7:50 to void if he sees this, no you cant roll out of it at that shield distance. You have to either shield sdi or hope that the corrin gets greedy with the charge, you can also roll out of it if your shield isn't fully into the f smash charge
You only get a frame 1 invincible roll/spotdodge after 11 hits of a true blockstring. Corrin fsmash is not a true blockstring, so your only options are to try to shield SDI away until you can roll past, or to just drop shield and try to SDI out before the Corrin releases the move. Some characters have certain options to get out more easily, but the majority of the cast is just dead unless the Corrin messes up.
6:33 I always said "here we go" when I say DDD land there. Kinda just shows how guaranteed the stock was at that point. Oh yeah, he's going for a ride.
Is it possible to play sheik like this without playing claw? Like, is it possible to do the short hop rising aerials quick enough without having a separate finger for jump and attack?
@@LilRacoon123 hmm. Ok. I typically prefer to use A rather than c stick for aerials cause it's close to the jump button and I use my thumb for both. Maybe I'll try using one of the bumpers for jump. But I feel like it would be difficult to get consistent short hops on the bumpers. I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the tip.
@@LilRacoon123 So I tried your suggestions, and as I suspected, I find the bumpers have too much travel to be able to do short hops (but maybe that's just cause I have a shitty knock off GC controller). But your suggestion about using the c-stick for aerials was quite helpful. I actually did kind of end up switching to claw, at least for rising short hop aerials. I just couldn't tap jump and then attack quick enough with just my thumb to be able to get that super quick rising aerial stuff. I was afraid I would never be able to get short hops down with my index finger, but doing quick rising short hop aerials isn't actually too bad with my index finger on jump (Y). I also still use my thumb to jump (X) if I don't need a rising aerial as I still find short hops more consistent with my thumb if I'm not doing a rising aerial. But now I can finally do things like the super quick rising up airs out of down throw/F tilt! Anyways, just wanted to say thanks again for the tips. I'm very new to smash so it's appreciated.
@@scythear Hmm. Yeah I think it's just that I have to press the bumper so far in to get the activation that it makes it impossible to only tap it for the 3 frames needed for a short hop. Like, I wasn't even to get one single short hop after 10 mins of trying with the bumper and I'm usually pretty consistent at short hops with the X button. Maybe a pro controller would be easier but I'm pretty used to the GC controller. I'll see how claw goes and if I'm unable to adapt to it then I'll consider getting a better controller.
That corrin used dtilt WAY too much especially when you were at low percents and he kept getting punished even on hit for it and he STILL kept doing it smh
Actually only because the most corrin players are bad in the matchup. I main Corrin and I beat Shiek up even when I am often in disadvantage you have to stay calm find your way out and use your (compared to shiek) superior killpower and range to win. I know Corrin is way worse than in Smash4 but she's kinda a good character. Not amazing but much better than most people think.
sheik could kill, its just that a majority of sheik players become dependent on her smash moves or try to off stage dolphin, imo when fighting them. same with fox. he cant kill unless you parry to up smash or otherwise they just just spam a b-air(deadass. most fox players who cant do that final kill will start mass jumping into a bair. makes them hella predictable lol)
3:44 just looked at the frame data and Steve's down tilt is +5 on shield.
Yeah, but most characters can jump oos in between the hits, not sure about Kazuya though.
It’s technically a projectile so it makes sense. It’s otherwise pretty laggy
@@Braxeo you can roll out as kazuya

You could set the bumper buttons to jump. Doing aerials with the c stick helps as well (if you don't already do that).
