"But Sir EVERYONE and their mother will hate us!" "But I like the little jade balls dangling on the cap!" Yuan Shu, before dying in some temple asking for honey water
The Yuan Proxy Wars, a product of selfish strife, vendettas, and broken plans festered in the Guandong Coalition. An untold series of events that decimated notable career officers and sustained ambitious warlords, regents, and kings. Yuan Shu's initial powerbase in Nanyang had the links between the West to the East, and the North to the South. Unfortunately, Yuan Gonglu lacked the wits to imitate Han Guangwudi and his very existence costed him his treasonous dreams. Thus, Yuan Shu is the epic meme of his noble lineage, and in part was also partly the cause of the demise of his prestigious and fatuous brother.
Were there feudal fief states during the end of the Han Dynasty? Like the kingdom/principality of Beihai where Kong Rong was a chancellor. Did the Liu princes held any administrative ability in their states or did they only draw from the taxes of their given fief

Hey! So these are really great. I was wondering though when you get to Yaun Shoa will you go more into depth about how he came into conflict with Cao Cao and how the battle of Guangdu played out?
sort of. Yuan Shao's lore series will be broken down into three parts. The first is how Yuan Shao rose to power. Then we will do a separate Guandu lore series before finishing with a Son of Yuan Shao one

Great video my friend and I enjoyed it, however I wish there is an explanation for the Titles and Ranks given in this era, sometimes its confusing to understand like for example what the difference between an Administrator, Governor and Prefect?
Check out the Liu Yan lore series about how governors came about. But essentially the land is subdivided into province, commandery, and county which are governed by prefect, administrators, and mayors. Governor was created as a more powerful version of the prefect with military command.
I'm just curious do you have any idea why Wang Ping is not included in total war and dynasty warrior? Like in the tv shows he seemed to play some important roles during zhuge liang northern expedition or was he just a regular general in history?
I think Wang Ping is fairly important in the later stages for Shu but the issue with video games is that with Shu you have to make their OG characters. Then when you move into the second generation, you end up focused on those OG's kids because people can relate to them easier. At this point, there isn't that many roster spots left to make people like Wang Ping or Zhang Yi

Always fun how frequently history revolves around childish grudges, petty jealousy and so on.
Imagine feasting so undauntedly in the face of your opponent that you cause the enemy to retreat at the sight of it. Thanks for the video.
Wow, Xu Rong was quite a badass.
You know what would be fun? A what-if video about "what if Sun Jian had accepted Dong Zhou's offer"
Or Yuan Shu.
