- Heres a review on my thought's and finding's on my tbt drop in tune kit...
Should you wish to purchase a tune kit for your rifle then please go to the tbt website called www.airrifletuning.com or alternatively run a search in ebay for your rifle name and tbt drop in kit ;)
Ive liaised with Nick a number of times and he is one of the nicest most honest and helpfull guys you could ever meet.... buy with confidence...
Dave
Your manner is realy nice and makes me proud to be British, keep up the good work
Thank you very much Daz.
Thats very nice of you to say.
I really appreciate your comment.
I shall do my very best 👍
What a nice comment.
I agree.
Fitted one of these kits in a new 177 hw99s and cleaned all the factory grease out and lubed with the supplied moly grease. Its made a massive improvement , less recoil, quieter, I am getting pretty much pellet on pellet at 25m. Still to try up to 50m but am confident it will do well.
There definitely worth the money imo 👍🤓
Glad to hear your happy with yours 👍👍
I've fitted Nick's short stroke and guide kits in my four rifles. Along with the usual home fettle , these kits have been transformative.
Yea i had a great experience with mine.
Still going strong to this day :)
Thanks for watching a commenting 👍👍
I've ordered a pro kit for my HW98 should be here by the weekend. I phoned Nick Stanning and he was really helpful and great service. If I get stuck he said he will be on the phone the over end to help me in any way he can. Highly recommended. This is a great video, my friend. Keep up the good work.
I think Air Arms made a big mistake when they increased the piston stroke on the TX200 and Prosport rifles. These were at one time the very best in spring powered performance and were extremely accurate and could easily go head to head with anything precharged. Then, I suppose in a quest to satisfy the Amercan market, they changed a once superb sub 12 ft lbs air rifle into a lazy firing detuned rifle for the UK market. Even HW did a similar thing with the HW77 and 97 models but instead of a longer piston stroke an increase in cylinder diameter by 1mm was all they did.
Your rifle doesn't sound right and I think a tighter fitting spring guide would remove the twang.
Thank you for sharing your experience of the TBT tuning kit.
Im dont know much about what your saying with the markets etc etc, but i do know you're not the first person to comment on the sound of my old rifle...
I recently sold it as it never got used anymore.
But i think that was the problem, in the 7 years i owned that rifle i dont think it ever fired more than a 1000 shots.
It was hardly ever bedded in and then i stuck a drop in kit in it...
Oh well as they say.
And if truth be told, the dam thing was far far to heavy to use on a regular, used to get such savage back ache when ever i used it.
Which is half the reason i sold it and kept my 99s
Lifes to short to live with constant back ache.
Many thanks for watching fella and taking the time to comment ;)
Stay safe 🙏
@@airriflesuk5997 Nothing wrong with a 99s. They are nice and lightweight and well made and like anything Weihrauch make they are accurate. I personally have never owned a 99s but my nephew had one. It was a no frills but excellent little rifle. I've heard they struggle to make near legal limit power in .177 cal but in .22 they are pretty much optimised for our sub 12 ft lbs law. Thank you for your reply and I hope you have said goodbye to your back ache.
Let the good folk know to polish your piston and air cylinder before fitting . A tuning kit is only as good as your pre preperation .. to really notice the difference 😁
Well said chap.
That is very true 👍
That turret test just dropped my jaw !! I'm very impressed !!! I shoot mainly an AA s400 but own a few springers too, with kits like that on the market it's going to put the cat among the pigeons down at the range, great stuff
Yeah it did mine and all lol
I think it shows in the vid :P
Welsh Willy was on the tip of his tongue yesterday 😂
Your the only person whos ever picked up on that blooper 😂😂😂
Hello! Is it Sportsmatch HOP26C 1 Piece Double Clamp 1" Mount. I also have a TX200 HC with BKL double strap, but the recoil changes my zero I think. So I would like a scopemount that you have. Did you install the recoilpin? Cheers from Sweden.
Hello Klaaesson.
No these mounts were made by hawke.
They are the 25mm 1 piece high mounts.
They also come with a rester pin, and yes it is fitted i to the tx 👍
Interesting kit is it fac or just 12ft/lb? I looked it up on EBay. I live in FL USA
Just 12 ft/lbs fella 👌
Top video 👍👍
Just done mine and the difference is amazing.
Thanks for taking the time to comment over a few vids fella.
Its Nick at tbt tuning who deserves all the credit for this 1 tho.
All i did was fit the kit and nic his videos for my channel (with consent btw).
Its why i often wont comment on the vids with him in as he also has the same vids up on his own youtube channel.
Treading on toes an all that lol.
But either way thanks again for watching fella.
Great name btw 🤓
TBT kits inc. short stokes TRANSFORM rifles. It's amazing. Plus his personal help service is amazing and is free. He's one of the most kind, genuine persons ive ever had the privaledge of dealing with. I have TBT kits and short strokes in my HW95 and my Pro sport. I recommend TBT, both the company and the products, without hesitation.
