bought a 34 ford kit from CMC back in the 80s. they went out of business and i never got my car. deal is, i was so wanting to chop the top on it. i was going to go moderate like you describe it. I never got to do it. So id love to watch you do it.
@@WiredCustomsSpeedShop no i never did. after a few years they offered a deposit on another kit based off the same molds but different company name. it had been so long by then, i had moved on to another dream.
Dont forget to reinforce the pillars, round stock slid inside the top and bottom with rosettes is a good way to do it. Especially with it being raced, if that thing rolls over your fixing dents and not his head
@@WiredCustomsSpeedShop figured you would, ive seen some guys who dont and treat it like its just cosmetic. Better safe than sorry and tell you something you already know! Love the channel
@@tradrodsandcustoms thank you! I appreciate the good intentions on your advice, especially when I’ve been getting non stop hate mail for a couple weeks over chopping this car haba
Everyone has different tastes, this way the car is back on the road being enjoyed, the only halfwits is someone thinking there is only way way a car should be
Lots of cars get restored. Only so many museum pieces needed.... a restoration car has its factory fenders, running boards, EVERYTHING. Cars like this are perfect to be customized and rodded.
@@tradrodsandcustoms good point Oliver, how you see the car is all we have for it, most guys couldn’t afford to get all the pieces missing, this way the car gets back on the road sooner and affordable
Can't wait! Thanks so much for sharing the information and knowledge of classic techniques used to build these traditional hot rods.
No problem thank you!
Can't wait! No rust was harmed in the making of this chop video! This is Murica Appruvd!
Great idea. Not sure I'll be able to watch it live, but I hope to.
It will be posted to Rod and Style channel afterwards as well
