalled. If you get in a dire pinch, there are some safe brands available to retail pharmacies. A lot of my patients have had good success with the probiotic route and chiropractic care when they want to keep medication out of their infants care (for as long as possible).

Soon my son is going to br 3weeks old. Watch Your videos when I pump for him. I don't get much every time I pump. Best I get from both is about 3oz. I am not discouraged since I started watching your videos. Some days I just add formula, I don't stress myself much. Thanks for keeping me company thru this journey. 😘

My son was on reflux medication for almost 4 months and we have just weaned him off of it. I was also ok with giving medicine, because our lives were hell without it. It was constant screaming😭I don’t like looking back at the pictures of him from back then, because it was just torture. Also, lip and tongue tie on top of all of that. No more children for me. I could not go through that again😰
    Anyways, things do get better😊
    Leo is so cute😍

I'm lactose intolerant so I've gotten a pretty good handle on moderating dairy intake, and wanted to share what works for me in hopes that you find it helpful
    1. You don't need dairy as a source of calcium. Leafy greens are an excellent source of calcium
    2. You might find that one substitute milk is better for certain uses than another (ex soy milk in your coffee and almond milk in your cereal). Try everything but don't expect them to actually taste like milk. They're not milk, it won't happen.
    3. If you're an ice cream eater, find a substitute frozen treat. I really like the fruit bars and frozen bananas are delicious if you like the creaminess
    4. Cheese was the hardest thing for me to cut, and I've largely kept it in my diet. If lactose is the thing he's reacting to, aged cheeses and yogurt with live cultures are actually naturally lactose free. If he's reacting to something else in dairy though, this doesn't help.
    5. I'm able to determine for myself the balance between what I gain from eating yummy cheese and the negative symptoms that follow. Trust your mommy senses that you can do this for your son, that you can help him manage his reflux, and that even if you eat something you shouldn't, his reflux isn't your fault.

First off Leo is gorgeous, so cute! He looks so much like George haha where Alex and Luka look way more like you, especially Alex. Second, when it comes to pacifiers I know there's a fear of dependency but what I've learned is that just like anything else they can be weaned off. It might just be his way of comforting himself and that's okay but when you're ready for him to be done with it, if he doesn't on his own a firm line can be drawn. My nephew took one until he was maybe 2 and my cousin took one until she was maybe 3 or 4, but as she got older only for sleep. But what worked in both their cases is, letting them have them for that comfort, especially at home, buy we told them, and stood firm on (because they chew on them once they have teeth), letting them know that once they had run out of pacifiers that was it, no more. It worked very well and they understood and once that last pacifier was gone it was like POOF they never even worried about it again.

If you’re thinking it’s a milk protein allergy it takes a couple of weeks for dairy to fully get out of your system once you completely cut it out. You won’t see changes very fast if it is that. Good luck with finding out the problem!!

    • @moriahm6533
      @moriahm6533 5 років тому +2

gypsyfirestorm some brands were due to the chemical supplier of the components having NDMA levels that exceeded allowed limits. Most pharmacies are alerted daily to any updated recalls and they so far haven’t been patient level recalls (I’ve worked in pharmacy for 26 yrs is why I know what’s going on)