Good review and I was going to hang on and try my first basic clean, tune and add a teflon sleeve first to see how that helped but I may awell get the kit and add that at the same time
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment 🙏
Is not a tuning kit is a replacement kit in order to tune this rifles you have to polish the aer chamber and spring guide tight fit the spring in the guide
Good video pal .. i did like it
Is there a full tbt full drop in kit for bsa lightning xl
You need to fit a piston sleeve to get rid of the twang
My tx200hc doesn't twang.
Hasn't been 'tuned' 🙄
Can you give me advice?
My tx200hc is so loud & neighbours called police. Do you know anyone that can tune it and make it super quiet? I live in london
Will try my best, theres a tunning company called The Rat Works, you can find them on facebook and or online with www.ratworks.com
But you could also perhaps benifit from a sound moderator (silencer)
Good luck with the neighbors 🙏
Hi mate can you please help me fit a vmach kit to my hw97 k
I could try !?
What seems to be the problem fella ??
@@airriflesuk5997 hi buddy thankyou for getting bk to me I just needed help putting in a spring to take it bk up to legal limit it’s lagging for some reason
The old pellet on the turret trick . My long stroke 97k with the titan spring inside shunting 1000 + fps can shoot without the 177 pellet falling from the turret , i have tried the two also also worked .. three not so well ..
I love watching blokes in cammo talking....
Lol im not too sure how to respond to this...
Im guna go with "im glad you enjoyed the vid, many thanks for watching" 😇
"Before fitting the kit there was a twang but after fitting the kit there is no twang" fires gun and horrible TWANG is heard PMSL 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Look, i was young and really enthusiastic man...
Any road, i immediately reiterated and said "well there is a twang, but its more of a duller thump now.
And yes it did sound funny looking back, but to be fair the rifle had hardly been bedded in at that point and still needed some decent lead through it.
Many thanks for watching i guess lol.
If it’s a tbt kit u fitted it wrong as I have a tbt kit in my hw95k there’s no twang just a nice thud
@@chrisedwards487 Agreed. Just fitted one in my Prosport, full export power because I'm not in the UK, and it's incredible, it just goes thud now and there is less recoil, no vibration and it has more velocity. Before it just made a horrible buzzing sound.
nice job m8 . great vid . 4 some reason i do not get ntifications .
Not sure why that is fella.
I hope you have managed to sort it now ?
Sorry for the very late response... lol i was not notified of your comment either 👎
is a replacement kit not a tuning kit the rifle don't get tune just by replace the parts
Whats your question ?
No question, just a silly statement from one of many who think that striping a gun, cleaning/polishing the internals, fitting upgraded parts and reassembling with the correct lubrication is not 'tuning', oh no, you've got to alter the piston, drill the stock to add lead and alter the balance, replaced the trigger, barrel, compression cylinder and breech then coat everything in magic Pixie dust before its been 'properly' tuned. ;)
Maybe it's my impaired hearing but the reverberation on the sound makes it impossible to follow.
v8pilot follow what ?
follow what the speaker is saying.
Oh i see.
Sorry.
At the time i had a poor quality camera 👎
It is still twanging? At the very least the 'tuning kit' should eliminate that. The rear guide is clearly a poor fit... When I machine my own drop in kits I always ensure that the guides are a push fit (not too tight and not too loose), this guarantees a twang free rifle, more consistency and sweeter cocking. I would be more than happy to supply one at no cost to make a video about...?
Yup most of these 'tuning' companies are rubbish. I bought a £60 kit from Welsh Willy and it was a pile of junk. The HW95 twanged more after it was fitted than the stock parts. The spring was still rough at the ends and had scratched the delrin guide. The spring guide was shorter than the stock spring guide and was a loose fit on the spring once the rough end of the spring had been deburred and polished. So i sent it back for a replacement at my cost and got a new spring guide that was still as loose. Absolute waste of time and I ended up having to get someone on a forum to machine me up a new guide.
Contact me on facebook and we can set something up ;)
My name is Dan Burnapp
That gun doesn't sound right, shouldn't be that noisy, especially with the kit in it
Trick is to order the TBT kits that have springs included. Nick test fits the guide before sending them. If you purchase without a spring, you have no way of knowing whether it will fit your spring, because there are lots of different springs around even with the stock springs in the same model.
Im not surprised at all, that tbt kit is a piece of junk. You hear twang all the time man....you cant be serious dude..
you are never going to get rid of all of the twang from a springer
The spring guide isn't fitting the spring snug enough. I fitted one of these kits in my Prosport and the difference is incredible. There's absolutely no twang at all, just a dull thud, and velocity has increased, even though I swapped out the export power spring for another export power spring.
This was dislike d because of the poor audio
Thanks for your input
Andrew your comment was disliked for your pure stupidity
