There are three stages of knowing amino acid structures:
Undergrads: Creating flash cards and memorising them.
PhD students: Printing them and sticking them to the wall of the lab.
Lecturers: Getting the undergrad students to draw them for you as a test.

+Shashank Katiyar God dam...I am so not going to a pure biology lab. So glad I've studied chemistry instead of biology. For keeners, fourier transform is a mathematical transformation that one should learn him/herself. The theory came before any application. It was pure mathematics

@@YoAddicts Fourier transform is actually used in signal conditioning in electrical engineering, particularly for frequency modulation and the production of complex harmonic signals from more basic ones.

Anyone who has mis-balanced a centrifuge knows that it is one of the scarier things you can do, owing to the cost of the machine.

Luckily, most high-speed centrifuges I know won't exceed 3000 RPM if misbalanced. Cause a misbalanced high-speed centrifuge at 200,000 g is definitely not funny

OMG students that find irrelevant stuff to obsess over... You guys nailed it. I TA for Freshman Physics.. I get asked all the time crap about general relativity and dark matter because the professor talked about it for a sentence or two. I'm like, "Why do you worry about Newton's Second Law for now? Since everyone just about failed that test..."

CrushOfSiel They’re asking you because they’re genuinely interested. You sound like such a prick. They’re going to you with this “crap” because the professor doesn’t want to talk to them. They’re forming an interest and relating their interest with physics. If you were a TA who actually earned their money, you’d get that. Your attitude sucks and reveals your immaturity; I’m sure that your professors didn’t treat you that way when you were first learning and asking questions.
