    I had these on my Mini Cooper and loved everything about them; durable and really nice looking.

      I don't think I've ever come across someone who didn't like them! I will be putting them in my new daily driver truck as well.

      Hey quick question I’m buying some for my mini cooper as well but am not sure what type of nearest mini coopers have? Also do you know if they have the hole cut outs for the back of the sets where you can fold the seat down?

    Thank you! Do they get hot in the summer? Agree about the leather, mine sucks in my 2017 Subaru Limited.

      I don't feel that they do, I'm used to cloth seats though so take that as you may. But we see many days of over 90° plus here in North Carolina and I don't think it is any different than when I lived back in Massachusetts and would drive with them. They definitely are not hot to sit on if that's what you mean.

      @@3VJohnny Yeah, like my back gets hot here in Virginia with perforated leather, and the crap fake leather the new Subaru's use. These look good. Thanks

    It’s “wet oh-co-lay” not wet Oakley. Okole in Hawaiian is BUTT these seat covers where first started in Hawaii for people like surfers, and the rest is history.

    It’s pronounced o ko lay, it’s Hawaiian for Butt.

      Hilarious, for over a decade I've called them completely the wrong name lol. That's awkward

    We ordered neoprene seat covers for our solar yellow 2003 Toyota MR2 Spyder with a yellow inside color. The yellow was very vibrant when the covers were received but started fading in less than a year. The car is garage kept and only in the sun on nice days when the top is down. At one year later, the yellow portion of the cover is completely faded. I would not purchase this product again. I did contact the company and their response was "I apologize for the inconvenience."

      Were they neo supreme covers? Or were they actual wet Oakele covers?

    How do these respond to spills and such? Do they stain easily or can you clean them up easily?

    • @3VJohnny
      @3VJohnny  Рік тому

      I would say yes, but I don't drink anything much other than water in the vehicles so I don't have experience with spills. I have been damp and there's been no issues once everything dries but that's the extend of it. It's legit wet suit material so likely no issues within reason.

    What was the item number from them on the Mustang seat covers? Looking at a set want to make sure they will fit my 2006 mustang

    • @3VJohnny
      @3VJohnny  2 роки тому

      No specific part number. You use the configurator on Wet okeles website or on a dealer like Auto anything. These are truly custom made...not cookie cutter like most manufacturers. I ordered September 2021 and did not receive them until March 2022.

    Neoprene is a good material. As a diver I can tell you a wet suit is just that. You will get wet but stay warm. A dry suit is for staying dry. It’s is water resistant but not truly water proof. I am looking to order them also but am concerned about how hot they will feel since they do not ventilate to well.

      I have been very happy with them and I now have a set in my 2007 Mustang GT and I'm thrilled once again. It gets very hot here in North Carolina for a good chunk of the year and I don't have any issues with them with heat. When it's 90-100*, I'm sweating anyways haha

    The material and construction are very good. Installation in a 2013 Hyundai Sonata with electric driver seat is a bear! You have to practicably be a rhesus monkey to get the job done. THIS IS A TWO MAN OPERATION as one person has to thread the straps over/under all the seat parts with the other person groping for the snaps on the other side, all while you move the seat back and forth to get enough room to reach. The side straps HAVE TO GO UNDER the slide rails which means the straps slide back and forth along the bottom of the rails when the seat is moved. Unfortunately the rails have PROTRUDING BOLT HEADS underneath that will grab the straps as you move the seat forward and will rip them from the seat cushion if you move the seat too far forward. You literally have to pull the straps down over the bolt heads (by hand) to keep them from tearing off the cushion. The manually adjustable passenger seat is about half as hard but still not easy. Also, the bottom edge of the lower seat cushion CANNOT be tucked underneath the plastic base of the seat. It simply folds down overtop the base and lays there just like that. I considered purchasing another set for another car, but after all this work I decided against it. CAN'T IMAGING TAKING IT OFF TO CLEAN IT AND HAVING TO REINSTALL. And BTW, don't depend on any of their installation videos - just make sure you install the bottom cushion first.
