    I appreciate your willingness to share your expertise with the masses. Clear and concise with no "fluff," because let's be honest, we all really just want to get to the sewing machine as quickly as we can before forgetting all the steps. 😅

    This is the best tutorial I've found for mitered corners - thank you. Is there a way to add them to a base that can't be folded? I want to add a border to a mouse pad - but since the rubberized material can't be folded this technique doesn't quite work.

    Do you have any tips for working with black materials and mitering corners? I'm sewing black borders on t-shirts (like a picture frame) but can't seem to mark the 1/4 inch area on the black fabric. Any hints?

    • @DebTuckersStudio180Design
      @DebTuckersStudio180Design  Рік тому

      Try sewing with the t-shirt on top. Even though it is a bit trickier it can be a bit easier to see. If that doesn't work consider setting up a tape guide as I mention in the video Perfecting your 1/4" seam and then you can hold both fabrics against that as you sew.

    Hi Deb could you demonstrate how to do picket fence on both short sides of a unit with the wing clipper. (opposite sides not like a flying geese) thank you

    • @DebTuckersStudio180Design
      @DebTuckersStudio180Design  3 роки тому +1

      Hmm, while it could be done with the wing clipper, I'd probably use the Corner Pop for making that style of unit.

    QUESTION - Can you miter a rectangle or other shapes?

    • @DebTuckersStudio180Design
      @DebTuckersStudio180Design  3 роки тому +1

      Certainly, but you won't be mitering at a 45° angle. The angle will depend on the shape you're working with.
