Besides taking care of the patient you must now learn to navigate the NASA dashboard they call EPIC. Glorified billing platform with some patient care tacked on. Our hospital just went live and my job satisfaction has plummeted. Then when you notice a problem they want you to spend your time participating in reconfiguring it. Like working as a healthcare clinician isn't enough of a job in itself. Job satisfaction of the clinicians should be primary. But now we are reduced to box clicking automatons. Endless pop-ups that might as well be written in Chinese also add to the experience. One of our physicians walked out this past weekend because of how terrible the usability is. We got a bargain basement version apparently.
We totally get it .. Epic sometimes feels overwhelming especially when your focus shifts from patient care to navigating the system. we hope the experience gets better soon. Hang in there! 🙂
@@UA-camnurse but why do they make it so hard to use? The nursing care plan is ridiculous and also useless. Totally confusing the system is not intuitive whatsoever. Why doesn't clinician satisfaction matter?
@formerfundienowfree4235 It’s understandable that EPIC feels challenging sometimes and requires more practice. We hope that in the future, there will be more focus on clinician satisfaction. Our videos are designed to make your learning proccess easier . Keep at it, and we hope the process becomes smoother for you.🙏
@@UA-camnursethe problem with this system is that to solve a functional problem or to improve the system it requires more functions for the clinician to perform and more overload of pop ups. It is ridiculous. This system was clearly made by tech crazy people who know nothing about what PATIENT CARE actually means. My facility is going live on Nov 30th. God help us all.
Great demo and video! As a visual learner, I appreciate the review of the patient's chart with actual images and clear explanation!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
Why is this grayed or whited out?
I didn't get what do you mean , do you have a problem watching the video?

@@UA-camnurseit doesn’t “feel “ overwhelming. IT IS overwhelming. Most nurses I talk to say so. It cannot be a coincidence.
