- Thought id get a video up of the parts needed and the process behind getting the LCI Xenons installed into a halogen car.
If youre looking to go from Halogen to non-adaptive LCI Xenon all the parts are below. If youd like to do it the OEM route like i did then the parts required are :
Valeo 44617 : LCI Xenon Right
Valeo 44616 : LCI Xenon Left
Xenon control unit x 2 : www.hids-direc...
FRM3 Max Keuster Footwell module : eBay
Level sensor parts from BMW, the control arms needed to level the headlights that go onto the front and rear of the car (Part numbers are at the end of the video)
D1S Bulbs : www.amazon.co....
H8 Angel eye Bulbs : www.hids-direc...
Adaptive level sensor Wiring Loom (this may be hard to get hold of however any xenon E82 will have them so could contact scrap yards, also pop up on ebay from time to time)
There is another way to do this where you need the lights, control units, and i believe the footwell module so you dont need all of the above to get working LCI xenons, i just wanted all the features also. Information for this and going from Xenon to LCI xenon can be found on the 1 series forums on google.
Hope this helps, if you have any questions let me know in the comments!
Appreciate any subscribes and likes!
Appreciate the detailed breakdown you earned a sub from across the pond 🤝
really appreciate that buddy! Glad it helped in some way haha!
First, really like your voice and accent 😄
Second, your FRM looks so new!
And I feel l waste a lot money when I see your last price list 😩
Anyway I still got nice end. I should say thanks again for all your help.
Tbh , your lights are sick 🔥🔥🔥

and no problem at all, always happy to help where i can mate! Appreciate yo uwatching and commenting as always!
another amazing video! love it
Thank you mewgs x
This is a great video, but I really really wish the coding and all the specifics on installing the frm were in it as well!! Soooo many people want to do this exact same thing
I appreciate that buddy!
Id have loved to have been able to include that too, and i did ask if i could potentially speak to him on video in regards to what he did or if he could video some of the procedure for me, however he said that he didnt want the process of his work to be online unfortunately. Which i do understand, it just would have been great as i know this is extremely popular with the E82's.
Sorry about that buddy! But i do really appreciate the compliment for the video and the feedback done politely, thank you
Mint can see the 1M in vid too lol can’t wait to come collect it 😊
nice! love your intro too
Appreciate that brother!
My M sport already had them 😀
Thats not surprising considering it was a factory option..
Also none M sport / M sport doesnt effect whether it would have xenons. Nor does the model, so im not sure what your 'M sport' is but it will have just been an option chosen from factory 🙂
ooooooo xenonononononon
LCI XENONONNOONON BUTT
Turned out great! What did you end up doing with your old custom headlights after the new ones were installed?
Thanks buddy! They’re getting checked over to make sure everything is in 10/10 condition and then I’m going to be selling them mate!
@@jackse82 ok, just let me know when they are fully checked out, i might be interested in them. You can reach me on instagram at @madshagberg
@@madshagberg5287 Sure no problem, theyve only been in for around 3-4 months or so, so they should be absolutely fine just wanted to go the extra step for anyone interested. Ill pop you a message over soon
Why would go back to old oem look? I prefer that it looks like a g series headlight
For that exact reason.
Its an E series, not a G series and the OEM xenons suit the lines, curves and era of the E82 much better than Hex angel eyes.
Plus the OEM xenon look amazing with the 1M wide body in my opinion!
Hi there! I have a US-Spec E82 128i, and I'm trying to retrofit Pre-LCI xenons in place of my current Pre-LCI halogens.
Do you know if the MAX Kuester, MAX Brose, XE, or AHL version of the FRM3 will work? Please, any info would help.
Max Keuster should work buddy as i believe that covers everything when it comes to LCi and pre LCi, but you may need to check.
Mines an LCI and i used the Max Keuster footwell module, butr like i say i believe this can be used for both.
Theres a few people that have done this conversion without changing the footwell module, however i just wanted it to be done exactly like OEM so that i knew everything was done the correct way preventing any future issues with it all.
@@jackse82 thanks so much man!
Will you be selling the headlights you had on your car?
I will be yes mate, theyre going back to the shop that made them, just to make sure everything is perfect for me to sell on. Only had them in around 3-4 months or so. Message me on insta if you like Jxcks_E82
You forgot the xenon water cleaning in the bumper
im not doing the washers as i prefer the smooth look.
Its a big debate whether they need to be there or not, however headlight washers are useless, and i clean my car often so they wouldn't do much or benefit me anyway.
Some people do and some people dont!
@@jackse82 you need it to drive the car. Otherwise you won’t geht a permit
@@gudelauneee im from the UK buddy. MOT test centres over here are alot more lenient with little things like that. Headlight washers dont do anything other than spray water at the lens and make a mess. My car gets cleaned once a week almost. So it isnt really a big problem over here.
@@jackse82 lol
@@gudelauneee we had the debate over on E82 FAM on facebook, points from each side haha! more than welcome to join that group and go and have a look brother!
Where did you go, name and address ❤please, do I can call the guy 😎
Company called Jay Retrofits in London where the ones that fit and coded the headlights. I believe i mention it in the video. But yeah ^ you can find them searching on google and facebook i believe.
