Angemon and Angewomon were my favorite digimon (design) during my childhood. Angewomon was my anime crush/waifu when I was a kid compared to my friends who had a crush on Misty from Pokemon.
I like Stingmon more than Paildramon. Paildramon is kinda messy and too humanoid for me. Stingmon is humanoid too but looks much more uniform and sleek.
Regarding X designs, as much as I dislike most of them for the same reasons you said, there are some good ones. Leomon, and Tyranomon come to mind. Maybe a list of them could be a fun thing to see what fans think.
It really is a shame that Digimon seems to have peaked relatively early. None of these that were from the anime were from after season 3 I don't believe, which sucks because Digimon is so awesome. At least the newest season seems to have finally gotten back on track with good designs even if from what I've watched so far everything else is kind of lacking.
My favorite would be Antylamon/Andiramon. I think it's kind of cool how a cute big bunny rabbit can look both so creepy at times but also friendly at others. The whole Lopmon evolution line is good and their malleable moral code is an interesting gimmick.
Genuinely surprised Omnimon didn’t make the list… and I don’t even like Omnimon! He’s just so dang popular that I figured he was guaranteed to make the list.
Surprising not to see Wargreymon #1 as everyone said its their favorite digimon and never heard someone liked Machinedramon that much😂 Renamon and Gallantmon only making honorable mention also pretty surprising

I don't necessarily agree with this completely. While it is true that a lot of the more "classic" designs are fan favorites overall, even if due in part to nostalgia, that's going to be true for many series, as fans have a greater attachment to something they experienced first. Having said that, I feel that the X Antibody designs not being as well loved has more to do with them being more busy and overdesigned in a lot of cases
I prefer the Devimon line to the Angels. Including Skullsatamon and Daemon. Shame Adventure had such a Darkness = Evil bias. Also Plutomon. I would have thought Survive would have boosted its popularity.
No my favorite Digimon wasn't on this list and I'm thinking about unsubscribing and leaving the Digimon fandom all jokes aside now but I'm surprised Leo man wasn't on this one even though I prefer boncho Leo mine of love my favorite be just small in the final version of veemon and warm on a form together sorry I don't know the name but they formed that to beat The Last Enemy in their generation
When i have Time enough in Vacation i need to make a List of my own Favorite Digimon Designs as well Pokemon Designs. And a List of my favorite Digimon Lore and which i think are the strongest or dangerous Digimon out there. There are too many good Designs in Digimon because they have many Details. But i must say that Mugendramon is on the first Place makes me very happy because i think its one of the Best Designs and i love mechanical Dragons pretty much. Mugendramon always is one of the Digimons i would put in my Digivice. I also would wish we get Digimon Lego because Mugendramon as Lego would be epic.

I would pick Beelzemon Blast Mode because of Impmon's story arc and how he went from a bad guy to a hero and Blast Mode is the conclusion to that arc.

There was some surprises on the results but overall they're good and interesting
The biggest surprise imo is the lack of Terriermon or Lopmon, those two are top tier designs.

I was hoping that Mugendramon got the n.1. But I was also hoping that Chaosdramon gets n.1.

Shinegreymon Burst Mode, I love designs that are striking, with colours that both stand out from each and low amount of colours.

I feel like Stingmon is very underrated. His design isn't over the top but look really sleek and cool for a humanoid type digimon.

It seems to me that the X designs get hate from fans who only like the original shows. Just like people who only like G1 Transformers.
