Hey! This one was in the works for a while, but you can finally watch it! Let us know if you'd like to see the remaining side Atlas bosses in another video of this style.
Would be great to have a video about "side content" bosses like catarina, oshabi, heist bosses, delve bosses, expedition bosses. There is a lot of viedo/info about these main ones, but if you skipped the league you have no idea what are those bosses doing/ how dangerous they are.
I clicked in the hopes of finally learning what Cortex does, I guess that guy will remain a mystery until boss video #2 that was a good quick tldr on the main ones though
As a person who did all the bosses many times, but only playing ssf and did not have the courage to go for ubers yet, would be nice to have a video for just the uber (uber) bosses. like what changes compared to the normal fight
Another tip for new players on sirus is, that his voicelines are actually directional, meaning if you play using headphones you can somewhat hear in what direction the real sirus actually is if you missed tracking his teleport. Use as a last resort only, because i would not say it's reliable.
I think it depends on your audio setup, but I find this really effective - if I can't clearly hear left or right I know he's above or below me and I can safely dodge left or right to avoid the die beam.
@@IplayTeemoasaWard no sound at all is pretty crazy. I used to listen to music in maps, but bosses? 😅 But who am I to judge; it’s massively hot here rn, so I play with sound coming out of the crappy built-in speakers of my monitor instead of wearing a gross headset. I don’t think that whole “directionality” thing won’t work for me either 😁
I would also definitely like to see guides on the other remaining Feared bosses -- Venarius and Atziri specifically, though I don't know if you want to do Chayula as well. I think the other smaller bosses would be interesting too.
@@sloesty yeah Venarius (or Cortex) is indeed part of the Feared. As is Chayula. I mentioned Chayula separately because I don't know if Ziz is planning on doing a video specifically on Breachlords.
Yes, this video style is great! Please make one for "BEST and WORST pairings for each league mechanic" New player problem: "I want to farm Breach efficiently BUT I don't want to copy paste an entire atlas tree that someone else made" Solution: Ziz gives a meta-agnostic TL:DR on which mechanics flow well together vs. which mechanics actively detract from eachother.
Great video. I really like guide content about end game stuff, especially when it’s quick. I think an video about Defensive Breakpoints or DPS Breakpoints for endgame stuff would be nice.
Cool thing about Maven is that before you defeat her she considers you to be her pet/toy. After you defeat her, she xhanges her attitude towards you to being that of treating you as a friend and champion whom she finds enjoyment in watching.
Not to be overly critical, but this feels more like a series of tips for players who have already tried these fights and are struggling to beat them. You sometimes reference things without first explaining what they actually are, which isn’t helpful for new players who haven’t seen the fight before. On infinite Hunger for example, you don’t explain what the 2nd phase is, you just mention that it’s annoying because it slows you down, and that ideally players should try to one-phase the fight. I think a general overview would be more helpful (I.e. “The goal is to find a portal which will take you back to the boss arena. You can find it by watching the goop to see which way it’s flowing, and traveling in that direction.”)
Btw, if you're flicker dont'even attempt maven without swapping gems, it's impossible to avoid the degen beams during the brain phase and they disable all recovery (including leech and stuff like aegis aurora)
for the infinite hunger, if you go inside the mud and you dont know where to go, look at the water and go in the direction it is flowing, the portal will be in that direction.
from my experience, for black star, the time between her announcing the attack and actually casting it seems to be more than enough to stack a lot of the appropriate buff to tank the entirety of the move (AA included). once the move is over, just head over to the other side and slowly remove the stacks to equalize again and prepare for the next attack. as for the pillars, i have found VERY little luck as the hitboxes feel super inconsistent (especially during astral avalanche; the pillars dont do shit) so as far as im concerned, they do nothing.
Worth noting that you're going to have VERY bad time on Searing exarch if you're golemancer, golems touch all the balls and they (the balls) explode in AoE which results in killing you. I didn't realize it was a problem with the golems and was really mad whenI dodged the balls and still died several times, I thought it was some kind of network issue or balls hitbox is just that big
Oh shit, that's probably what happened to me on my srs guardian when I tried to dodge the fire balls. My spectres probably got hit and it exploded on my face Thanks for the heads up!
Nice vid but I'm not sure if I'm wrong about this but "death will not be an escape" is for memory game and not for the big slam where you have to move off the platform. I thought "pain will be returned tenfold" was that. Please correct me if I'm wrong about that.
Yup, and death made real is the oneshot ion beam the brain fires. But she does say scurry scurry when the game begins. Death will not be an escape is when she flies to the centre.
Do not stack maven orbs where you spawn. If you die once and you stacked theme there, u are fked. If you are ranged, put them in the middle. Also turn music of so you can hear the whistle that signifies that they start following. Tracking purple balls between purple balls with purple beams is difficult.
Reminds me of the time where when you died to the clouds in sirius right at the entrance, the cloud could just sit on the door insta killing you on reentry. Ah good times.
Gotta love Maven's memory game. Especially the pattern lighting up in a color that blends into everything else. Would be a really cool boss if she didn't have tgat awful mechanic
This is so great…if you would just more clearly explain little mechanics. You rush through things like the correct clone being 1st to spawn (then highlighted the one who looked like he spawned last, and said something that sounded like “glowy hands” which I never saw even in slomo. Also you said the infamous memory game and she’ll say scurry, but didn’t actually explain it, ensuring that while the viewer will now know sorta what they have to do will likely die 2x at least trying to figure out what to watch for. Just some tips, I do know you already know you sorta book through these explanations so feel free to disregard my comment. I love your content, attitude and your wife playing was maybe one of the best videos. You two seem like really nice, genuine people. Thanks.;$
Could you explain how the bosses react to logging out during the fight - especially Exarch during the flaming ball, Maven during memory game and Eater during doom.
As far as i know they all restart on reentry. I tried skipping them with log outs but that didnt work, memory game and balls restart 100%. Never tried it during doom but i guess its the same.
The game has so much content, but what's really pisses me off is the fact how punishing this game is for trying new things... Don't know the pattern? Oh well, good luck next time when you'll get lucky to drop another fragment 🤷♂
Fighting maven is around 1 div each run. Super fun spending 4divs while still dying to the bs memory game. Wish they had versions of the bosses that are free to fight while also not dropping any loot
Well, bosses are the pinnacle content of the game. It's almost the most challenging thing the game could offer and you expect it to not be punishing? That sounds silly.
Should have watched this video before wasting my invitation and six life with eater of worlds. Another guide told to keep away from those balls or they kill me. I did, and was always killed by that blast, trying to figure out how to protect from it. Eater was in 1:3 of it's life, so without those deaths, I would have get it.

My first attempt at Sirus knocked me off the game for almost a year because I lost all my portals with nearly no progress and very little learned on a char that was otherwise doing very well. Makes souls games feel charitable. But like with souls games, the dub feels goood... And then you vendor your loot cuz it was shit.
I did Sirus quite a few times now, yesterday did 5 Uber Sirus and i can confidently say that it's by far my least favourite boss in the game. The design of the fight is just so bad, you can't move anywhere, you can't really see anything, he is constantly off screen, the whole arena is full of degens and 90% of the fight is just waiting around until you can do something.
