I just bought the 2023 and I'm in love!
Congratulations.
After driving my friends'BMW X6 M Competition, I was slightly impressed, only slightly cause my Stinger GT features were quite similar to the BMW. I'm just loving my Stinger ❤
Glad to hear that!
Love my 2023 Stinger GT2! Gonna pay it off then start on the mods.
Kia has proven they can compete with the big boys. It’s the perfect package with four seats and a huge trunk. Who needs an SUV. Let’s see what they come up with next.
Not anymore. They quit making them
Sadly they are discontinued
My brother has one. It's dope!
I was looking at this car and the veloster N and I went with the Veloster N, it just fit me more
I have a 2023 Kia Stinger GT2 in a diesel update in the car are really really fast I love it 💪💪💪
Diesel?
Got the black on black version from the same dealership last week! Great car.
Congratulations! I know which one you are talking about. I was initially going to film that one, but they couldn't find it.
@DM Car Reviews, you need to hold the the traction control for 3-5 seconds so you'll see tracking control turn off and Stability control! then just break boost you see "Launch Control Enabled"
This car is very stylish. If Kia would’ve put a V8 in this, I believe people would’ve brought this more vs a scatpack. I mean when the stinger gt2 first released it was priced higher than the top of the line V8 Scatpack, & with the hellcat priced 10k more (base model) than a GT2 pre-Covid it’s no wonder sales wasn’t great & Kia discontinuing this car. I understand pricing now but this car should’ve been between 40-45k max.
Beautiful video, extraordinary run…👏 I'm looking at a Mach 1, a jewel to own and not to sell. But when a Stinger GT2 stopped by my side this week…😳 I know they are different proposals when it comes to preparations and track days. That won't be my case, I have to admit, the Stinger as a whole and the much more it offers inside and out, it's impressive…🤙 It has a lot of beauty, design and look as a whole. It's impressive how this Stinger awakens looks on the streets for its friendliness of the set 👏 It's a sedan, and 360Hp is an excellent size, after all, as I said, it's not for track day and preparations (in my case) and it has its 0- 60 in the same time as our also extraordinary Mach 1, 4.6 seconds and that's 10k less, so…🥂
Thank you! Exactly.
I believe its now 372 HP
i do own a stinger now but seeing some videos pop up i still watch them. I test drove a LOT of cars. I was very let down by a lot of the cars that were even within 10-20k more of the stinger. only thing I would maybe get instead would be an m4 or something. but for daily driving AND tuning I couldnt find anything better. I would get an x4 or x6m but thats not even that close of a comparison.... hopefully we get more GT cars from other brands soon.
Yes, the Stinger can compete with some higher priced cars
did you try the m340i, 3k more for the m340i xdrive is worth it in my opinion but I've only test drove the kia i havent owned it or drove it long enough to say for sure. Kias drivetrains scare me Korean products are usually shit. Beamers drivetrains on the new models are incredibly solid but the beamer electronics worry me lol, so i guess its a give take
@@docexotic only 3k more? Where are these deals?
To the rest of your comment I agree completely but it looks like some of the higher end model kias are holding up very well
@@turbo111777 msrp brother, also getting one 10-20k miles used beamer would prolly be cheaper due to depreciation on those jawns
@@docexotic I couldn't find shit for bmws where I lived when I got my stinger, plus you're forgetting all the mark up dealer bs going on
Super nice
Thank you!
I own a stinger but my guy, Audi's RS models can climb out of any hole faster than a Stinger shutters on a breaking turn. The Stinger is a fantastic car and spirited daily but it's not a sports car or a luxury car, It's a Kia.
Any Audi RS has tons of lag off the line if launch control is not used
To use launch control hold down the traction for 3-4 secs then you will see traction and stability off. two signs on the dash. then hold down brake and gas and you will see launch control activated. you should do 4.4 secs with factory launch control but if you do brake boost launch I got 4 secs dead on my stock 2022 kia stinger. 12.4 1/4 mile. which is a lot faster than Audi s5.
