Good idea. Except you dont say what was the white stuff you sprinkled on the kitchen scraps prior to putting back the soil on it.??? Its important to list every item you used and the steps in order to be very helpful, if that is your goal.

I was worry about watering the plants and making sure to keep them nicely hydrated, because I know I will be busy from time to time and this is a brilliant idea! Thank you for sharing the process! For those wondering what the white stuff added to the compost is it is most likely lime. Lime can raise the pH making it less acidic. There are different schools of thought on whether this is necessary or not. I personally don't think it is, but I'm just a casual gardener so I may be wrong. It may help keep critters from digging up the scraps, though.

I believe lime helps with decomposition.
I was thinking my neighbors cat would be digging up those fish,unless the lime takes away the fishy smell! I don't know!

Contains magnesium and calcium (replacement for bone meal) also a very basic P and K

Lots of people use fish heads or fish emulsion( fish poo) but most people put it in the soil under the plant at time of planting.

Did this for a few years now works good . I use a cattle panel with 4 plants in 5 gallon buckets at corners. Did 6 first year. Plants were crowded.

Please add more details on description of the things you used and such.. very cool garden! I'd love to do better with just my current (1st) 2 plants!
My friend see that they are using regular clear plastic cups that are standard size as well as you could use any corrugated material about approximately 6 in tall according to the video without any description but an estimate in a square size of your own dimensional wanting along with some soil added mixed in with the Earth soil. Simply drawing the seats first to know that you have the plant growing then you transplant your little guarding that has been built up from this video clear instructions without words.
The construction of any device is first in the mind then in front of us but first within us so construct anything you want.
If you wish to change the speed of the video up in the right hand corner is a gear sign icon that you can click on then you go to playback speed and make it lower so it goes slower.

Огурцы нужно собирать молодыми, они тогда сочные и нежные. А вы собрали поздно, огурцы переросли, в них уже жёсткие семена. Если вы будете собирать их молоденькими, то у вас нарастет ещё больше огурцов.

Use Biet Alpha cucumbers. Self pollinating, they produce the most perfect cucumbers I've EVER grown and I've been doing this for a loooong time.

dude, OPEN your mind. NOBODY has the perfect design yet. Take what you see and translate it to your personal space with available parts.
Lets see if I can help you figure out what you need thats close to the vid.
Keep in mind I only seen like 5 seconds or so.
1). Plastic everyday bottles
2). Looked like an air gap of some sort(shouldnt be too hard to find small plastic bottles, something from the kitchen, kids toys? A plaastic straw would probably work if you used a clothes pin or "C" clamp to pinch off the line to make it drip or flow!)
3). A pump unless your water tank is above your plants.
4). String
5). Pots
6). Pot, or herb, or better yet CUCUMBER seeds🎂

I have a simply cucumber plant growing in a pot and all it has as support is tomato cage sitting right next to it. So far only 1 plant but, I sure can use your idea if I go multiple. Your Newbie.
