Alan was so young and approachable then. But he hadn't begun to understand DC yet.

After PROVIDENCE i got interested in this "Comic god" and found out that early on he pretty much started out with Swamp Thing (after V for Vendetta). So having become a Comics fan AGAIN after about 20 years of staying away from it (why??!), I picked the Saga as well as many others (V, From Hell, Killing Joke etc.) and just finished Book six yesterday. GREAT RIDE!! Even though I sometimes felt not SO motivated to Keep on reading I ALWAYS got pulled in. ALL issues deliver really great and interesting Entertainment/art, very odd sometimes but always interesting, sometimes mind-blowing. I't a recommondation for sure!

Indeed. Just got back into comics after 15 yrs. Swamp Thing show brought me back. Been reading Saga of Swamp Thing, and the 1st series too, along with Justice League Dark from 2011. Phenomenal.

The Kirby story with the Kamara was pretty scary, too, though. The scariest moment in any comic was when the punk is turned into a bird.

The Kamara and the Brujeria are among the few that actually scared me.

i literally read that story in Saga of The Swamp Thing Book 4 minutes before i read your comment, it is pretty eerie especially when the Brujeria leader says "You must vomit the intestines out from the body. Here is a bowl, for catching them". Good read.

oi! i love splatters because its intense thriller. It has never got me more depressed. Quite the opposite. The psychology behind the person killing is like swamp thing. Where he lost himself and accepting a primal aspect of themself. Splatters gave me the same feels like DC universe has set on aswell as get out horror which is a simple but very fun horror too watch.