The LC doesn't do anything in this car. I had a 2021 GT1 AWD, and it was nowhere near 4 seconds or 12.4 seconds. My best time in the S5 I owned was 12.51s, in ideal conditions. The Stinger on average runs a higher 12s 1/4 mile. The brake boost method is useless for lights, and wears out your brakes...so no thank you.
Have you driven a G8x platform vehicle? I own/love my 2019 gt2 awd and consider adding a M440i coupe or M4 competition coupe with xdrive......yet all I'm hearing is they're stiff and you feel EVERYTHING ..... curious to hear your thoughts
Hi! Yes. I have! I think the M440i has an excellent ride. It's great in comfort mode.
its a beamer, you feel EVERYTHING in the suspension. I've test driven both cars though and the steering is dead in both, the beamer has a more on rails feeling than the stinger but they were both pretty valid. Heard the Kias are nightmares to work on, but so are BMWs so I feel like they are very similar in that sense. The 440i or m4 is not going to be as much of a daily powerhouse as the stinger but it will probably be way more fun and engaging on spirited drives
Great video. It's an incredible car in every way and has great potential. It was the car that always put a smile on my face esp during the lockdown days. An absolute dream daily driver that is fun and has a great spacious trunk. I'll never track mine have zero interest. I will agree they have quality control problems in the earlier years. I had a 2019 GT RWD (absolutely TERRIBLE rattles, bad braking vibration) and 2021 GT RWD (still some rattles but far less, TERRIBLE brakes vibration) and now a final 2023 GT2 AWD (best one by far zero noise no rattles no brake vibrations). I definitely can tell at least from my experience that the 2023 they fixed some of the issues but each car I had also had some WEIRD audio issues. My 2019 had terrible low volume; i had to literally max it out to hear anything. 2021 was perfect and 2023 is bit worse. While no car is perfect kia is basically going with the SUV/crossover/EV demand sadly and killed the car. Those who got one sure will be more rare and unique on the road. With some simple CIA/exhaust and suspension mods the car becomes even more exciting. The stock exhaust is WAY too quiet and restricted in every year.
I didn't have any issues with my 2021 GT AWD. No rattles, no brake vibrations. It was an amazing car!
I didn't have any issues with my 2021 GT AWD. No rattles, no brake vibrations. It was an amazing car!
In my 2022, I only noticed some slight clicking sound from the upper part of the driver’s door on a particularly hot day. Maybe the glue got too warm and allowed a little rattle. It’s since gone away and not returned. I also noticed some brake shutter at times. No big deal though. The brembos are made for performance, not comfort and they do it well. If you want perfectly smooth brakes don’t buy a sporty car.
So much potential from this ttv6 shame they are only using it in genesis now. Would be nice to see a bump in power to 400 or 380
Exactly! They should have never discontinued the Stinger. It's their best car yet...
The Crank HP is close to 380-400hp the car is underrated. WHP around 365
@@cwnapier67 yeah i am not surprised they could squeeze more power outta 3.3 liters
Withba tune and intake and cat delete ur over 400. Upgrade turbo and ur in 500s for 3k of mods
@@charlesl7385 exactly. Its quite amazing what this engine is capable of.
Is it faster than 2019 GT1? I really like how it sounds so much better than old models!
They have the same acceleration.
newer active exaust
They should have done the panoramic sunroof like the K5
Bro I swear I was just saying this.. I’ve been debating it but panoramic roof and maybe 400 miles on a full tank would be make it an easy buy for me!
@@hbmob112 i had a Lincoln mkz with a pan roof.
@@hbmob112The RWD model can give you 450 miles range on a less crowded highway. City we are definitely looking at around 300 miles.
So why did they stop making the Stinger (poor sales ) and fyi if you dont turn on the speed warning in the Audi MMI it does not come , Please if you can do a drag race with the Stinger and the S5
Hey! I could not find the speed warning setting for the HUD. It does not warn you when you are going above the limit and does not turn another color. As far as performance, the Stinger is definitely way faster off idle and more responsive/torquey. They are close in performance in all other disciplines.
I'm just wondering can u drive on the sport mode with not using a paddle shifter thank u
Yes
Move the shifter to the left in drive and you can shift with either the paddles or the by bumping the shifter forward and backward.
