i've searched and searched for a good review of these glasses with prescription lenses and let me tell you, this is the most informative, real case use and entertaning video review i've seen. Awesome work!
Great question, Leo. When using them for live monitoring in the field it can be a bit annoying. OK, really annoying. But I am not using them for critical monitoring in that situation, and usually I am not all that close to the talent so I muddle through. For editing it appears to lag a little for a second and then catch up to sync. It is a bit late (certainly less than a frame off), but as I mentioned in the bit, I am using these when I am slamming through an edit. I already know everything is in sync and I am getting my edit and rough levels in place. Really, I don't notice it, but that could be me. Also, the reason I chose the TaoTronics transmitter is the listed latency with the transmitter was significantly less than most of the other devices I looked at. I think that might help things. Hope this helps you frame this as an option (oh, sorry for the pun). And thanks for watching.
@@TheStoryGuide LOL, thanks so much for the quick response. I tried a pair in the store and been trying to justify buying a pair, but your use of them for editing is making my wallet scared. My favorite aspect of them is the fact you can hear your surroundings and really don't feel distracted.
I’m a news content editor.....I’m going to try a pair?? I’m cutting on FCPX, so they should click right into place....I’m not sure if I could trust them with a long format project....but, it would give me a break on regular headsets
Good question and certainly a good option. I had a pair I used for years. The fact of that matter is folks will use whatever works best and is the most comfortable for them. For me, and this is a personal choice, I am putting on headphones when I want to block out environmental sound for critical audio monitoring. But for much of my work, having something like frames or open back headphones or, best of all, my studio monitors is less fatiguing and helps me concentrate on getting my work done The bottom line... use what works best for you. Thanks for watching .

Great, now you can do exactly the same as me with my hearing aids, which are connected via bluetooth to my computer ;-)
Woof!!
What about open back headphones ?