@@DMCarReviews thank u
@@dewfall56 thank u
They killed their best car
i currently own 22’ GT1 also in ceramic silver. can’t say only good things, the breaks are horrible. replaced stock pads and rotors with r1 concept, still get vibration. Headliner makes lot of noise for 50k car
That sucks🥺 I heard they do have those problems. I only had mine for 5,000 miles, so I can't judge it's longevity.
I have a 2022 K5 and noticed lots of noise in headliner / sunroof area also . Very annoying and frustrating
@@DMCarReviewswhat happened to it?
I bought a used 22 GT1. I can say I'm having the same brake and headliner issues.
@@Mr505505I traded it in for another car
Motor isn’t open deck. If it was it would be a good competitor to the s58 motor bmw has
It's a great motor, but I doubt it competes with the B58 or S58?
Great car! Do a genesis gv80!
Will try to.
nice - its a shame they killed this car. Really cool car with good performance
Agreed🥺
I drove one at my job and LET ME TELL YOU THIS CAR IS FASTER THAN YOU THINK AND VERY FUN TO DRIVE
What do you mean
killed it
@@ChristianHurlburt-ew6miI think he says that because it was discontinued. I really don't know if it's true
@@DaBrian21how about the 2.5 stinger
The temptation to pick one up is high. Everyone yells "but it's a Kia!" Who cares? Besides I'd argue it's more bmw than Kia. My only issue is not having a manual option.
It's a nice Kia!
Couldn’t take the video seriously when you raced the Audi that didn’t even wanna race and probably was just gonna let you in lol
You really think a 252hp A4 would have beat a Stinger GT? Even an S4 wouldn't
C’mon man you owned one…….you know you have to hold down TC button for 3 seconds to turn off stability to engage LC lol. It really doesn’t matter though as it doesn’t build boost with LC like the Germans do.
It didn't do anything. Also in German cars you only need to press traction control once.
Is this the tribute ?
No.
I almost forgot about this car, i dont know why some pepole say it has bad biuld quality, it doesnt
It’s certainly not a typical Kia from the past. The stinger and Telluride have redefined Kia as quality brand now. And they don’t have key starts anymore so much harder to steal.
Is this for sale??
It was a year ago :)
You gotta hold the traction control button off
Makes no difference
@@DMCarReviews yes it does you have to hold it down for like 3 seconds to fully turn it off to activate launch control, I daily a stinger 😅
@@DMCarReviews there will be 2 beeps
@@newciee I had one too, and it made no difference in my 0-60 times
How much is it?!
$53,000
@@DMCarReviews did you pay only that or you also paid mark up? I’m thinking to buy one today 🫡
Was u just trying to race a base line audi in the left turn lane? 😂
I was trying to merge?
2nd place behind a g70
I would take the Stinger over the G70.
@@DMCarReviews why’s that? size/looks? I could see wanting the stinger for more space or if you just really enjoy the looks but I think the g70 is a more appealing package for those who don’t need a lot of space
@@stillevan1908 The Stinger looks like a sports car, the G70 looks like a compact Hyundai in comparison.
@@DMCarReviews lol I don’t disagree - the previous gen g70 looks like the hot older sister of the previous gen Sonata lol
@@stillevan1908Pretty much😂
Kia haters are living in the distant past. This isn't a mustang ffs
ok but this car is not sport car
It's a sport grand touring
It's a KIA🤭
A very good Kia.
He's still not wrong. While probably a good car to drive it is still a Kia and the interior is cheap looking still. I'd rather get a used panamera if I'm getting a car like this.
@@ChipsA17 Have you been in one? The Panamera used is literally twice the price. If you really need people to accept you by owning a Porsche, go for it. It’s a completely different class. I traded my 2015 M4 in to buy a 2020 GT2, and you have no idea how much money I saved doing it. The maintenance on those classes of cars are not worth the squeeze imo. That’s why we drive these.
@@ChipsA17 The interior is cheap looking? 😂 not at all! But, I do enjoy your opinion SMH
